Void Evolution System Chapter 1892 Clash of the Titans [21]

Previously on Void Evolution System...
Damien’s transformation into a True Void Soul marked a pivotal moment as he began his ascent toward the Void, facing the relentless Dark God, who had become an embodiment of envy fueled by desperation. As the Dark God recognized Damien as his true threat, their clash erupted into chaos, with Damien deftly navigating the onslaught of corrupted energy while his own concepts of Existence and Nonexistence slowly merged. The battlefield between them morphed into a surreal display of colors and explosions, but Damien’s focus shifted away from the Dark God as he approached a state of invulnerability, nearing his ultimate goal. With only one step remaining, the fate of the cosmos hangs in the balance.

The shadows had long since dissipated. The surrounding environment had transformed into a landscape resembling the Void, where both the True Void and the Sacred Abyss were visible in the distance. The Dark God, inhabiting the incarnation of envy, lashed out with a repulsive, shifting form in a desperate attempt to harm Damien, yet his efforts were utterly futile.

Damien’s physical form had already reached a critical threshold. Only a few moments remained before his transition was absolute. "This will not happen," the Dark God declared.

For the first time, the Dark God’s speech was lucid, no longer clouded by his twisted worldview or internal delusions. Around his opponent, the aura continued its transformation. It wasn't merely mimicking a Worldwalker; it was becoming undeniably the essence of an entity known as "Damien Void."

The Dark God grasped the gravity of this change. To any other observer, it would seem as though Damien was vanishing into the background, merging with the inconceivable. It appeared he was becoming the Void itself. However, from the Dark God’s perspective—standing just a step below that peak—he saw a being becoming defined by an incomprehensible individuality. Damien was truly evolving into a singular "individual."

Across every timeline, every reality, every dimension, and every corner of space, he remained the same person.

It mattered not if he had been born within the True Void Universe or some obscure corner of a distant cosmos; if a version of Damien existed within the layers of the Void, it was absorbed into his being.

This was the result of completely transcending the boundaries of dimension, time, and space. Damien now existed independently of both Existence and Nonexistence. "You... you have..."

Although Damien was beyond hearing him, the Dark God spoke to him directly.

"How did you manage to reach that realm?"

It was the very horizon the Dark God had spent his life chasing. There was no way he could fail to recognize it.

The incarnation of envy began to shake. The core of its being relied on the delusional conviction that its path was the only correct one. To sustain the Dark God’s journey, this delusion was vital. The moment Damien achieved a feat that shattered that illusion, the rest of his reality crumbled with it.

"I will never..."

He muttered incoherent words to himself. Ultimately, his intent was felt rather than heard: "It was never meant to be me."

That single realization was his breaking point.

"Why does the Abyss despise me so?! What was my sin?! Why was I condemned to such a wretched existence?!"

He was no longer addressing Damien. Instead, his millions of hands and countless eyes were turned toward the heavens. He cried out to the ultimate entity, refusing to accept his destiny.

"My fate... yes, my destiny was always met with contempt. When the end comes for all things, even you are my foe."

His eyes bulged as he screamed his fury at the Void.

"I see now, he is your chosen one. In that case, I shall be the instrument of your downfall."

If the Void intended to be his enemy, he would respond in kind. He understood that destroying the Void was impossible, for it was an entity that could neither be birthed nor extinguished.

However, he had seen the Void’s affection for Damien. Throughout reality and within Damien’s own memories, it had been a constant guide.

Thus, to strike at the Void, he merely had to destroy Damien.

Damien, of course, remained oblivious to these threats. Once his body became indestructible, his entire focus shifted to the monumental evolution occurring within himself. He allowed this because he was certain the Dark God posed no threat, a confidence that was well-founded.

Damien had become an existence akin to the Void, meaning he was now beyond creation or destruction.

Yet, unlike the Void itself, he could still be broken.

The Dark God turned his gaze toward the ongoing conflict. He observed the slaughter of his own forces, but their victory or defeat was irrelevant to him now.

He focused on Damien’s heart. In every aspect, Damien was self-centered, with only one exception: his family.

If they were erased from existence...

