Ron meets Oscar Adelaide and Rachel Amagil, two talented individuals preparing for separate expeditions. Oscar aims to enhance his "Flame of Deathly Stillness" by seeking life energy, while Rachel intends to study fungi with memory attributes. They then descend into a dangerous transmission channel constructed within the "body" of a fallen Great Wizard, revealing the gruesome process of its dissection and containment.

"Most ingeniously, we maintained the integrity of its brain to ensure it could clearly feel every cut’s pain."

During the descent, Oscar voluntarily posed an academic question to the old professor, attempting to ease the unnerving atmosphere:

"Professor Yutel, I would like to ask you about the issue of element stability.

My [Dead Silence Flame] occasionally shows signs of being out of control when operating at high intensity.

While it increases destructive power, it also poses significant risks to the user."

The old professor paused, a thoughtful light flashing in his silver eyes.

The surrounding vein-like patterns seemed to sense his spiritual wave, starting to emit a brighter fluorescent glow.

"This phenomenon is not uncommon. The instability of compound elements often stems from their inherent paradoxical attributes.

Your Dead Silence Flame merges the ’creation’ essence of fire and the ’destruction’ essence of the abyss, which fundamentally conflict with each other."

Oscar nodded, "Indeed, I have been trying to solve this issue by enhancing my own will control, but the effect is limited."

"Perhaps the root of the problem does not lie in the strength of control, but in the depth of understanding."

Ron offered his opinion from a professional standpoint, while his identity as a "Historian" reminded him of related cases:

"In the mid-Third Era, there was a similar case that appeared.

At the time, there was a wizard known as the ’Heart Burner,’ who created a ’Holy Flame’ also merging paradoxical elemental traits."

As Ron began to recount historical cases, the surrounding environment subtly changed.

Blurred phantoms began to appear on the walls of the passageway.

These were memory fragments of the residual consciousness of the King of Geometry, triggered by Ron’s historical narrative:

"The ’Heart Burner’ initially tried to tame the Holy Flame through enhanced control, but the result was counterproductive.

Later, under the suggestion of the King of Absurdity, he gradually changed his strategy—not suppressing the paradox, but providing a ’space for expression’ for the paradox.

He designed a special ’conflict zone’ within the magic structure to allow different elemental traits to ’dialogue’ and ’negotiate’ there."

Oscar’s eyes lit up: "The King of Absurdity’s idea is to let the paradox find its own balance point?"

"Precisely." Ron nodded:

"The ’Heart Burner’ discovered that when he stopped enforcing unified control and shifted to guided coordination management, the Holy Flame not only became stable, but its power also increased severalfold.

Because paradox itself is a form of energy, suppressing it is merely a waste, while guiding it can be converted into greater power."

This perspective plunged Oscar into deep thought, while also causing the surrounding vein-like patterns to resonate.

Rachel quietly listened to this academic discussion on the side, but her attention was more focused on the bizarre changes in the environment around her:

"Professor, are these phantoms... the King of Geometry’s memories?"

"Partially." Yutel admitted:

"Even if its consciousness falls, it will not completely vanish. Memory, emotions, and even certain thought fragments will continue to exist long after death.

This is also why the base station can possess such intelligent automatic regulating functions—it still has a certain level of consciousness."

This explanation sent chills down the backs of the three.

......

The shape of the base station is not fixed; it slowly deforms with internal demand changes, much like a giant amoeba.

Sometimes it’s spire-shaped, other times spherical, and sometimes it unfolds into a starry structure.

Dozens of tamed abyssal giant beasts slowly swam outside the energy shield.

But upon closer inspection, one would find these "giant beasts" are actually extension organs of the base station’s main body.

They are connected to the main body with structures similar to umbilical cords, transmitting nutrients and information through these connections.

"This is the power of wizards conquering nature."

Yutel’s voice contained both pride and a deep sense of awe:

"Any sufficiently powerful force can be tamed by wisdom and turned into a tool of civilization’s advancement.

The King of Geometry was our mortal enemy during his life, but in death became our most reliable fortress."

They were greeted by a uniformed middle-aged man.

"Welcome to the sixth-layer space station."

His voice had a mechanical synthesis quality:

"I am the administrator here.

Please proceed to the detection area for the standard procedure check."

"Please enter the scanning area one by one and remain still for fifteen seconds."

The scanning process was far more thorough and invasive than imagined.

When Ron stood in the scanning area, he could feel countless tentacle-like energy flows coursing through his body.

"Detection complete."

The administrator viewed the data flowing on the screen like a stream:

"Lecturer Ron Ralph;

Moonlight Level Mage, magic power compression ratio 200%, no abnormal contamination, no potential curse.

Abyss adaptability variation present but within safe range.

Meets cross-border transmission standards."

Next was the phase of signing the "Explorer Contract."

The administrator took out a contract document from inside his body.

The text grew on the leather surface like a birthmark, making subtle changes along with the reader’s gaze.

"This is the Explorer Contract, made from memory cortex."

The administrator explained in detail while the contract document lightly wriggled in his hands:

"Upon signing, your commitments will be directly recorded in the core consciousness of the base station, and any breach of contract will be immediately detected."

The contract terms were extremely detailed, covering almost every situation that might occur during exploration.
