Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2806: 573: Supreme Council 25th Seat, God Descends!
Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
The remaining two Nightmare Monarchs retreated in silence, maintaining a cautious distance from the figure clad in red robes. Without uttering a single word, Edmund vanished through the shimmering gateway of light.
"It seems Yermund is truly at his wit's end, clutching at any straw he can find."
"He rushes toward his demise in Nora... does he honestly believe that because Nora survived three wars against the Abyss, it possesses the standing to rival us?"
The Devouring Sky Demon Lord declared, "Let him go; the Nightmare World has no shortage of his kind. We shall proceed with our designs, summoning further Nightmare Monarchs to teach Nora a bitter lesson! We will make Yermund regret his choices through our vengeance!"
The monarchs departed swiftly thereafter.
Just before the door of light dissolved into nothingness, an arm encased in black armor reached through. It snatched a snake scale that had been torn loose during the struggle and retracted just as quickly.
...
Upon the Sorren Continent.
The Snake of the End felt a lingering unease, but as it looked up at the blue sky and drifting white clouds—so unlike the oppressive atmosphere of the Nightmare World—it began to settle down. It panted heavily, its bifurcated tongue flickering rapidly, momentarily losing the dignified air of a Level 10 powerhouse.
"My thanks to you all, truly."
Edmund replied with a faint smile:
"It was only right, and we thank you for placing your confidence in us."
"I never imagined Lord Emmon’s mere presence would be enough to intimidate the reckless Devouring Sky Demon Lord into fleeing. Truly remarkable," the massive serpent praised.
Heavenly Will stood with hands clasped behind his back, sighing inwardly: 'I am growing old. If I hadn't struck myself with that blade, the Devouring Sky Demon Lord wouldn't have been able to withstand even one of my strikes.'
Suddenly, a surge of warmth permeated the Snake of the End’s body. Its form, battered by the Devouring Sky Demon Lord, began a slow process of mending, though the patch where its scale had been ripped away proved resistant to the healing. That was no simple Snake Scale; it contained a fragment of origin power.
The Dusk Palace Master was the one facilitating the recovery, his palms radiating a soft green light. His complexion was somewhat pale, showing that the effort was taxing his strength.
"There, that should suffice. Healing an original scale is a difficult feat at my current realm, but how do you feel?" Levi asked, exhaling softly.
His exhaustion was genuine; mending a Level 10 injury was a far cry from treating a Level 9 one, and his internal Power of the Green Emperor Dragon had been nearly drained.
"I am grateful, Sir Levi. You have spared me a great deal of time in my recovery."
The Snake of the End felt a touch of warmth in its heart; the Dusk Palace Master, who seemed so rugged, was surprisingly mindful. A moment later, Levi opened his hand to show a dark scale marked with concentric growth rings.
"This scale belongs to you; I noticed you were too preoccupied with your flight to reclaim it," Levi noted.
The Snake of the End glanced toward the side, observing the Legendary Wizards as they conversed or began to leave. Edmund seemed to be waiting, as if he had matters to discuss with the serpent.
The snake let out a booming laugh: "Hahaha, it matters not. It is but a single origin scale; consider it a gift to you. Without your mediation, today’s alliance would never have happened."
Such magnanimity and foresight!
Levi did not engage in false modesty and offered his sincere thanks: "In that case, I shall accept it. Thank you."
Once the pleasantries concluded, Edmund escorted the Snake of the End toward the Supreme Council. The next order of business would undoubtedly involve the establishment of the 25th seat.
Satisfied, Levi made his way back to the Ancient Dragon Continent.
"Hehehe, a Level 10 Mythical grade original snake scale... what a find."
Even though he was still a long way from reaching Level 10 himself, he had to gather the necessary components for the eventual advancement of his divine weapon and wizard tower. This specific scale would be the perfect material for reforging his Nightmare Helmet.
...
A year passed by.
The Supreme Council issued a proclamation regarding three major developments to the entire realm:
First, the Mythical-level being known as the "Lord of the End" had officially joined the Supreme Council as its 25th member, assuming a vital military role within Nora.
Second, the "Nightmare Command Center" was being established on a temporary basis. Edmund was named Minister, while Daydreamer, the Lord of the End, and the Blue Dream Star Lord were appointed as Deputy Ministers. The Dusk Palace Master was designated as an advisor.
Third, all citizens were urged to continue their combat preparations. Regardless of the identity of the next foe, Nora would resist until the very end.
The revelation of these three points sent ripples of shock through the populace.
The first point was easy enough to swallow; if a sentient tree could sit on the council, a serpent surely could as well.
However, the creation of the "Nightmare Command Center" carried a heavy omen... it implied that the Nightmare World was preparing to invade Nora. Having only just fended off the demons, they were now facing the Nightmare Creatures with no time to breathe.
Furthermore, would the demons take this chance to ally with the Nightmare World? Would the nearly extinguished Council of Ten Thousand Clans attempt a resurgence?
Anxiety took root, and rumors spread like wildfire.
The members of the Ancient Dragon Continent were equally troubled. Many of them worked within the Nightmare World and could feel the shifting tides. Sensing the tension, Levi called for a meeting of the senior leadership.
Elena, Triss, the 18 Twilight Cavalry, Garcia, and the Saint Emperor Zhou—all the elites gathered within the Emperor’s Palace.
"Hall Master, is a war with the Nightmare World truly imminent?"
"What should be done about the Black Dragon Territory? Do we need to pull out?"
Every person there had traveled to the Nightmare World and knew firsthand the terrifying depth of that Giant World. Their concern was well-founded.
Levi addressed them:
"First, while the Nightmare World may be mobilizing against us, the full details remain vague. Regardless, we must be ready for conflict. Second, operations in the Black Dragon Territory will continue as usual, but stay alert. Daydreamer and I will keep a close watch over the area. Should the situation change, I will order a full logout. Safety remains our priority."
...
At the same time.
On the Yellow Earth Continent.
At the former site of Mirror Lake Land.
Daydreamer arrived at the ruins of the Dreamland Steeple accompanied by two Grand Wizards. He deactivated the array barrier that had sealed off the area and entered a region where space itself was warped. Within, currents of crimson and obsidian light flowed like water.
