What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company? Chapter 879: Dog VS Bodyguards

Kaito’s hands shot up: "Wait! Wait!! I have a proposal!!"
"Halt," I commanded.
The canine froze, though its gaze remained fixed on Kaito, poised to strike should he make any move.
I gave it a nod, signaling my permission for him to speak and present his proposition.
He gestured with his hands: "I had no clue you were a Biotamer... Listen, you might not be aware, but... That witch Yuki is manipulating you! She consistently uses those around her! She’ll discard you the moment she’s finished using you!!"
I feigned astonishment: "Oh? Are you speaking from personal experience?"
"As much as the admission pains me, yes! Believe me! Now that she knows you’re a Biotamer, she’ll exploit you and work you relentlessly! She’ll hold the fact that you killed me over your head and enslave you for all eternity!!"
"What makes you so certain of that?"
"You’re a Biotamer! Do you honestly believe she’d let a Biotamer like you go? You’re considered an incredibly valuable asset!!"
"You think she can truly restrain me if I desired to leave?"
"Absolutely! Why would she ever release someone like you when she can ensure your compliance? Do you even grasp the extent of your usefulness?!"
I regarded him for a moment before making a gesture towards him: "Do you truly believe I would trust you? You were the one who falsely claimed Yuki intended to use the turtle to seize control of the station, a claim that proved entirely untrue."
He faltered, likely having forgotten that he was the one who had attempted to deceive me into assisting him in eliminating Yuki by asserting she planned to release the turtle. Furthermore, the reward he offered was merely a paltry sum.
He genuinely attempted to persuade me that her objective was to deploy it for the station's destruction solely to secure the security contract.
This, in retrospect, made little logical sense if one gave it even a moment's thought. We had only entertained the possibility because we were unfamiliar with their true nature and were inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.
As if realizing his lack of further pretexts, the man swiftly reached toward his hip, as if to draw a weapon.
Without requiring any further command, the dog immediately sprang upon him, its jaws opening wide and clamping down onto his arm.
I witnessed Kaito’s arm being severed completely; the dog’s formidable jaws literally snapped the limb off as it bit down. A firearm went airborne, flying away from him, confirming he had indeed been attempting to access a weapon.
He emitted a shrill scream and began to retreat from me, his fear escalating as the dog before me gnawed on his severed arm.
I feigned surprise: "Oh my! Would you look at that? It appears our dear friend here thought he could try to outdo Miss Yuki’s animal exhibition by acquiring this dog for himself! But clearly, he underestimated the peril involved in obtaining such an animal, which is why it led to his unfortunate demise in his office~"
Naturally, he understood my veiled implication and bellowed to his bodyguards, "Hey!! What are you waiting for?!! Get them already!!"
Those nearest to us bore the expression of individuals just informed they were being dispatched to war, which, all things considered, bore a striking resemblance to our current predicament.
Nevertheless, they managed to overcome their immediate fear of the dog and re-drew their weapons, this time with a greater number opting for ranged weaponry over melee.
I was about to incapacitate them to prevent them from firing their guns, but the mastiff charged at them before I could act.
I observed the colossal dog, half my height, zig-zagging towards the group of women brandishing firearms with astonishing speed, evading their shots as they attempted to hit it.
With every gunshot that echoed, the mastiff would shift its position, completely dodging the projectiles aimed at it while steadily closing the distance to them.
On several occasions, the Mastiff’s form seemed to blur, reappearing momentarily on the ceiling where it ran upside down before vanishing elsewhere to evade gunfire from another secretary guard.
Honestly, from the adversaries' perspective, observing the dog, it would undoubtedly resemble a scene ripped from a horror film, with the creature relentlessly advancing and gunfire proving utterly ineffective in slowing it down.
I even felt a twinge of sympathy for those women, but... Our objective was to eliminate everyone present and leave no witnesses.
They had been given an opportunity to escape earlier but chose to remain; therefore... It is unfortunate, but sadly, your lives are forfeit.
I watched as the Mastiff reappeared on the ceiling once more before it suddenly propelled itself off the surface, soaring directly towards one of the secretary guards who had fired at it while it was still on the ground.
A streak of motion blurred past the woman, and instantaneously, a gaping gash appeared across her neck, from which blood began to spill profusely.
Gasping, she clutched at her throat, desperately attempting to staunch the bleeding, but it was futile. She coughed up blood and then collapsed onto the ground, her body spasming weakly as she succumbed to the loss of blood.
Without even waiting for her to fully expire, the Mastiff launched herself at another guard. This time, her target was a man wielding a sword. The female guard had discarded her firearm the moment the monstrous dog approached, deeming a blade a superior option.
As the Mastiff sprang towards her, the woman swung her sword. My heart constricted slightly with a surge of unease, only to witness the dog intercept the blade within its jaws, snapping it clean off the hilt. The woman was left grasping a useless piece of metal.
With the severed blade held firmly in its mouth, the Mastiff whipped its head, driving the jagged metal deep into the woman’s chest. The broken shard pierced through her torso, emerging from her back.
She clawed at the hilt, a choked cry escaping her lips. The dog then delivered a powerful kick with its hind legs, sending her stumbling directly into the line of fire of her colleague's weapon. Bullets struck her head and chest in rapid succession.
Using the fallen guard as an improvised shield, the Mastiff then leaped towards another pair of secretary guards who had switched to close-quarters combat. They attempted a coordinated sword attack on the large canine, which should have been feasible given its size.
However, the dog soared into the air, twisting its body mid-flight. It maneuvered through the narrow gap between their swinging blades, evading the attack and bypassing their defenses as if performing a flawless acrobatic feat.
The Mastiff then clamped its jaws around one guard's throat, tearing out her neck before whirling back to slash the other woman across the chest with its claws, creating a gaping wound.
At this juncture, the sheer carnage proved too much for some of the remaining guards. They dropped their weapons and fled, utterly abandoning the individual they were tasked with protecting.
As I previously stated... We cannot permit anyone to depart from this location. They have witnessed my face, and every single one of them must perish here, so...
The Mastiff sprinted towards the fleeing women, catching up to them in mere moments. It pounced, knocking them to the ground before savagely tearing into their necks from behind with its powerful jaws.
Those who persisted in fighting charged at the dog, swords in hand. They let out fierce battle cries, attempting to bolster their courage as they sought to subdue the beast that was so effortlessly slaughtering them.
The dog turned towards them, its eyes gleaming with malevolent intent as it observed its charging prey, much like a predator spotting its next meal.
The dog's form became a blur as it weaved through the group, slashing each of their throats open and leaving a trail of corpses in its wake.
In a mere minute or two, Kaito's entire bodyguard contingent had been annihilated. Only Kaito himself remained, trembling and partially crying in the corner of his makeshift hiding spot.
The Mastiff trotted back to me, its tail wagging with apparent delight, before pausing to cast its gaze upon the cowering figure in the corner.
It then looked back up at me, as if awaiting further commands. I responded with a subtle nod.
Kaito let out a scream and attempted to flee. However, the Mastiff lunged, knocking him down from behind before savagely ripping his spine from the back of his neck.
Damn, that was brutal...
