Jared Magnus visits the Lu Mansion and says something hurtful to Jiang Yuyan, causing her to break down. Lu Lijun rushes home, comforts her, and insists that the past wasn't her fault. After Yuyan falls asleep, Lu Lijun leaves to confront Jared, despite his mother's worries. Jared, meanwhile, plots further revenge.

After slumbering for several hours, Jiang Yuyan awoke to find Jiang Yang seated beside her. Still groggy, she surveyed her surroundings, trying to orient herself.

"Brother?" she slurred. Jiang Yang gently stroked her hair. "How are you feeling now?"

"Fine." She sat up in the bed. "Where is Lu Lijun?" she inquired, only to be interrupted. "Yuyan, have some water first."

Nicky was also present, offering her a glass of water.

She accepted it, took a few sips, and then repeated her question, "Where is Lu Lijun?"

"He is not here," Jiang Yang replied.

"Where did he go?" She looked at her brother with suspicion. There was no way Lu Lijun would abandon her in this state; he was the sort to forsake everything just to be by her side. "Tell me where he is."

Jiang Yang stood up. "Come with me. I'll take you to him."

Her heart plummeted. "What is happening? Tell me immediately."

"He's in the hospital," Jiang Yang stated. "There was an accident…"

"What?" She leaped from the bed in a panic. "Tell me he's okay." Tears streamed down her face as she clutched her brother's hands. The mere word 'accident' felt like it had ripped her soul from her body; it was utterly terrifying. "He's fine. Trust me," Jiang Yang reassured her. "I'll take you to him."

She rushed out, unconcerned about her appearance, and Nicky followed them. They arrived at the hospital, where all the family members were gathered in the VIP section. Ignoring everyone, Yuyan hurried forward, "Where is Lu Lijun?" her voice laced with panic, desperate to reach him.

"Calm down. He's okay," Lu Jinhai attempted to soothe her, pointing towards a door. "He's in there."

She burst into the room and saw Ning Jiahui perched on the edge of the bed, her eyes red with tears as she gazed at her son. Lu Lijun lay on the bed, unconscious. An IV drip was connected to his hand, and bandages wrapped his head and hand, indicating minor bruises. "Lijun," Jiang Yuyan whispered, moving towards him. She clasped his hand and couldn't contain her sobs any longer. Jiang Yang entered the room behind her. "He's alright. The accident wasn't too severe. Just minor injuries. He'll wake up soon."

She merely hummed in response, continuing to weep. The more she looked at him, the more she realized she had to take decisive action, or the next incident might not end so simply.

Wiping her tears, Jiang Yuyan turned to Ning Jiahui, who sat there, lost in her sorrow as if nothing else existed beyond her son. "Mother, I am sorry. Because of me, your other son is also in danger," Jiang Yuyan apologized. "But I will resolve this once and for all. After this, I won't let that man harm any of us again."

Lost in her despair, Ning Jiahui finally spoke, "Make sure he never dares to do it again."

"Yes, Mother."

"Yuyan, where are you going?" Jiang Yang asked, concern etched on his face. "To end it all," she replied, stepping out of the room decisively, determination blazing in her eyes. The others looked on in surprise at her sudden resolve, but she paid them no mind and walked away, Jiang Yang following close behind. "Yuyan."

"What happened?" Lu Jinhai inquired, also following her. "Yuyan, where are you headed?"

She paused and looked at the worried man. "Father, there's something I need to do."

"Yuyan, you aren't going to do anything reckless."

"Reckless already happened, Father," she retorted. "Don't worry. I'll be fine."

"Yuyan."

"I must do this, or the next accident won't be so simple. I already lost Qiang; I cannot lose Lijun now," she declared for all to hear. "I would rather die this very moment than let the past repeat itself. I have to go."

No one could stop her, but Noah and Xiao Min followed in pursuit.

"Noah, stay with Lijun," Jiang Yuyan commanded, allowing Xiao Min to trail behind her. Noah could only comply.

"Xiao Min, call San Zemin," she instructed, and the man materialized beside her. She halted and fixed him with a glare. "You failed to protect him."

San Zemin remained silent, offering no defense, nor did he possess the right to apologize. "Take me to where that bastard is right now," Jiang Yuyan ordered, her voice leaving no room for refusal. San Zemin could only obey, even though she wasn't his superior at the moment; one simply dared not disregard her authority.

Half an hour later, they arrived at the residence where Jared was staying, a place he had acquired for himself. "Give me your gun," she commanded. San Zemin retrieved his firearm from its holster and handed it over, understanding he had no choice but to obey. "Boss…"

"I know how to handle it," she stated, cutting him off. She then exited the vehicle, tucking the firearm into her jeans at her back, ensuring her top concealed it. "You two remain in the car."

"However..."

"Do as you're told," she commanded curtly before approaching the gate. "Inform Jared that Jiang Yuyan is here to see him," she instructed the security personnel. The guard relayed the message, and she was granted entry into the estate. Inside the car, Xiao Min and San Zemin exchanged worried glances. "What is she planning?" Xiao Min queried. "Let's just hope she doesn't end up killing that man," San Zemin sighed heavily. "She isn't that impulsive. Besides, if anyone deserves harm, it's him," Xiao Min remarked. They both stared at the gate, yearning to breach its boundary but restrained by a direct order.

Jiang Yuyan was escorted to the drawing room of the mansion. There, she observed a man seated relaxedly on the sofa, a glass of wine in his hand. "Ms. Jiang, I've been expecting you, and you've finally arrived," the man began, a sinister grin spreading across his lips.
