The protagonist's Mastiff brutally takes down Kaito and several guards. Following advice from Amber, the protagonist leaves the Mastiff behind to act as a distraction while they escape through the wall to meet Amber outside.

I trailed Yuki towards the very building I had just made my escape from, the female CEO striding forward with an air of confidence.

A few guards remained stationed at the entrance, their weapons immediately snapping up and aiming in our direction.

"Halt right there!! This facility is under lockdown! Especially for you!"

Yuki appeared unperturbed, particularly as her three canine companions stood protectively before us, emitting low growls at the guards who had their weapons trained on us.

"Are you absolutely certain you wish to deny us entry at this juncture? I possess knowledge that you are currently grappling with a significant predicament."

"What do you know?!"

She gestured towards her dogs, "My hounds have detected the presence of another canine within your premises. I am also aware that your superior is neither a Biotamer nor employs any. This can only lead to one logical conclusion if you consider it carefully."

The guards exchanged glances amongst themselves.

One among them, summoning a degree of bravery, continued to aim his rifle at Yuki, "You orchestrated this, didn't you?!"

Crossing her arms, she retorted, "How do you presume I could have accomplished such a feat? Did you witness me entering this building and discreetly placing a dog inside, or some such action?"

All the guards present knew full well that they had not observed anyone entering the building, so that line of reasoning was impossible.

Although... I suppose there was one guard who caught sight of me and attempted to question me... However, I had already fled and vanished before he could properly approach, so hopefully, he has either forgotten the incident or dismissed me as a mere hallucination.

Well... At the very least, he did not see my face, so even if I were to appear here again, he wouldn't be able to recognize me, even if he saw me once more.

One of the guards stepped forward, his weapon lowered, "Then what do you believe is transpiring? Seeing as you appear so certain."

She casually examined her fingernails, "I do not believe you are sufficiently qualified to converse with me. Where is your superior? I should be speaking with him directly."

No one responded immediately. I suspect they had by now realized that their boss was not answering their calls for reasons unknown, and must thus be in some sort of trouble.

Yuki tapped her foot with growing impatience, "Well? Where is your superior? Or is he too apprehensive to confront me following the damage to my exhibition?"

"We are unaware of what you are referring to," one of the guards denied, far too swiftly to be convincing.

She scoffed, "Whatever. That is not why I am here, and I shall deal with him appropriately at a later time. However, if he has indeed done something foolish, such as attempting to acquire an untrained dog for himself, believing he could somehow outmaneuver me... Then I must make him understand the extent of his folly. Now, will you summon him or not?"

The guards found themselves at a loss, exchanging uncertain glances regarding their next course of action.

Finally, one of them, whom I assumed to be their leader, stepped forward.

"Regrettably... We are currently unable to reach our boss... We suspect... He may have..."

Yuki's brow furrowed, "You're telling me he actually went to try and tame the dog himself and ended up dead?"

Silence was their only reply.

Yuki scowled and began striding towards the entrance, "Move aside immediately!"

The guards remained rooted to their positions, refusing to budge.

"I repeat, move aside! Do you wish to confront the creature your superior unleashed on your own? Shall I inform the owner of this station that you have a rogue beast within your building that you are incapable of controlling?"

One of the guards pointed at me, "We can permit you entry, but... Not an unrelated party such as her."

Yuki rolled her eyes, "The reason I've brought her along is her exceptional ability to control more creatures than I can. Therefore, her presence is indispensable."

"Then... Your dogs. You must leave them here."

"Oh, yes, certainly. Allow us to face the beast you've released without even a few other dogs for protection? Because we're just disposable, right? Do you truly believe I would willingly face such a creature without being shielded by at least some of my own? If you insist, I suppose you'll just have to accept the consequences when my dogs become enraged upon witnessing my demise."

With evident reluctance, the guards stepped aside, granting us passage.

I waited until the door swung shut behind us before I whispered to her, "You're quite the actress..."

She smoothed down her clothing, "I wouldn't term it 'acting' so much as understanding their thought processes and knowing precisely what words will elicit the desired outcome."

"In other words, you're skilled at manipulating others, aren't you?"

"Evidently, I'm not as adept at it with you."

I raised an eyebrow in her direction, "Is that meant to make me feel better?"

She opted not to reply, merely proceeding towards the elevator where more guards were assembled.

Upon seeing her approach, they attempted to bar her path. However, their resolve crumbled when a trio of dogs appeared, accompanying her. The guards immediately parted ways, as if witnessing the parting of the Red Sea, allowing her to proceed unimpeded towards the elevator.

With a casual wave, Yuki addressed them, "Leave this to the professionals and step aside."

Her command was met with no resistance as she entered the elevator, destined for the upper levels of the building.

We arrived at the same location as before, the place where I first encountered Kaito prior to our meeting in his office.

The elevator leading to his private office was, as expected, heavily guarded. Among the security detail, I recognized a familiar face.

It was the secretary bodyguard who had been posted here previously and whom I had incapacitated with a swift backhanded strike when she attempted to impede me earlier...

I had completely forgotten about her after that initial encounter... It seems she wasn't present for the final confrontation.

Observing her current state, heavily bandaged and limping, I suspect my earlier blow was more forceful than I initially realized...

She must have regained consciousness sometime after I began engaging her colleagues and, despite her injuries, managed to summon additional guards for backup.

However, the elevator is now completely jammed, a result of my actions in placing the corpses within the doors to prevent its movement. Consequently, they are all trapped on this floor.

She spotted our approach and immediately drew a firearm, aiming it directly at us.

"You bitch. What are you doing here?!" she demanded. In response, the other guards raised their weapons in unison.

Yuki let out a low whistle, and the dogs once again positioned themselves protectively in front of her, emitting menacing growls at the assembled guards.

The sight of the canines caused nearly all the guards to take a step back, with some turning to look at the secretary bodyguard with evident concern.

Yuki offered another wave, her tone dismissive. "Relax. I’m not here to cause trouble. Even though you guys went ahead to try and mess up my exhibition and everything. I’m more concerned about the fact that my dogs had detected another dog present in your building so I came here to make sure your stupid boss isn’t trying anything stupid."

The secretary's frown deepened. "We don’t have any dogs."

"Well, maybe you should ask your boss then. I want to speak to him."

"You don’t have an appointment."

Yuki gestured pointedly at the dogs flanking her. "Really? I see three open slots to meet with your boss right now. Are you going to tell me no?"

The secretary glanced back at the guards surrounding her for a brief moment before turning her attention back to us, a sigh escaping her lips. "The lift has been stuck for a while... We can’t get up there... There’s no other way to his office."

"That’s a shitty design. How have you not thought about what will happen when the lift gets stuck?"

Silence was their only reply.

Yuki gestured for them to move, her voice sharp. "Move aside."

This time, they complied. She then indicated the elevator doors, and one of the golden retrievers eagerly rushed forward, delivering a powerful kick with its hind legs.

The doors were torn from their frames, revealing the elevator shaft beyond and providing us with a route to ascend.

We approached the shaft, peering upwards. A ladder was visible, offering a way to climb, and the elevator itself was lodged on the floor directly above us.

We'll probably have to cut our way into the bottom of the elevator to get in as well but... I guess we found our way up now.

Ok, now doggies... Who wants a ride?
