Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2786: 570: Ancient Secrets, Mythical Origins, Insect Race Mysteries!

Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
Levi uncovers the hidden history of the astral world, learning that the current gods are "parasites" born from a primordial entity known as the Star-devouring Worm. These usurpers displaced the original Star Gods, ancient beings of immense power who did not require the coercion of belief to exist. Armed with the knowledge of why his Rune Language cultivation hit a plateau, Levi identifies the origins of Nora’s orthodox gods and the dark fate of the extinct star beasts. This revelation shifts his understanding of the cosmic hierarchy as he prepares to navigate a universe ruled by conquerors.

Levi nodded in silence, prompting his companion to keep talking. This reaction confirmed Heavenly Will’s suspicion that Levi was likely a contingency plan left behind by Sauron. Otherwise, a person of his level wouldn't possess knowledge of such primordial mysteries, secrets that remained hidden even from most Legendary Wizards.

He continued his explanation:

"Among the various Dragon Clans, the Star Dragon King and the Blood Dark Dragon King are two that transcend the status of mere mythical beings; this is why they are titled Dragon Kings. However, being part of the Dragon Clan is only one facet of their identity. They possess another nature, one that the world remains ignorant of."

Realization dawned on Levi as he spoke:

"Star Beast!"

The middle-aged man grinned and replied:

"Indeed, that is a fair way to put it... Following the Star Worm invasion of the astral world, countless Star Saints plummeted from the Sky Dome. As they fell, they dimmed, stripped of their Ancient God Power and exiled from their astral home, yet they did not perish entirely.

A significant portion of them morphed into fresh biological forms. These are what we now label as ’Mythical Creatures’. Be it the Dragon Clan, the Frost Giant, or the World Tree itself, nearly every formidable life form born in this manner is an evolution of a Star God. To put it simply, the astral world was their original birthplace.

The Star Dragon King and Blood Dark Dragon King stood as the mightiest among them. Their vitality and power far surpassed that of other Mythical Creatures. In fact, the Star Dragon King once reigned as the sovereign of all Star Beasts. Following its Divine Enthronement, it bifurcated into the Dragon King and the Star Beast, occupying the final two seats of the Seven Orthodox Gods.

The Star Beast, having transitioned into the ’Lord of the Stars’, is also referred to as the ’Star Herder’ or the ’Shepherd of the Astral World’. I imagine that is the origin of those titles. Seeking an eternal lifespan, the Star Dragon King turned traitor against the star beasts and the Blood Dark Dragon King to pursue Godhood. The astral world sought to restrain rather than war with it, yet remained wary of its strength. Consequently, the Star Dragon King was forced to divide its essence, severing itself once.

As for the other Mythical Creatures, once they lost their Star God status and the astral world’s protection, they regressed from immortal entities into what you wizards define as ’longevity species’, possessing lifespans of only tens of thousands of years. It is quite ironic... they might wonder if living a few tens of thousands of years can truly be called a long life?"

Levi felt a wave of helplessness in his heart. To ordinary, humble mortals—the short-lived humans—a span of tens of thousands of years seemed like an eternity!

The middle-aged man clearly perceived Levi’s reaction. While the barbarian tribes were slightly more robust than humans, he wasn't looking down on them; rather, he was being self-deprecating, as the lifespans of barbarians and humans were roughly comparable.

They were two races sharing the same misfortune.

His eyes reflected memories of the eras following the Star Dragon King’s wars. He began to reveal the many layers of hidden lore he had unearthed and kept buried, sharing them with the man he suspected to be Sauron’s successor.

Even though Sauron had slighted him in the past—borrowing items and failing to return them—it now seemed that every action had been part of a grander scheme.

The Dark Ancient Tower and the rescue of Nora were Sauron’s methods of compensation. At this moment, Heavenly Will viewed Sauron as the only individual who truly understood him.

"You must realize that even before the ancient era, the Multidimensional Plane was the domain of the Mythical Era. Back then, the number of Mythical Creatures roaming the Universe was vastly greater than it is today. They were once the very stars in the heavens, with the blood of Ancient Gods coursing through their veins.

However, their lives were too fleeting, and many were hunted by the Heavenly Father to be used as steeds or slaves. To preserve their existence and ensure their strength survived through the ages, they developed a concept known as ’Bloodline’—a power beyond simple description.

But I suspect you already have some understanding of this, given that the path of knights is fundamentally the Bloodline Path, is it not, Sir Levi?"

Levi gave a slight nod in response.

This Heavenly Will behaved like an All-Knowing deity who grasped the truth of all things, completely shattering Levi’s preconceived notions about the barbarian tribes.

The middle-aged man stood tall with his hands clasped behind him, radiating an aura of absolute confidence. He remarked: "When it comes to the bloodline, I likely know as much as you do... considering I am the one who coined the term."

What on earth?

That was Levi’s immediate reaction. While the previous revelations were manageable, this claim genuinely stunned him; was the man standing before him the progenitor of all knights?

He was aware that Sauron hadn't invented the knight’s path, as Sauron’s own clues indicated that the Bloodline Path was even more ancient than the way of the wizard. However, Sauron had never identified the creator of the bloodline system.

To his surprise, it was this individual.

Heavenly Will noticed Levi’s shock and, sensing a potential misunderstanding, clarified:

"While I developed the concept of the bloodline and successfully integrated it into some humans, I did not continue that work for various reasons. The human responsible for creating the majority of your knight bloodlines and breathing techniques is someone else. You will discover their identity in time; essentially, I am only half the creator of the knights."

He proceeded to recount the story of how he found the bloodline and the Evolution Stone Plate to Levi once more. Following this explanation, Levi’s opinion of Heavenly Will grew significantly more positive. He admired the man’s dedication to research and was surprised by his humility—the man didn't even care if Levi took credit as the Ancestor of Knights."

He noted:

"By utilizing the bloodline, certain Mythical Creatures managed to persist through the generations. Their physical forms might perish, but their strength, their marks, and their presence in the Multidimensional Plane endure. Some choose to divide and dilute themselves, branching out repeatedly to ensure the astral world cannot completely wipe their lineage from existence."
