What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company? Chapter 878: I’m Just Here For A Delivery

It seemed my arrival was anticipated, as the secretary was already there, awaiting me…
Rushing in immediately would likely expose me to further dangers ahead.
My primary objective wasn't indiscriminate killing, but to ensure Kaito's demise, with the fabricated reason being his failed attempt at taming a dog.
Therefore, leaving no trace of my presence was paramount. I couldn't employ methods that might suggest a cause beyond a mere animal attack, tipping them off to a more deliberate assassination.
I proceeded to the next section of the tower, where a private elevator stood ready to transport me to Kaito's personal office.
Entering the elevator, I pressed the button, and it began its ascent.
I braced myself for an interception on the upper floor, positioning myself for concealment in case they decided to fire upon the elevator the moment the doors opened.
To my surprise, that did not occur. Peeking from my hiding spot above the ceiling, I observed that the office was empty.
In fact, the entire area was shrouded in darkness, appearing completely deserted.
Hmm, if one were to think about it logically… The secretary I encountered earlier mentioned they were expecting someone. It wouldn't make sense for Kaito to simply wait here, knowing an attack was imminent, would it?
Instead, he must be in a secure location, orchestrating a trap to ensnare whoever was sent to eliminate him.
Just as this realization dawned, a prickling sensation at the back of my neck prompted an immediate duck.
It proved to be the correct decision, as a sword sliced through the air precisely where my head had been moments before.
I sprang back, identifying my attacker as another of Kaito's secretaries, this one wielding an energy blade that glowed ominously.
As if on cue, the lights flickered on, revealing the other secretaries emerging from their concealed positions, surrounding me.
They all seemed to be armed with swords, though I suspected they also had firearms concealed beneath their suit jackets.
I found myself wondering why. Was it purely for show, or was there another reason?
"Tsk… He actually dodged that?" the secretary who had attempted to decapitate me muttered, turning to face me.
I remained still, not bothering to correct their assumption about my identity, as the security armor obscured my features. My focus was on maintaining my stance against this sudden ambush.
"Perhaps you'd tell us who sent you?" one of the secretaries inquired.
"And if I do, will you tell me where your boss is hiding?"
"So you can try to kill him? Not a chance."
"Well… To be perfectly honest, I'm not here to kill him. I'm merely delivering a package," I stated, a partial truth.
"Really? A package that requires you to disguise yourself and infiltrate the most secure room in this building?"
"It's meant to be a package only he can open."
"Are you implying that package contains a bomb set to detonate upon opening?"
"Certainly not. I personally verified the contents; there is no bomb."
"Feeling witty, are we? Speak. Tell us who dispatched you, and we might show leniency."
I raised a finger to my helmeted lips. "Apologies, client confidentiality. It's outside the scope of my professional duties to divulge such information."
"Then you shall perish here," one of them grunted, unleashing a sweeping sword strike before lunging at me.
Well… Since this one volunteered…
I sidestepped the descending blade and immobilized her with my telekinesis, allowing me to swiftly seize her and establish a hostage situation.
I ensured the entire maneuver was executed with extreme speed. While she might have felt a sudden paralysis, she shouldn't have been able to deduce the cause as my telekinesis.
"Alright, nobody make any sudden moves," I warned, encircling her neck with my arm. "Attempt anything foolish, and her neck will snap."
I half-expected them to disregard their colleague's safety and attack regardless, but to my surprise, they held back.
The woman I held captive, however, growled at them, "Don't worry about me!! Attack him!! What are you waiting for?!"
I tightened my grip, cutting off her air supply to silence her further.
"I strongly advise against following her instructions, especially if you wish to keep her neck intact."
The other secretary girls recoiled. Initially, I assumed they were complying with my commands, but the girl I held gripped my hand and choked out, "Do it! Do it now!"
One of the women within the circle then tapped the arm of the girl I was restraining, eliciting a cry from her. Suddenly, electrical sparks erupted around her form, surging towards me. It dawned on me then that this entire situation had been orchestrated as a trap from the very beginning.
Before I could even shove the woman away, the electrical current reached me. A tingling sensation shot up my arm as I managed to push her from me. I braced myself, expecting the electricity to inflict pain or perhaps even paralyze me, but strangely... aside from the current traveling up my arm, nothing else seemed to happen?
"Renata, are you alright?" I murmured, glancing down at my arms.
"Um... I think so, Daddy? That didn't hurt at all."
The woman I had just pushed away was now convulsing on the floor, a victim of her own electrically charged trap. The remaining secretary girls rushed forward, intending to attack me, believing I was incapacitated by the shocks. Ugh, this is just...
I ducked under a sweeping attack and delivered a swift kick to my assailant's abdomen, sending her soaring backward. Next, I sidestepped a lunge aimed at my chest and countered with an elbow strike directly to the face of the woman who had lunged. A brief pause in the onslaught provided just enough room for me to leap out of their encirclement, evading a few more slashes thrown my way.
"Bring her out, Renata," I commanded. My eldritch maid complied, and the box containing the dog then popped open, landing before me. Using my telekinesis, I ripped the door off its hinges, allowing the pony-sized dog to burst forth from the container. The reaction from the secretary bodyguards was instantaneous; their eyes widened in panic before they swiftly turned and scattered in all directions.
The Mastiff turned its gaze toward me, clearly anticipating further orders. I walked over to the chair that was presumably Kaito’s personal seat and pointed at it. "Seek, seek!" The canine approached, sniffing the chair for a moment before lifting its head to scent the air. It then turned decisively towards a specific section of the wall and bounded forward, ignoring the fleeing bodyguards to slam directly into the plaster.
The wall section crumbled, revealing a hidden room. Inside, Kaito sat, his face a mask of terror, much like his bodyguards. He had apparently witnessed the entire unfolding drama via the live feeds displaying the room's events. I'll need to have Ries erase all recordings from this place later. Peeking through the breach in the wall, I found the sight of Kaito huddled in the corner somewhat amusing, with the Mastiff positioned protectively in front of him, ensuring he couldn't escape.
Since we've come this far... I might as well leave him with a final greeting. I instructed Renata to reveal my face to him. His eyes widened further upon realizing who was standing before him. "You shouldn't have messed with us. Now, you die. Go on a rampage, girl~" With that, the dog lunged toward Kaito...
