In the Divine Palace, a chained blonde woman is judged by gods and goddesses. Her son, Ren, suddenly appears and kills the All-Father with a forbidden dagger. The woman, freed, goes on a rampage against the gods, who regenerate. Ren kisses her, triggering a transformation into a monstrous Destroyer, which shatters the Divine Palace and sends the gods falling to the mortal plane. The black-haired woman watches, holding the dagger, vowing to save the blonde woman.

Meiling scrambled to the summit of the outpost, her pulse hammering like a war drum. The vast ocean encompassed them on all sides, its dark waves churning furiously beneath the night sky.

A number of her devoted Lan followers ascended to join her, their countenances ashen in the intermittent flashing lights. The incessant wail of sirens mingled with the cacophony of sounds erupting from every direction. Thunderous crashes, soul-shaking roars, and piercing shrieks of wind that bore an unnerving human quality.

"Behold!" exclaimed Maila, a young follower with wide, disbelieving eyes. She gestured towards the south, where the distant horizon blazed with an unholy fire. "Structures... they are simply disintegrating!"

Meiling peered intently into the distance. Far off, to the south, colossal edifices that once graced the coastline were being carelessly swept aside as if they were mere playthings. One after another, they fractured, unleashing billows of dust and debris into the atmosphere. A sickening lurch twisted her stomach. What power could unleash such destruction? She turned to her followers, their faces etched with profound fear.

A woman gripped her weapon, a luminous firearm integrated with her innate power. "Lady Meiling, this is sheer lunacy! The very earth trembles as if the world is coming undone. What if our defenses falter?"

Another follower brushed sweat from her brow. "I have faced formidable beasts before, but this... this feels entirely different. It's as though the ocean itself has been enraged. We are adrift, surrounded by water. If it turns against us, there is no escape."

Meiling nodded, striving to maintain her composure. Yet, internally, her thoughts were consumed by concern for her mother. Lan Xinyue had inexplicably vanished from the sleeping quarters. How? And why now? Her gaze swept across the outpost, her eyes flicking from one individual to another.

The world seemed to decelerate around her. Every cry and exclamation resonated within her ears. Every hesitant movement, every nervous shifting of feet, appeared magnified. The wind tousled her hair, and the ocean's roar intensified, as if time itself had stretched to its limit.

From the periphery of her vision, she perceived a figure standing atop a distant edifice, the current headquarters of the Lan family. Her ancestral home, or at least its semblance. The silhouette appeared human, yet an inexplicable wrongness permeated its presence. Before she could ascertain more, an urgent shout diverted her attention.

"It's heading this way!" bellowed one of her subordinates from below, her voice slicing through the pandemonium like a razor.

Meiling’s head snapped back to the south. There, cleaving through the waves, was a colossal swell. Not merely water, but something darker, a monstrous wave of churning foam and shadow hurtling towards them with terrifying velocity. "Ready all powers!" Meiling commanded, her voice betraying little of the fear gripping her heart. "Everyone, channel your spiritual energy! Warriors, form the defensive barrier! We shall hold the line and vanquish this monstrosity!"

The followers reacted with haste. "Yes, Lady Meiling!" they vociferated, their bodies imbued with vibrant auras of power. Some raised their enchanted weapons, murmuring ancient chants. "Spirits of the abyss, grant us your might!"

As the horrifying entity breached the surface of the sea, the outpost's powerful floodlights pierced the gloom, revealing its ghastly form. Its skin was a scaled, crimson hide, glistening and formidable like that of a crocodile. Multiple tentacles writhed from its body, each terminating in a cluster of grasping appendages and unblinking eyes that gazed with malevolent hunger.

Its primary form was serpentine, undulating through the water with a repulsive grace, its gaping maw revealing rows of needle-sharp teeth. Viscous slime dripped from its form, bubbling upon the ocean's surface.

"By the heavens, what abomination is that?" a woman stammered, recoiling in terror. "It is... it is a waking nightmare!"

Some of the followers succumbed to sheer terror. A few turned and fled, their screams echoing through the night. "I cannot face that! Flee while you still can!" one shrieked as she bolted down the stairs.

Meiling stood momentarily frozen, a chilling dread seizing her. The spectacle struck her with the force of a physical blow. But then, deep within her core, her Imperial Qi surged. A magnificent golden dragon, woven from threads of pure light, materialized behind her, emitting a silent, potent roar. Its radiance illuminated the entire area, casting stark shadows and enveloping all in a comforting warmth. Hope sparked anew in their eyes.

"Look! It's Lady Meiling's dragon!" one follower cried out, her voice filled with renewed determination. "Our fight is not yet over!"

They promptly regained their composure. "Indeed! With such power, we can triumph!"

The monstrous creature advanced, its tentacles thrashing violently against the waves. The outpost shuddered under the assault. Followers aimed their weapons, streams of Qi energy crackling audibly in the charged air. "Open fire upon my command!" Meiling declared, her spectral dragon coiling protectively around her. An almost unbearable tension permeated the atmosphere. Hearts pounded in unison. Fingers hovered over triggers. The creature's unholy eyes fixed upon them, promising utter annihilation.

But then, abruptly, from their flank, another colossal form erupted from the abyssal depths. A whale-like leviathan, immense and faintly luminous against the dark sky, crashed violently into the crimson monstrosity. Water erupted in a towering geyser, drenching the outpost and its defenders.

"What in the blazes is happening?" Meiling exclaimed, her eyes wide with astonishment.

Gasps of astonishment echoed, mouths agape. "Another one?" a voice queried, barely audible. "Could it... could it be assisting us?"

They craned their necks, peering over the precipice. "Incredible! Observe its actions! It's engaging the crimson entity!"

