Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2805: 573: The 25th Seat of the Supreme Council, God Descends!

Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
The Despair Sovereign, also known as the Snake of the End, has formally requested to defect from the Nightmare World and join the Nora Council. While some barbarian lords and wizards remain skeptical of a potential double agent, the Supreme Council has agreed to a high-stakes interview to gauge the entity's sincerity. To prove its intentions, the Sovereign agreed to descend into the Nora Continent in its true form, risking its life to meet the council face-to-face. This clandestine meeting is now underway at the Metal School’s Roger Mountain, where Levi joins the realm's most powerful level-10 figures to determine if this Nightmare Monarch will become a vital ally or a catastrophic threat.

The conversation continued among the group. Even though the Snake of the End was a formidable Level 10 Strongman, he displayed bouts of anxiety and hesitation just like anyone else—with the sole exception of Levi.

Eventually, the legendary wizards and the barbarian warriors traded glances. It was clear they had established a foundational level of confidence in the Snake of the End.

Reaching out his hand, Edmund said, "Welcome, Despair Sovereign."

The Snake of the End let out a long breath and replied, "From now on, just call me Mr. End. As of today, I am no longer the Despair Sovereign."

...

A year passed by.

Nora Calendar, Year 1596.

The Nightmare World.

The Despair Domain.

Beneath a sky of swirling crimson and black, the Snake of the End looked down upon his lands and the boundless Blood Flesh Forest, his gaze filled with determination.

Rumble!

As he formally renounced his title as a Nightmare Monarch, the Flesh and Blood Mountains began to hum and vibrate. The true name of Yermund started to fade from existence.

This massive territory would soon transform into a desolate wasteland. Every piece of the empire he had spent ages constructing within the Nightmare World was about to vanish.

"Yo, Yermund, where do you think you're going?"

High in the air, a woman's silhouette materialized out of thin air. She stood with her arms crossed, wearing a grin so malevolent it could freeze one's blood.

"Where I’m going? Do I need to report to you?"

The massive serpent looked up, his voice remaining level.

Internally, however, a wave of dread washed over him. He realized the inevitable moment had arrived. The Supreme Will had instinctively detected his treason and dispatched these local monarchs to deal with him... Truly, there are no free gifts in this world.

"Are you trying to dodge the draft and go into hiding?"

The Devouring Sky Demon Lord gave a lazy stretch, releasing the suffocating aura of a Level 10 Late Stage powerhouse. Her small, delicate mouth parted slightly as a long, crimson tongue licked her lips, leaving a trail of saliva behind.

"What if I do?"

"You really are an ungrateful dog."

The Swallowing Sky Demon Lord opened her slender palms, revealing a vortex resembling a black hole. From within the void, a mouth filled with rows of sharp teeth, like that of a lamprey, emerged.

The Power of Gluttony surged through the sky, shattering the space within a hundred thousand miles as if it were fragile tofu. Everything was sucked into the abyss, and only the giant snake's massive frame managed to hold its ground.

The Snake of the End began to spin violently, breaking free from the terrifying suction. He turned into a streak of dark light and bolted toward the horizon.

"This is the Nightmare World, where do you think you’re running?"

Two shimmering, mirage-like stone walls suddenly appeared ahead, stretching out forever to form a bizarre alleyway leading to nowhere. A thin, pale youth stood leaning against the entrance of the alley with his hands buried in his pockets.

"Ghost Alley Dominator, are you going to stop me too?"

The Snake of the End skidded to a halt, his voice cold.

The figure blocking his path was a Level 10 Early Stage monarch, yet he was an ancient being with a Foundation far deeper than the snake's own.

"You shouldn’t have betrayed us."

The young man spoke in a soft, enigmatic tone.

"Yermund, stay. You’ve already offended the one from the astral world. If you offend us too, is there any place left in the world for you?"

A sound of decomposition echoed as the stench of rot suddenly permeated the air. Greenish-brown, foul fluids began to leak from the cracks in the crimson and black sky. Countless bloated corpses tumbled down, rising to their feet by the billions.

Upon the gory earth, yellow pustules as large as mountains swelled up. These sickening sores burst with a loud bang, spraying a yellowish-white discharge that rose into the heavens.

The Rotten Sovereign made his entrance, radiating the aura of a Level 10 Middle Stage expert.

These former allies had been covertly dealt with by Levi. While losing a Level 9 Dominator meant little to them, the loss of prestige was everything. Thus, it hadn't been difficult for the Devouring Sky Demon Lord to convince them to join the campaign against Nora.

The shadowy walls expanded rapidly, sealing off all exits.

A tide of decay rushed forward.

Hundreds of tentacles erupted from the Devouring Sky Demon Lord’s body, each tipped with a blood-red maw, lashing out at the giant serpent.

In the depths of his desperation, a flurry of vibrant butterflies began to dance, spinning until they formed a gateway of light above the snake's head.

The Snake of the End was filled with joy at the arrival of reinforcements from Nora, and he immediately lunged toward the portal.

"Where do you think you’re going?!"

The Devouring Sky Demon Lord’s tentacles coiled around his body, cinching tight. With a massive burst of strength, she yanked the giant snake backward, dragging him out of the light.

"Let go!"

The Snake of the End thrashed and snapped his jaws at the Devouring Sky Demon Lord, but she only laughed maniacally. She ignored his attacks as the suction from her tentacles intensified.

At that desperate juncture, a withered hand reached out from the other side of the glowing gate. It seized the snake’s head and began to pull. Simultaneously, the phantoms of six Mythical-level giant beasts roared into existence, shredding the tentacles that bound the serpent.

"Heavenly Will? Since you’re here, why not stay!"

The Devouring Sky Demon Lord’s head swelled until it reached the size of a star. In all her long life, she had never seen anyone bold enough to try and kidnap someone from the Nightmare World.

Suddenly, a figure draped in crimson robes appeared beyond the gate of light. A Great Sun burned within his palm. The sight caused the star-sized head to stop dead in its tracks; it deflated like a punctured balloon and retreated a great distance before it could recover.

"Edmund?"

The Devouring Sky Demon Lord shifted back into her human form. Her eye twitched and her chest heaved with heavy breaths.

That was a narrow escape; she had nearly been obliterated by a Sun.

They had predicted that the Despair Sovereign, being an outsider, might try to flee the war, but they never imagined the snake would actually defect to Nora.

Was he blind? Or had he lost his mind? To abandon the status of a Nightmare Monarch just to side with those who had no future.
