Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1490 - 512: Frostfire Flame

Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
The Nether Sea Goddess Hela has launched a devastating ambush, severely wounding the Red Dragon Tasa and forcing Rein to descend from his airship to intervene. While Menia reveals her true dragon form, Rein realizes that Hela’s new avatar is significantly more powerful and disciplined than their previous encounter. In a desperate bid to allow his injured allies to retreat toward the Federation, Rein resorts to a bold psychological gambit. He openly mocks Hela’s divinity and challenges the goddess to a formal duel, successfully shattering her composure and goading her into a direct confrontation.

While descending from the heavens just moments ago, Rein had spotted a verdant, lush island situated roughly ten kilometers to the northeast.

Engaging a goddess who commanded the authority of the ocean while remains in the open sea was clearly a reckless decision.

"Arrogant mortal ant, your pride and lack of wisdom shall lead you only to eternal agony. I will rip out your soul and forge it into an artifact spirit, ensuring you are tormented day and night!" Nether Sea Goddess Hela snarled, her teeth clenched in rage.

Rein's sharp eyes noticed the vast ocean beneath Hela transforming into a thick, murky black. It appeared as though she were dumping endless ink into a small pond, relentlessly tainting the waters around her.

The strange sea creatures trailing the Leviathan Giant Whale Jorgandman were unable to escape the spreading darkness. Upon contact with the black water, they shrieked in excruciating pain; the swiftest of the mutated crabs tore off their own limbs to flee, while the slower beasts dissolved into piles of sludge instantly.

Observing this horror, the Sea God Sect’s Flying Knights and high-ranking devotees scrambled to get away. Even the Leviathan Giant Whale Jorgandman began to shift its colossal frame, obviously terrified of touching the blackened tide.

The devastating corrosive strength of this dark liquid was undeniable!

Should this black water continue its expansion, the entire region would be transformed into a lifeless wasteland, a true Nether Sea where nothing could survive.

"Prince Menia, take this chance to escape with Tasa immediately!"

"The Nether Sea Goddess's indiscriminate domain attack has created openings in their formation." Rein sent the message directly through a Spirit Shock.

"Rein, your specialization in the Metal Series puts you at a severe disadvantage against the Nether Sea Goddess. I will deal with her; you focus on stalling the Leviathan Giant Whale so Tasa can get away safely."

"Fine, let's do it!" Rein agreed instantly, knowing there was no time for a lengthy debate.

Launching her assault, Nether Sea Goddess Hela threw her hands upward. The surrounding black water rose hundreds of meters into the air like a grim curtain, crashing down toward Menia and Rein.

"Come, let me witness exactly how much power you, a boastful ant, truly possess!"

"You and the insolent Dragon offspring behind you shall both find your graves in the depths!"

Facing Hela’s onslaught, Menia beat her wings and surged ahead of Rein. She reached out to touch the blue sapphire pendant hanging from her neck, whispering a quiet incantation.

In the following heartbeat!

The energy locked within the sapphire was pulled forth. To Rein’s amazement, the power released was not fire, but a wave of absolute cold that wrapped around Menia’s red dragon form like a shimmering blue ribbon.

Even the stray traces of energy escaping the ribbon were enough to instantly freeze the churning sea water nearby!

Furthermore, after summoning the ice energy, Menia did not launch it at the Nether Sea Goddess Hela immediately. Instead, she raised her other claw to manifest a surging, concentrated blast of flame.

Before her, a fusion of extreme ice and dense fire began to take shape.

Two comets, radiating brilliant blue and crimson light, twisted together like mating serpents. They spiraled forward, streaking toward Nether Sea Goddess Hela like falling stars!

"Frostfire Flame!" Menia declared in a low, resonant voice.

"Oh? The freezing power of the Ancient Frost Giant Ymir? A clever trick; it seems the Dragon left his descendants some valuable treasures." Faced with Menia's attack, even the expression of Nether Sea Goddess Hela turned grave.

She could feel that the explosive energy within the attack was highly volatile; any impact would trigger a catastrophic detonation.

Moreover, neither fire nor ice were easily quelled by the power of the Nether Sea.

In truth, these elements possessed a certain degree of suppression over her domain.

While marveling at Menia’s hidden card, Rein suddenly dove toward the Leviathan Giant Whale Jorgandman below. He intended to seize the initiative while Jorgandman was preoccupied with the clash between Hela and Menia.

"Weakness Control!"

Breaking from his usual pattern, Rein triggered the core abilities of the King of Thousand Blades even while maintained his Giant Dragon Form.

Usually, activating too many core skills at once during combat would result in massive energy depletion. However, despite having only six attribute points left, Rein knew this was no time to be stingy with his resources.

Within his slitted pupils, a three-dimensional 'map' of his opponent's anatomy manifested. It was outlined in virtual lines and dotted with many blue markers, a few yellow ones, and only two distinct red points.

Confronted by the forty-meter-long Dark Silver Dragon, the Leviathan Giant Whale Jorgandman showed no fear, letting out a roar as it lunged at Rein.

Yet, Jorgandman failed to notice a humming, dark silver metal disc that had suddenly appeared behind Rein’s right claw!

As the two closed the distance rapidly.

"Go!"

Before the Leviathan Giant Whale Jorgandman could even process the threat, a streak of dark silver light erupted from Rein’s raised claw.

Jorgandman was suddenly struck by a piercing agony in its right flipper. Looking down, it realized its massive, tens-of-meters-long limb had been severed cleanly by a single blow!

This was the precise opening Rein had calculated using Weakness Control, striking one of the red weak points located where the flippers joined the whale's massive torso.
