A massive sea monster attacks the outpost, causing widespread destruction. As Meiling prepares her followers to defend against the creature, a whale-like beast emerges from the depths and battles the monster. The whale appears to be winning, but the red monster ultimately overpowers and kills it, then turns its attention back to the outpost. Meanwhile, Ren and Anna interrogate a woman who appears to have orchestrated attacks against their bases, using her hypnotized servants to extract information.

Suspended in mid-air, directly before the colossal crimson beast, stood a man. He appeared significantly older than she recalled, his once handsome features etched with the profound weariness of age and relentless hardship, yet she recognized him with absolute certainty. That face was unforgettable, familiar across any existence, any cycle they endured.

It was none other than Ren, the deity of this desolate realm, the man she cherished above all else in creation.

And Chiyo's luminous, shadowed dagger was plunged deep into his very heart.

He had willingly intercepted the fatal strike intended for the monstrous entity.

Chiyo recoiled as if the dagger's hilt were searing hot, releasing it immediately. Clutching him desperately, she wrapped her arms around Ren's neck, pulling him close as his lifeblood gushed from the grievous wound, staining her tattered garments.

"Why?" Chiyo cried out, her voice choked with sobs, burying her face into the crook of his shoulder. "Why did you return here? Why inflict this pain upon me?"

A faint smile graced Ren's lips, though crimson pooled in his mouth. He seemed profoundly weary, yet a sense of tranquility settled upon him. With a slow, faltering movement, he raised a trembling hand to cup Chiyo's dirt-smudged cheek. His thumb tenderly caressed away the tears streaming down her face.

"Because I must," Ren whispered, his voice frail but imbued with an unmistakable tenderness. "It is my inescapable fate."

He gazed intently into her tear-filled eyes one final time, endeavoring to etch every detail of her visage into his memory before the encroaching darkness consumed him. Then, his hand, loosened from her cheek, fell limply to his side. His eyes fluttered shut, his final breath ceasing its gentle rise and fall. He perished then, cradled within her embrace.

"Ren! No, please, awaken!" Chiyo shrieked towards the heavens, clinging to his lifeless form with all her might.

Abruptly, the immense scarlet creature unleashed a roar that dwarfed all previous sounds, an unearthly cry of profound anguish and unbearable sorrow. It was as though the very soul of the beast resonated with Ren's tragic demise.

The leviathan convulsed with a terrifying, newfound vigor fueled by sheer grief. Its thrashing was so violent that the golden dragon could no longer contain it. In rapid succession, the crimson monstrosity brutally severed the golden dragon's remaining five heads. The spiritual Qi dispersed utterly, dissolving into nothingness on the desolate winds.

Deprived of her mystical power that sustained her aerial perch, and with her heart shattered beyond repair, Chiyo lost her ability to defy gravity.

She relinquished her hold on Ren's inert body as the beast's wild contortions flung her backward with immense force. She began to plummet. The frigid air whipped past her ears as she descended rapidly towards the turbulent, ink-black sea far below.

Chiyo made no effort to halt her descent. She did not attempt to muster further power or seek self-preservation. Her gaze simply lifted towards the somber sky, fixed upon the vanishing luminescence of her fractured dragon and the falling form of her beloved, now deceased.

She closed her eyes serenely, a wistful, truly peaceful smile gracing her blood-stained lips.

"I love you, Ren," she murmured softly into the gale. "My dearest."

Then, the dark, icy embrace of the ocean claimed her entirely.

Meanwhile, Ren and Anna emerged from the opulent mansion, expressions of profound satisfaction adorning their countenances.

The grand estate behind them, once a monument to avaricious excess, now stood silent, its riches plundered. The captive they had subdued, a corrupt magnate who had hoarded vast wealth while the populace languished in hunger, even commissioning the elimination of those who sought to liberate them.

Ren adjusted the substantial sack slung across his shoulder, laden with gold bullion, precious gems, and invaluable antiquities they had liberated. Anna accompanied him, her stride imbued with confidence, a subtle smile gracing her lips as the setting sun cast elongated shadows across the meticulously tended grounds.

"That proceeded with surprising ease," Ren remarked, casting a backward glance at the imposing structure. "The old miser put up virtually no resistance once we demonstrated our capabilities."

