Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1579 - 544: Descent of the Gods (Part 3)

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
The Imperial Palace fortifies with intricate witch arrays as divine incarnations launch a fierce assault on the colorful vortex shield. Nether Sea Goddess Hela unleashes a massive cascade of black water, the Devouring Snake bites deep into the barrier, and their combined strikes tear a gaping hole, forcing Elder Ivan to rally nearly twenty Imperial Guardians for interception. Luen, the God of Hunting, looses an Instant Teleportation Arrow that pierces Ivan's defenses and mortally wounds his red dragon, while the Guardians' retaliatory spells—giant rocks, poison clouds, and arcane blasts—are devoured and nullified by the Devouring Snake. Rein and Menia confront the escalating peril, and Menia activates a crystal to summon the Red Dragon King Straz, who bursts from the earth and unleashes a torrent of flames at the serpent.

Flames spanning hundreds of meters roared fiercely, almost engulfing the enormous serpent's frame, and it was the initial occasion when the Devouring Snake truly sensed injury and torment.

Yet its retaliation came with equal ferocity. In a swift, bolt-like twist of its head, it coiled tightly around the towering, mountain-like Red Dragon King, sending the two colossal beasts into a brutal close-quarters brawl.

"At last, it’s emerged."

In that instant, Luen, the God of Hunting, offered a subtle grin while hoisting the massive bow yet again, directing it toward the Red Dragon King.

"This is bad! Rein, I’m leaving that to you—I have to rush over and halt the God of Hunting, Luen." Menia’s face shifted in alarm right away.

For if the Red Dragon King suffered grave wounds, nothing could possibly contain the Devouring Snake.

Forget the other Divine Incarnations watching from afar; even with more than twenty Imperial Guardians uniting their strength, they wouldn’t be able to defend the front.

Rather, they’d get brushed away effortlessly like chopping through weeds, letting the foe smash straight through their midst!

"Hold on, I’ll take care of it." Rein moved ahead, halting Menia, and declared.

Rein understood clearly that even if Menia pushed to her limits, she might fail to hold back Luen, and a single error could lead to instant death.

He surely wouldn’t allow such an outcome to occur.

"Rein, you....."

Their gazes locked for a moment, and Menia caught a spark of assurance in Rein’s eyes. She gave a nod, choosing not to press her disagreement.

"Stay safe."

The words had barely escaped her lips.

The very next instant!

Rein vanished from sight, and moments later, a sleek dark silver dragon, stretching seventy to eighty meters long, materialized next to Luen, unleashing a scorching Fiery Breath that clouded Luen’s vision.

"Oh? Quite intriguing."

Luen kept drawing back the giant bow without dodging in the least, as a shadowy barrier abruptly formed over his form, resembling a Divine Power Shield, which effortlessly repelled Rein’s Extremely Old Dragon Level Fiery Breath.

"A truly impressive Talent Ability—against foes on your level, this could act as a decisive hidden weapon. Regrettably, you’re up against a deity."

"And what makes gods so special?"

In the blink of an eye, Rein’s razor-sharp Dragon Claws slammed deeply into the dark barrier.

The shadowy layer proved incredibly tough, bending into two wide, curved indents but apparently still withstanding Rein’s strike.

Yet, as Rein let out a mighty bellow and his muscles bulged powerfully, "Puchi!" His dual claws tore through the barrier, with one seizing Luen’s arm that drew the bowstring.

"Whew!"

Thanks to Rein’s disruption, the God of Hunting Luen’s arrow veered off from the Red Dragon King and plunged into a grand estate in the Inner Ring, promptly carving out a vast, unfathomable pit in the opulent structure spanning hundreds of square meters.

"It’s you!" By now, the Nether Sea Goddess Hela had obviously spotted the abrupt arrival of the dark silver dragon that thwarted Luen’s shot.

As former acquaintances, Hela instantly identified who this intruder was.

But the following moment, both Rein and the God of Hunting Luen abruptly disappeared from view in front of all onlookers.

Rein had employed Shadow Shifting to whisk Luen miles away, high into the skies.

Since Rein realized that clashing head-on against assaults from several Divine Incarnations was futile.

Separating Luen by himself offered the sole opportunity to overcome the foe.

"Offspring of dragons, the Subspace Teleportation skill drains you heavily—it places a tremendous strain on your body. I suspect your Physical Strength is running low."

"Planning to lure me into a trap area?"

"Too bad... I merely threw off your scheme a bit, leaving you frustrated."

Luen remarked with a smirk, pulling a pair of short axes from his belt, appearing utterly unbothered by Rein dragging him apart from the rest of the Divines.

"No! I simply wish to keep the upcoming events hidden from prying eyes."
