Yandere Levelling in Her World Chapter 201 201: Battle of Leviathans

Meiling sprinted to the outpost's summit, her pulse hammering like a war drum against her ribs. All around them stretched the sea, its dark waters churning ominously beneath the night sky.
A number of her devoted Lan followers ascended to join her, their countenances ashen under the strobing lights. The sirens wailed incessantly, their alarms mingling with the cacophony erupting from every direction. Thunderous crashes, soul-shaking roars, and human-like shrieks of wind assailed their ears.
"Observe that!" exclaimed one follower, a young woman named Maila whose eyes were wide with disbelief. She gestured southward, where the horizon was ablaze with an unholy luminescence. "Structures... they are simply disintegrating!"
Meiling narrowed her gaze toward the distance. Far off, along the southern expanse, towering edifices that once graced the coastline were being tossed about as if they were mere playthings. One after another, they splintered, unleashing vast clouds of dust and debris into the atmosphere. Her stomach churned with dread. What kind of power could inflict such destruction? She turned to her followers, observing the deep-seated fear etched upon their faces.
One woman gripped her weapon, a luminous firearm imbued with her personal power. "Lady Meiling, this is sheer madness! The very ground is convulsing as if the world is coming to an end. What if our defenses falter?"
Another follower swiped sweat from her brow. "I have faced savage beasts before, but this... this feels fundamentally different. It is as though the ocean itself has been provoked. We are encircled by water. Should it lash out, there will be no escape."
Meiling offered a nod, attempting to project an air of resolve. Internally, however, her thoughts were consumed by her mother. Lan Xinyue had inexplicably vanished from the slumbering chamber. How? And why now? She surveyed the outpost, her gaze sweeping from one anxious face to another.
The world seemed to decelerate around her. She registered every shout and cry echoing in her hearing. Each subtle movement—a tremor from the people, or the nervous shifting of feet. The wind tore at her hair, and the ocean's roar intensified, as if time itself were stretching thin.
From the periphery of her vision, she perceived a solitary figure poised atop the distant edifice that served as the Lan family's current stronghold. Her ancestral home, or a semblance of it. The silhouette appeared human, yet an indefinable anomaly permeated its presence. Before she could focus, a sharp cry diverted her attention.
"It is advancing in our direction!" bellowed one of her subordinates from below, her voice slicing through the pandemonium like a honed blade.
Meiling snapped her head back towards the south. There, bisecting the waves, was a colossal swell. It was not merely water, but some darker entity, a vast wave of frothing chaos and shadow hurtling towards them with terrifying velocity. "Ready all powers!" Meiling commanded, her voice betraying none of the fear gnawing at her resolve. "Everyone, channel your energies! Warriors, erect the barrier! We will defend this wall and vanquish this abomination!"
The followers moved with urgent haste. "Yes, Lady Meiling!" they responded, their voices raised as they ignited their personal energy auras. Some brought forth their empowered artifacts, murmuring ancient words of power. "Spirits of the abyss, grant us your might!"
As the monstrous entity breached the surface of the sea, the outpost's powerful floodlights cut through the oppressive darkness, revealing its frightful aspect. Its skin was a scaled crimson, glistening and armored like that of a formidable crocodile. Multiple tendrils whipped out from its core, each terminating in a cluster of grasping appendages and unblinking eyes that radiated a predatory, insatiable hunger.
Its primary form resembled a colossal worm, undulating through the water with a disturbing fluidity, its cavernous maw bristling with rows of razor-sharp teeth. Viscous slime dripped from its form, fizzing upon contact with the waves.
"By the heavens, what manner of creature is that?" a woman gasped, staggering backward. "It is... it is a waking nightmare!"
The sheer horror proved too much for some. A few turned and fled outright, their shrieks piercing the stormy air. "I cannot confront such a thing! Flee for your lives!" one screamed as she scrambled down the stairs.
Meiling stood momentarily frozen, a chilling dread seizing her. The spectacle struck her with physical force. Yet, from deep within, her Imperial Qi surged. A magnificent dragon, woven from threads of pure gold, materialized behind her, emitting a silent, powerful roar. It illuminated the entire vicinity with a radiant glow, casting elongated shadows and imbuing everyone with a comforting warmth. Hope began to dawn in their eyes.
"Behold! Lady Meiling's dragon!" one follower cried out, her voice filled with newfound courage. "Our battle is far from over!"
They quickly regained their composure. "Indeed! With that power at our disposal, we can defeat it!"
The monstrous entity drew nearer, its tendrils lashing violently at the churning waves. The outpost groaned under the strain. Followers leveled their weapons, their Qi energies crackling audibly in the charged atmosphere. "Open fire on my command!" Meiling ordered, her protective dragon coiling defensively. A palpable suspense permeated the air. Hearts pounded in unison. Fingers hovered over triggers. The creature's malevolent eyes fixed upon them, promising utter annihilation.
But then, abruptly, from the flank, another colossal form erupted from the watery depths. A whale-like leviathan, immense and emitting a faint luminescence against the darkened sky, slammed into the crimson monstrosity. Water erupted in a colossal geyser, drenching the entire outpost.
"What in the blazes?" Meiling exclaimed, her eyes wide with astonishment.
A collective gasp echoed through the crowd, jaws agape. "Another one has appeared?" someone voiced the stunned thought. "Is it... lending us aid?"