A titanic clash unfolded upon the oceanic expanse. The leviathan-like beast charged once more, its colossal maw lunging. It collided with the serpentine monstrosity, unleashing tremors that jolted the very outpost. Tendrils recoiled, appendages grasping desperately at the whale's pectoral fins.

Ocular orbs embedded in the tentacles discharged blasts of dark energy, searing the waves. The whale emitted a resonant roar, a profound bellow that permeated the atmosphere, and retaliated with a caudal strike that fractured the crimson creature's carapace.

"Surely that magnificent aquatic being is aligned with us? It must be!"

Heads nodded in fervent agreement. "What manner of entity is this? A protector of the abyss? Perhaps the celestial spirits have heeded my invocation!"

Others echoed the sentiment. "Indeed, it fights on our behalf!" one individual exclaimed. "Vanquish it, mighty one!"

However, Meiling's expression darkened, her brow furrowed in contemplation. A flicker of recollection ignited. That cetacean... it bore a striking resemblance. The identical creature that had ensnared the man previously, during her daring rescue of the enigmatic individual from its interior. No, wait... a fragmented memory surfaced, indistinct and hazy.

A captive entombed within such a monstrous form, during a past rescue operation. "That whale... I know I've seen it before," she whispered, the words barely escaping her lips.

The titanic struggle intensified. The whale appeared to be gaining the upper hand, immobilizing the scarlet fiend with powerful vice-like grips. Its fins carved through the water, drawing forth a viscous, black ichor. The crimson adversary writhed, its sinuous appendages constricting around the whale's massive frame. "It has the advantage!" the onlookers cried. "The crimson one is faltering!"

A surge of hope coursed through the populace. Cheers erupted from the sanctuary of the outpost. "Annihilate it!" the clamor began.

Then, in a horrifying turn of events, the crimson leviathan erupted with renewed ferocity. It lunged, its vermiform maw gaping wide. Fangs plunged deep into the whale's cervical region. A sickening crunch reverberated, and blood, thick and inky, cascaded forth, dyeing the surrounding sea in its wake. The water transformed into a crimson tableau, a widening stain beneath the artificial lights. The whale convulsed, but its strength waned, its movements becoming sluggish.

"No!" Meiling gasped, her body frozen once more by sheer astonishment.

All eyes turned to the ghastly scene, a collective inhalation of horror. "It... it is exterminating it!" a woman stammered, her voice trembling. "All that sanguinary fluid... the ocean is awash in crimson!"

Another woman clapped a hand over her mouth, her eyes wide with dread. "Our salvation is lost. That abomination will now advance upon us!"

The whale released a final, agonizing bellow before its form went inert. The crimson entity disengaged its hold, its massive body beginning a slow descent into the depths. Its tentacles waved in a macabre display of victory as it pivoted towards the outpost, its eyes burning with triumphant malice.

Meanwhile, from the zenith of the Lan Corporation's headquarters, a woman with raven locks sat with remarkable composure, her legs suspended over the building's edge. Beside her rested a woman in an unconscious state, her features serene in slumber. An angelic being hovered near, its wings emitting a soft luminescence, maintaining a silent vigil. The dark-haired woman observed the unfolding spectacle, her gaze piercing.

"My intention was to locate her," she murmured, casting a glance at the dormant woman. "However, it appears she intends to seek you out."

The celestial being inclined its head slightly, remaining reticent. Below, the pandemonium persisted, the crimson harbinger of doom advancing with grim inevitability. The woman's lips curved into a faint smile. "This world is replete with unforeseen developments. Let us ascertain how Meiling shall confront her reunion with her sisters. What a memorable occasion this promises to be!"

Concurrently, Ren and Anna stood beside a woman who was forcibly restrained and compelled to kneel by her own retinue of servants and guards. Their eyes, vacant and glassy, suggested a state akin to hypnosis, fixed forward without any semblance of independent will.

Anna directed a look of unadulterated loathing at the subjugated woman, her fists clenched tightly. "Ren, let us dispatch this vile creature who presumes to act with impunity."

Ren offered a placid smile, his eyes sharp as he tilted his head. "Were you the sole individual responsible for retaining mercenaries to assault the Liberator installations?"

The woman remained resolutely silent, her lips forming a thin, unyielding line. She fixed her gaze upon the ground, steadfastly avoiding their scrutiny.

Anna emitted a derisive snort. "Still defiant? Very well." She shifted her head, her gaze meeting that of one of the entranced women nearby, who brandished a wooden bludgeon.

Without uttering a sound, the entranced woman swung the club with moderate force, delivering a resounding blow to the kneeling woman's back. The impact echoed ominously within the chamber, eliciting a sharp cry of agony from the woman, a piercing shriek that reverberated through the air. Crimson lifeblood began to seep through her garments, marring the fabric with a dark stain.

"AHHHHHHH! Cease this torment!" the woman implored, her body quivering violently from the impact.

Ren knelt before her, his smile unwavering, yet his voice adopted a low, menacing tone. "So, reveal the truth. Articulate your reasons, or face escalating consequences."

The woman winced, her breaths coming in ragged gasps. "I... I possess no knowledge of your accusations."

Anna responded with a cold, humorless laugh. "Indeed? Do you perceive us as fools? We possess irrefutable evidence. Your clandestine machinations involving those hired brigands. We are aware of your complicity; we merely seek the identities of your associates, lest I direct that bludgeon with even greater force next time."

Ren drew nearer, his gaze sharp. "Spit it out. Were you acting alone? Or was there someone else manipulating things from the shadows? Confess, and perhaps we'll let you go if you betray the others."