A flash of insanity sparked in the Dark God’s many eyes. He envisioned the hollow future Damien would endure—a bleak path leading to a death far more pathetic than that of the Worldwalker.

With that vision driving him, he chose a path of total self-destruction.

His physical form expanded violently in a heartbeat.

He pulled in every ounce of energy within his reach: the powers of Existence and Nonexistence, the foul essence of the incarnation of evil, and the energies of both the Sacred Abyss and the True Void Universes.

He grew until he was large enough to swallow the Sacred Abyss, and he didn't stop there. The power he amassed became dangerously unstable.

His intention was clear.

With all hope lost, he resorted to his final option. By sacrificing his own life, he would annihilate everything Damien cherished before the young man could cross the final threshold. He had become a living catastrophe that Damien seemingly failed to notice. As he utilized the power of a Supreme to detonate himself, the impact was nearly instantaneous. The Dark God let out a roar. Damien’s eyes remained shut, his attention elsewhere. But the Dark God didn't care; his final words would be etched into Damien’s soul regardless.

Once again, everything converged on a mere fraction of a second.

Time seemed to warp around them, turning this fleeting moment into the pivot of history. The Dark God bellowed his final curse.

"In the end, you’ll be just like me! A monster reigning over a world of hollow puppets! Damien Void, I may perish today, but you will never taste true happiness!"

The Dark God’s laughter was manic as his gathered energy reached a volatile peak.

He was committed; there was no turning back. His death was certain, but he intended to take everything with him. His gargantuan form now loomed over both universes, yet... why?

Why did his eyes tremble as they looked down at Damien?

The man was still human-sized. He was a mere speck before an unstoppable force, and yet...

Why did he appear so overwhelming?

With a gaze of absolute coldness, Damien met the Dark God’s eyes. When had he opened them?

With a single look, he invalidated the Dark God’s entire struggle. With a single sentence, he crushed the man’s remaining pride.

"You talk too much."

Were these words meant to be the final epitaph of Existence?

As the words left his lips, the Dark God’s form crossed the point of no return, turning into raw energy. The explosion that should have reduced two cosmos to dust began to erupt, but Damien’s voice somehow drowned it out.

A scene that should have been a grand tragedy was dismantled by one man.

Without fanfare, without a sound, and without a trace, Damien reached the final boundary.

His energies fused, elevating him to a status above all things.

He felt the change deep within. Nothing could affect him unless he permitted it. To him, the Dark God now held no more significance than a common toad.

If he willed it so...

"Hush."

The blinding white light that had begun to consume the Sacred Abyss vanished as quickly as it had appeared. It did not harm the Abyss. It did not touch the True Void. It was contained entirely within the Dark God’s own flickering form.

Instead of the thunderous roar of dying stars, there was only a soft "Splat!" as the Dark God was reduced to nothingness.

Damien didn't even look. There was no need. He was now perceiving "everything."

The incarnation of envy died so effortlessly that it was hard to believe it once threatened the world. The Dark God was gone, but Damien’s work was not finished.

He shifted his gaze toward a specific point. The fabric of the cosmos itself delivered a small piece of flesh to him. Space and time locked tight, making escape impossible.

As if drawn by destiny, the entity appeared in Damien’s grasp.

It writhed and snarled, its twisted face full of malice and curses, but Damien remained unmoved.

"Goodbye."

This creature had once been his ancestral uncle. In a different reality, they might have been allies. Damien saw that potential among the infinite paths of Existence, but the chance was infinitesimally small.

In nearly every future, this man had chosen the path of envy.

Such a soul had no place in this world. It was a silent, unremarkable moment for an observer watching Damien.

He had achieved the impossible. He had destroyed the greatest threat to his cosmos and ascended to become Absolute. It should have been a moment of grand celebration, but Damien’s expression remained indifferent.

In a heartbeat, his entire psyche had shifted. He now possessed the perspective of an Absolute, a view that stripped the mundane of its meaning.

Whether it was the Dark God or a tiny insect on the pavement, whether it was his greatest foe or a random villain, Damien now viewed them through the same lens.

This was the destiny of the man who had surpassed all things, whether they existed or not.
