The Abyssal Sea Boat arrives at Myriad Refinements Island, a desolate place filled with dense Nether Qi. Hai Kuo and his group explore the island, seeking the True Monarch's legacy. After opening a sealed gate, they are unexpectedly transported to a lower basin where they are attacked by a swarm of Iron-Carapace Devouring Beetles. As they fight the swarm, cultivators from the Azure Blood Sect, led by Daoist Xue Ren, appear, revealing they also seek the legacy and intend to claim it for themselves, initiating a three-way conflict.