Anna concurred, a triumphant spark glinting in her eyes. "Years of preying upon the vulnerable have culminated in her downfall. Henceforth, her ill-gotten gains shall empower the revolution."

As they approached the gravel pathway leading toward the main thoroughfare, Anna's cellular device emitted a buzz from her pocket. She retrieved it, glancing at the illuminated screen. "It is the leader," she announced, her voice softening to a conspiratorial whisper. She accepted the incoming call, holding the device to her ear. "Leader? This is Anna reporting."

The voice emanating from the other end conveyed a palpable sense of urgency and concern. "Anna! Thank heavens you are unharmed. Are you secure? What of the others? We have received dispatches indicating widespread turmoil."

Anna maintained a composed tone, her gaze scanning the surrounding panorama for any indication of pursuit. "We faced an assault earlier, but I managed to evade capture. Presently, I am locating all individuals implicated in orchestrating the attack. They shall not evade retribution."

The leader's response was immediate and resolute. "Return to the primary base without delay. A regrouping is imperative to strategize our subsequent actions collectively. It remains excessively perilous to venture forth alone."

Anna shook her head, though the leader couldn't see it. "It's fine, Leader. I have Ren with me, and he's helping."

There was a pause, followed by a skeptical chuckle. "Ren? What good is one man? You need the full force of our group behind you. We have dozens ready to fight."

Anna smiled, casting a sidelong glance at Ren, who was busy inspecting a glittering necklace from the sack. "You'll see, Leader. Just take care of yourself. The attacks have halted for now. Gather as many as you can and prepare to strike back hard."

She muttered a quick goodbye and ended the call, slipping the phone back into her pocket. Ren looked up from the loot, his eyes gleaming with greed as he eyed the assortment of valuables. "I guess we need to throw these things to the common folks out there in the free side after turning them into money," he muttered, weighing a gold bar in his hand.

Anna laughed softly. "Well, that's a job for the Liberators, not us. We have better things to do." She nudged him playfully. "So, what's the next house on our list? We've got momentum now. Let's keep hitting these corrupt elites where it hurts."

Ren opened his mouth to respond, pulling out a crumpled map from his jacket, but before he could speak, a brilliant red and golden light exploded across the sky. It spread like wildfire, painting the clouds in eerie hues and casting an unnatural glow over everything.

The air grew thick with an oppressive energy, and both Ren and Anna felt a deep disturbance ripple through their bodies, like a wave of foreboding.

"What now?" Ren asked, his voice laced with irritation as he shielded his eyes from the blinding light.

Suddenly, a chilling sensation crept over him, as if icy fingers were tracing down his spine. Anna felt it too; her face paled, and she dropped everything she was holding, the items clattering to the ground. Without a word, she lunged forward and hugged Ren tightly, her arms wrapping around him like a vice.

Ren looked down at her, confused. "What are you doing? Anna, snap out of it."

But Anna's eyes were filled with tears, streaming down her cheeks as she clung to him. "Please don't die, Ren," she whispered, her voice breaking. "Please... don't leave me."

Ren's confusion deepened, but a knot of unease twisted in his gut. He knew something was terribly wrong, something beyond the light in the sky. He held her close, scanning the surroundings for threats, but the world seemed frozen in that moment of unnatural stillness.

Meanwhile, in a distant tower overlooking the city, Judith stood by the window, her gaze drawn to the same ominous light spreading across the heavens. Her eyes welled up with tears, unbidden and inexplicable. She pressed a hand to her chest, wondering what the hell was happening to her. It felt like a piece of her soul was being torn away, a grief she couldn't place.

A knock at the door interrupted her thoughts. A woman with striking purple hair entered the room. It was Spitter, one of Judith's trusted aides, her face etched with concern. "Mother, I have news about Silver," Spitter said, holding a folder tightly. "She's disappeared. No trace after the last raid. Our scouts are combing the area, but... it's not looking good."

Judith wiped her tears away quickly, but not before Spitter noticed. The purple-haired woman raised an eyebrow, surprised. "Are you alright, mother? I've never seen you like this."

Judith straightened, forcing composure. "Send more people and find out what happened to her. I won't let any of my daughters die or disappear again like this." Her voice was firm, but the tears lingered in her eyes, a mystery even to her.

Why was she crying? What is she crying for? She had never seen her own tears! This was a mystery to her.
