Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1580 - 545: Whose Hunt Is It?

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
Hundreds of meters of flame scorched the Devouring Snake, inflicting real pain for the first time, prompting it to coil around the mountain-sized Red Dragon King in a fierce melee. The God of Hunting, Luen, drew his giant bow to target the dragon, but Menia moved to intervene, only for Rein to step in and transform into a dark silver dragon, unleashing fiery breath and clawing through Luen's divine shield to disrupt the shot. The arrow veered off, cratering a distant mansion, as the Nether Sea Goddess Hela recognized the newcomer. Rein then shadow-shifted Luen kilometers away into the sky, isolating the god for a private confrontation, where Luen drew his axes with unyielding confidence.

Before the echo of those words could fade away, Rein's dark silver dragon form started shifting once more in an unexpected way. At the bottom of its neck, two huge lumps ballooned out fast, and two Red Dragon’s Heads burst open like blooming flowers, appearing in a flash.

A short while back, he had quietly regained a portion of his energy again.

In the Extremely Old Dragon Form, repeatedly deploying 'Shadow Shifting' drained a huge amount of spiritual power, and the second use, while carrying the God of Hunting, Luen, through the shift, caused the consumption to spike dramatically.

"Multi-Headed Dragon Bloodline?"

A flicker of astonishment appeared in Luen’s gaze as he witnessed Rein’s abrupt change.

"Quite the unexpected twist, I must say. But alas, you're facing a genuine god. The Multi-Headed Dragon Bloodline alone won't suffice by a long shot."

"Sky Splitting!" With his double axes in hand, Luen’s arms quivered faintly all of a sudden.

This quiver was so subtle that only a careful observer would catch it.

Yet in the very next moment.

Two streaks of blood abruptly surfaced on the dark silver frame of Rein’s dragon body.

Sensing a fierce sting, Rein glanced downward and saw his iron-tough Dragon Scale cracking apart in huge chunks, with blood flowing out and severe cuts carving into his chest without warning.

"Notice the disparity?" Luen acted as though it were a minor feat, grinned, and remarked.

"This is the chasm separating mortals from deities—even when power levels appear equal, the divide remains staggeringly immense."

"Still, given your Multi-Headed Dragon Bloodline, maybe I'll grant you a chance—kneel at my feet, serve as my minion, and I'll overlook your offense."

Rein felt no shock at Luen’s striking might.

He had clashed with the Nether Sea Goddess Hela a total of three times; when matched in strength, without tapping into superior force, he always found himself overpowered by the foe.

This stemmed from the Divine entities’ almost perfect spells and fighting prowess.

The vast span of ages bestowed upon the Divine battle wisdom far beyond mortals, dozens or even hundreds of times greater.

Thus, for this foe, as a Divine, to wield such strength was entirely expected.

"So this is your strength?"

"It feels notably feebler than I'd pictured."

As he taunted the enemy with words, Rein swiftly mended the injuries across his form.

"Insolent fool!"

Luen’s face twisted in fury as he whirled the pair of battle axes with speed.

"Blade Dance"

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!"

A see-through energy strike resembling a Wind Blade struck Rein right away.

Rein’s dark silver dragon form burst open with a swarm of thick blood lines, nearly turning it into a Blood Dragon.

That said, Rein had no intention of just taking hits; he lifted his Dragon Claw, summoning a humming dark silver metal disc from nowhere.

The instant after, it hurtled with rage straight at Luen’s midsection!

"Pathetic ploy!"

Luen let out a light scoff, then slashed an axe at the incoming disc.

"Whoosh!"

"Crack!"

A dense, clear Energy smashed into the 'Blade-toothed Disc,' causing it to shatter on impact!

The clashing forces more or less canceled one another out.

For the first time, Rein met a rival who could dismantle his Dawn Killing Move with such ease.

"Useless, huh?"

"Looks like I'll need to unleash that technique!" Rein pondered inwardly.

The main Dragon Head parted its jaws broadly and spat a cone-shaped blaze toward Luen.

In turn, a dark shield layer emerged rapidly over Luen’s skin while he swung the battle axe once more at Rein.

To Luen’s surprise, the other two Red Dragon’s Heads released flames at the same time!

Right then, flames from all three Dragon Heads poured forth in cones, fusing together in the sky to create a fiercely churning orb that glowed with piercing white brilliance.

This was none other than the Red Dragon Secret Technique Rein had gleaned from Red Queen Menia’s recollections—"Molten Core Flame."

A devastating strike normally needing three Red Dragons at the Extremely Old Dragon Level to perform together, yet Rein pulled it off by himself.

"What?!" Luen’s eyes bulged wide, clearly taken aback.

Facing such a colossal buildup of Fire Element Energy in orb form, axe strikes would merely trigger an instant burst. So the battle-hardened Luen chose to sidestep instead.

But as he moved to avoid it, he realized his right ankle was snared by Rein’s powerful Dragon Tail.

"Curses!"

This delay robbed him of the chance to escape. Luen had no choice but to fortify his defenses and endure the full force of the 'Molten Core Flame' detonation.

"Boom!!!"

A blast wave like a tiny atomic burst radiated outward from the lofty skies in every direction.

Enormous white clouds ripped asunder and dissolved like torn scraps of fabric.

From a distance, the vivid white glare, akin to a miniature stellar detonation, flared and vanished in the heavens!

That momentary brilliance outshone the sun by far.

This force even drew the eyes of those fighting high above the Imperial Palace.

"It's that technique!" The Nether Sea Goddess Hela spotted it immediately, knowing Rein had deployed the same move that once demolished her Avatar.

"That idiot Luen surely misjudged that mortal."

"Will that vile Blasphemer Rein slip away from doom yet again?"

Hela’s gaze wavered, as if debating whether to press onward or pivot back to dispatch the insolent human once more.
