Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1613 - 557: King of Tyrannosaurs (Part 3)

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
The party, accompanied by the Giant Dragons Dorick and Metheus, stepped onto the metal surface of the Floating City Ruins, where Dorick casually crushed and devoured a Mechanical Land Bird, easing tensions among the group. Sudden tremors revealed the emergence of the formidable King of Tyrannosaurs, a massive mechanical beast from the ancient goblin army, its red eyes scanning for threats as it tore through the ground. Recalling their prior retreat from its unyielding defenses, Rein directed Dorick to engage it, absorbing a Death Ray with his aura before clashing in a fierce struggle, while Metheus restrained and severed the beast's deadly tail gear, tilting the battle in their favor.

Earlier, they had questioned Rein's capabilities, and moreover, the joint exploration group consisted of a complete seven individuals, whereas the Empire only had Rein on their side.

Yet at present, Rein's group was handling the bulk of the fight...

This... it'll probably be tough to justify to the Federation Congress later.

They were well aware, after all, that the rewards from the joint expedition would be divided according to each party's input.

"Everyone, let Metheus and Dorick handle the King of Tyrannosaurs; our true foe remains lurking." Rein gestured toward the massive, sturdy metal cranium of the King of Tyrannosaurs.

All eyes swiftly turned to follow Rein's indicated path.

"Rein, Your Majesty, is the goblin under the Fiend Demon's control located inside the King of Tyrannosaurs' head?" Sword Saint Terrio inquired, his expression solemn.

"Indeed, when the moment comes, we'll require a few of you to combine your Fire Witchcraft. Based on my previous encounter, Fire Witchcraft inflicts far greater harm on the Fiend Demon compared to other forms of witchcraft."

"Rest assured, Rein, Your Majesty; the instant they emerge, we'll deliver a devastating strike," Otto assured, thumping his chest confidently.

Prior to Rein revealing his prowess, some might have harbored doubts—perhaps challenging the accuracy of Rein's words, wondering why they ought to adhere to his plans, or even fearing he proposed this to claim more glory for himself, and so on.

But right now, not a single one entertained those notions.

"Crack!"

Aided by Black Dragon Metheus, Dorick grasped the perfect moment and clamped down on the King of Tyrannosaurs' throat; the Steel Dragon's teeth and drool possess an innate ability to corrode metallic substances. Remember, Steel Dragons subsist on metals.

Meanwhile, Metheus unleashed a Shadow Breath upon the King of Tyrannosaurs' right rear leg joint.

Through the combined assault of these two mighty Epic Peak Dragons, the King of Tyrannosaurs was brutally knocked flat onto the earth.

Naturally, this success stemmed partly from the fact that its operator wasn't a genuine Goblin Manipulator but a beast corrupted by the Fiend Demon. In truth, the King of Tyrannosaurs—renowned for rivaling a Demigod—hadn't unleashed its full might.

"Whoosh!"

With the King of Tyrannosaurs slamming down, a dark silhouette enveloped in ominous black mist burst forth from the command chamber, aiming straight for Haleem, the frailest in their midst.

Thanks to Rein's prior alert and directives, Sword Saint Terrio's form darted forward in a blur, slashing at the shadow with blinding swiftness!

"Clang!!!"

Sparks erupted from the collision, halting the assailant's advance instantly and forcing it to withdraw to its starting position.

Shockingly, though, this goblin remains—meant only to pilot the King of Tyrannosaurs—displayed astonishingly fierce fighting ability; Sword Saint Terrio was compelled to retreat multiple paces to absorb the recoil.

Still, Terrio's blade strike had granted the group a clear view of the enemy's full form.

This foe bore no resemblance to the puny, withered goblin corpses Rein had observed previously.

Even amid the swirling black mist, the enemy's build appeared immensely sturdy, its outer hide strangely etched with numerous dark fissures. Thick streams of black vapor leaked out and flowed back in, apparently creating a peculiar loop.

Evidently due to this process, the enemy's hide lacked any dryness and instead possessed an odd, plump vitality.

Moreover, the black mist's thickness surpassed that surrounding the Ancient Minotaur Rein had faced in the dungeon.

Rein sensed that this wasn't an ordinary goblin pilot but a elite warrior from goblin ranks.

What's more, the enemy's most striking trait was the pair of neatly tied brown beard strands dangling from its jaw.

"That looks like the notorious General Angerik from the Ancient Goblins." Haleem, apparently spotting a clue, burst out suddenly.

"Hmm?"

"Rein, Your Majesty, during expeditions to other goblin ruins, I uncovered some ancient goblin journals. They detailed key personalities from the Ancient Goblin Empire, and 'Twin-braid Beard' Angerik stood out as particularly renowned." Haleem explained rapidly.

As Haleem conversed with Rein, a guttural, raspy tone emanated abruptly from General Angerik's lips:

"Foolish... intruders.... prepare to face your doom....."

Right then, the enemy's shape blurred again, lunging once more at Rein and his companions.

But on this occasion, it was met by twin blazing fire whirlwinds, towering dozens of meters, materializing from nowhere to assail it from either flank.

The ones who summoned them were the ready duo, brothers Ogre and Otto.