They craned their necks, peering over the edge. "Incredible! It's engaging the crimson entity!"
A colossal battle between monstrous beings commenced upon the waves. The whale-like leviathan charged once more, its immense maw snapping ferociously. It collided with the serpentine monster, unleashing tremors that reverberated through the outpost. Its tentacles recoiled momentarily before lashing out, grasping at the whale's fins.
Orbs within the tentacles unleashed dark energy beams, scorching the ocean's surface. The whale let out a deep, resonant roar that vibrated the very air, retaliating with a powerful tail sweep that shattered the enemy's scales.
"Surely that colossal fish is on our side, yes? It must be!"
Nods of affirmation swept through the onlookers. "Who is that other entity? A protector from the abyss? Perhaps the divine spirits have heeded my plea!"
Others chimed in with shared sentiment. "Indeed, it fights for our cause!" one individual exclaimed. "Vanquish it, mighty warrior!"
However, Meiling's expression grew troubled. A flicker of recognition sparked within her. That whale... it seemed familiar. It bore a resemblance to the creature that had imprisoned the man during her prior rescue of a disoriented individual from its interior. No, wait... her mind grasped at a hazy recollection.
A prisoner encased within such a monstrous form, during a rescue operation conducted ages ago. "That whale... I have encountered it before," she murmured.
The fierce engagement continued unabated. The whale appeared to be gaining the upper hand, pinning the crimson beast with powerful grips. Its fins sliced through, drawing forth dark, viscous fluid. The red creature thrashed, its tendrils coiling tightly around the whale's immense body. "It has the advantage!" the crowd roared. "The crimson one is faltering!"
A surge of hope coursed through the observers. Cheers erupted from the outpost. "Annihilate it!" they began to chant.
But then, in a shocking turn of events, the crimson monster erupted with renewed ferocity. It lunged forward, its maw gaping wide like a monstrous abyss. Fangs plunged deep into the whale's neck. A gruesome cracking sound reverberated, followed by an outpouring of thick, dark blood that spread like a stain across the sea, dyeing it crimson beneath the artificial lights. The whale writhed in agony, its movements losing their vigor.
"No!" Meiling cried out, frozen once more by sheer astonishment.
The onlookers stared in utter disbelief. "It... it is slaying it!" a woman stammered, her voice trembling. "So much blood... the ocean is painted in red!"
Another woman clutched her mouth, her eyes wide with fear. "Our chance has vanished. That monstrosity will target us next!"
The whale released a final, agonizing bellow before its body went lifeless. The red monster loosened its hold, its predecessor's form slowly descending into the depths. Tendrils waved in a gesture of victory as it turned its glowing gaze back towards the outpost.
Meanwhile, atop the Lan headquarters, a woman with raven hair sat composedly, her legs dangling over the building's edge. Beside her rested an unconscious woman, her features serene in sleep. An angel hovered nearby, its wings emitting a faint luminescence, a silent, vigilant presence. The woman with black hair observed the unfolding spectacle, her gaze sharp and discerning.
"I had intended to locate her," she murmured, casting a glance at the sleeping figure. "But it appears she is determined to seek you out."
The angel inclined its head slightly but remained silent. Below, the chaos intensified as the crimson monster advanced once more. A faint smile graced the woman's lips. "This world is perpetually full of unexpected turns. Let us witness how Meiling fares in her reunion with her kin. What a profound memory this shall be!"

Concurrently, Ren and Anna stood beside a woman who was forcibly held in a kneeling position by her own subordinates and guards. Their eyes held a vacant, glassy stare, as if they were under a hypnotic trance, devoid of any personal will.
Anna glared at the subjugated woman with unbridled contempt, her fists clenched tightly. "Ren, let us eliminate this vile creature who presumes she can escape retribution."
Ren offered a serene smile, his sharp eyes observing as he tilted his head. "Were you the sole individual who contracted mercenaries to assail the Liberator installations?"
The woman remained silent, her lips pressed into a tight, unyielding line. She fixed her gaze upon the ground, refusing to meet their eyes.
Anna let out a scoff. "Still defiant? Very well." She turned her head, her gaze meeting that of one of the entranced women nearby, who held a wooden bat in her grasp.
Without uttering a word, the hypnotized woman swung the bat with moderate force, striking the kneeling woman squarely on the back. The impact reverberated within the chamber, eliciting a sharp cry of pain from the woman, a piercing sound that filled the air. Blood began to seep through her attire, marring the fabric with a crimson hue.
"AHHHHHHH! Desist!" the woman shrieked, her body trembling violently from the brutal impact.
Ren knelt before her, his smile unwavering, yet his voice adopted a low, menacing tone. "So, what is it? Provide your answer, or the consequences will escalate."
The woman winced, her breathing heavy and labored. "I... I possess no knowledge of what you are implying."
Anna chuckled coldly. "Oh, is that so? You believe us to be fools? We possess irrefutable evidence. Your clandestine machinations involving those hired ruffians. We are aware of your involvement; we merely seek additional names, lest I ensure that bat strikes with greater force next time."
Ren drew nearer, his gaze intense. "Spit it out. Was this your own scheme, or were there others pulling the strings from behind? Confess, and perhaps we'll spare you if you betray the rest."
