Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1612 - 557: King of Tyrannosaurs (Part 2)

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
The Twin Flame Spirits, Ogre and Otto, arrived on fire hawks as Sword Saint Terrio introduced them to Rein, whose prowess had shifted the Federation champions' attitudes from skepticism to deference. Heading to the cavern camp, Rein inquired about recent explorations and learned the team was stalled on the second basement level by the massive Mechanical Tyrannosaurus King, which had unexpectedly moved upward from deeper ruins amid increasing disturbances. Convinced these signs pointed to the Fiend Demon's manipulations urging an escape, Rein pressed for immediate action, overriding suggestions to rest, and Terrio agreed to proceed without delay.

"Haleem, assemble the research and logistics squads to trail after us."

...

In no time, the group, accompanied by a pair of Giant Dragons, stepped onto the terrain of the Floating City Ruins.

"Wow, this spot is amazing...(Dragon Language)" The Steel Dragon Dorick burst out in excitement, his dragon gaze sparkling as he touched down on the metallic floor of the Floating City.

All of a sudden, he extended his claw and snatched a Mechanical Land Bird from the hazy fog nearby. Towering over three meters, the Mechanical Land Bird looked like a tiny fledgling in Dorick's grasp.

"Crunch, crunch!"

With one swift claw strike, Dorick smashed it and popped it into his jaws, munching away as if it were crunchy treats.

"Tastes delicious.(Dragon Language)"

Witnessing this, the onlookers froze for a moment. Then, oddly enough, all but Rein cracked faint grins, a wave of ease washing over them.

"Rein Crown's dragon companion packs quite the punch, hahaha." Otto commended.

"Boom!!!"

Right then, a heavy pounding rumble echoed from under the ground.

The noise rang out like a mighty gong, even making the incredibly sturdy metal deck of the Floating City tremble faintly, akin to a gentle quake.

"Master, something massive lurks below," The Black Dragon Metheus warned solemnly.

"Boom!!!"

Another thump reverberated, shaking the earth anew.

This round, the group spotted that directly in front, where a structure once stood, the metal plating was swelling upward dramatically.

This prompted Rein to arch a brow.

It looked like the foe was targeting a vulnerable area, and evidently, they'd hit upon it.

"Creak... bang"

The screech of metal twisting and snapping under tremendous force filled the air, as a enormous mechanical dinosaur skull, rivaling a locomotive's size, burst through the surface, its crimson laser-like eyes sweeping the surroundings.

At the same time, its forelimbs began ripping apart the metal layer, as if eager to haul its full form up from the depths...

"It's the King of Tyrannosaurs!"

"That's the one!"

"Get ready to fight!"

Tension gripped the faces of everyone present.

They'd clashed with it before, and despite seven Epic-tier fighters, victory had eluded them. Naturally, that was partly due to holding back their utmost strength.

For caution's sake, following the first clash, the seven had pulled back right away on Terrio's advice.

Yet from that short tussle, they'd gauged the King of Tyrannosaurs' prowess; strikes from Fourth Level Fire Witchcraft merely scorched it lightly, inflicting no substantial harm.

"It's definitely the King of Tyrannosaurs."

Matching it against the mental diagram he recalled, Rein verified that Haleem's assessment rang true; the adversary was precisely the elite fighting machine of the ancient goblin forces—the Mechanical King of Tyrannosaurs.

Having once pondered building a King of Tyrannosaurs himself, Rein was well-versed in its unique assault methods.

Nevertheless, Rein's focus right now zeroed in on the command chamber nestled in the midst of its cranium.

A goblin remains ought to reside there, twisted by Fiend Demon corruption.

Simply toppling the King of Tyrannosaurs won't suffice—it's merely the opening move. True eradication demands wrecking the tainted goblin operator.

"I detect Mithril, adamantium, and Glowstone... Master... let me handle it!" Upon spotting this, the Steel Dragon Dorick displayed no dread—rather, exhilaration lit up his features.

"Fine, but watch out for its Death Ray," Rein cautioned.

He was keen to test the foe's offensive might firsthand, and Dorick's rugged hide made him the ideal candidate.

"No concerns here."

No sooner had he uttered those words than Dorick lunged at the King of Tyrannosaurs, which loomed even larger than he did.

Noticing the Steel Dragon's advance, the King of Tyrannosaurs' optics glowed scarlet, poised to unleash a Death Ray. Forewarned by Rein, Dorick suddenly cloaked himself in a thick dark golden energy.

"Zzz!"

The Death Ray struck Dorick's armored spine, yet the bulk of its force got soaked up by the dark golden shield, leaving just a couple of charred marks on his hide.

"Boom!"

Before it could loose another Death Ray, the colossal creatures smashed together violently, the piercing clamor of metal grinding echoing everywhere.

"Metheus, pin down the mechanism on its tail." A thought striking him, Rein directed the Black Dragon Metheus.

"Your wish is my command."

With 'Mad Wings' Metheus joining in, the trio of behemoths instantly erupted into a savage melee atop the surface.

The Steel Dragon Dorick grappled with the over hundred-meter-tall King of Tyrannosaurs, igniting showers of sparks amid thunderous metallic groans!

Each boasted hides of ironclad toughness. Dorick's metallic scales offered defense on par with Dawn Witchcraft, and the King of Tyrannosaurs went without saying; its frame consisted of exotic alloys vastly surpassing ordinary steel in hardness.

At first, the Mechanical King of Tyrannosaurs' tail tip featured a Diamond Cutting Gear, yet now it was locked tight in Black Dragon Metheus' grip, barred from executing a fatal slice.

Metheus' single Shadow Breath, while not liquefying the Diamond Cutting Gear, ate away at the tail joint until it severed clean.

The King of Tyrannosaurs thus lost one of its key weapons in an instant.

Failing that, a hit from the cutting gear on the Steel Dragon could have inflicted grievous wounds on Dorick.

"Rein Crown, we..."

As they observed Rein's two Giant Dragons dominating the fray, Otto, Ogre, and the rest of the spectators felt a touch of shame.
