During an ambush, Lawrence attempts to flee but is shot in the leg by his nephew Zixin. Enraged, Lawrence retaliates and kills Zixin. Four months later, the focus shifts to the Li mansion, where the family, including expectant parents Qiang and Guang, anticipate the arrival of Yumi and Zixin. Ben struggles with his infant son Jeremy while Clara and Mian are out shopping.

"You can't do that, darling. It's incredibly unfair," Singtan grumbled.

"Whoa, what's going on now?" Yumi asked curiously.

"Darling, next time you feel the need to say something, please refrain from calling your father," Ming advised.

"Okay, but what happened?"

"Because your father is completely unhinged. He continues to act like a child despite being a grandfather," she retorted, casting a sharp glance at her husband.

"Alright, let's discuss this later. I have something very important to share," Yumi announced excitedly.

With his arms encircling her waist, Zixin suggested, "Why don't we wait for the others as well?"

"When are they expected?"

"Clara and Mian are on their way. I have no information about the rest," Ben replied.

"What is it? You're making me quite curious," Qiang raised her eyebrows.

Just then, Mian and Clara arrived, closely followed by Zian and Yushen.

"I abandoned a crucial meeting midway for this gathering, so it had better be extremely important and worthwhile," Zian stated sternly.

"Okay, since everyone is present, we have an announcement for all of you—"

Cutting Zixin off, Yumi beamed, "We are expecting!"

"Babe, I was supposed to be the one to say that," Zixin frowned.

"What?" Singtan shot up, his eyes wide with disbelief. "Y-You're pregnant?"

"Oh my goodness, this is wonderful news!" As Qiang attempted to rise hastily, Guang gently restrained her. "Whoa, honey, don't forget you're also expecting."

"Guang is right; you shouldn't get up so abruptly. I'll come to you instead." Hugging Qiang, Yumi smiled warmly.

"Congratulations! I am overjoyed for you both."

"Congrats, man! I can hardly believe you're becoming a dad. And I'll be an uncle for the third time."

"Never mind you, brother Zixin; *I'm* becoming an uncle for the third time. I'm still so young; how is this even possible?" Yushen lamented.

"Don't fret, Yushen; you can be the cool uncle," Clara chimed in.

"Ben and Clara have a beautiful son, Qiang and Guang will soon welcome theirs, and now Yumi and Zixin... everything is falling into place perfectly," Ming observed, adding with a hug for Yumi, "Another grandchild."

"This is truly perfect." Glancing at Mian and Zian, Qiang grinned. "Things would become even more perfect if brother Zian and sister Mian were to have one too."

"We are taking our time; there's no pressure," Mian replied calmly.

"That's wonderful. You should only consider starting a family when you feel truly ready. However, if a baby decides to surprise you, then you'll have no choice but to be ready," Ming remarked sagely.

...

A week later.

"Qiang, why can't you sit still? How many times have I told you to remain in one place and avoid moving around so much?"

"I sit for the entire day, Mom; I need to stretch my legs a little," Qiang replied, walking towards Ming with a sigh. "I could use some water."

"Sit down; I'll fetch it for you."

"It's alright, Mom; I'll just grab—ahhhh...." At that precise moment, Qiang slipped on the floor.

"Qiang—" Ming cried out, rushing towards her.

Clutching her stomach, Qiang groaned in agony. "Mom—it hurts so much."

The household helpers quickly came to their aid, helping Qiang to her feet.

"Singtan, Yushen—" Ming shouted urgently.

"Qiang—" Yushen gasped, hurrying down the stairs. "What happened? How—"

"We need to take her to the hospital immediately."

"The hospital? What occurred?" Singtan inquired, rushing over. Upon seeing Qiang writhing in pain, he began to panic. "What—"

"She slipped on the floor," Ming explained breathlessly.

"What? How could this have happened?"

"Dad, there is absolutely no time for explanations right now. We must get her to the hospital," Yushen stated. He looked at Ming, instructing, "Inform Guang." Then, scooping Qiang into his arms, he rushed out the main door towards the car.

...

A few minutes after Qiang was urgently taken to the emergency room, Guang arrived.

"W—What happened? Qiang—how is she?" he asked, his voice filled with panic.

"She's inside."

"How did this incident occur?" Zian inquired.

Sitting slumped on the bench, Ming covered her face with both hands. "It's entirely my fault; I wasn't vigilant enough—"

"Mom, please stop blaming yourself. It wasn't anyone's fault. Everything will be alright; don't worry," Yumi consoled her.

After a tense few minutes, the doctor emerged from the room and announced, "We need to perform an urgent surgery; otherwise, both the babies and the mother will be at risk. Who is the husband?" As Guang stepped forward, the doctor continued, "We require your signature on the consent form."

"Will my wife be alright?"

"We will do everything in our power to save both babies and the mother. Please, do not lose hope."

"Guang, you cannot remain like this. You must be strong for Qiang and your children," Yushen said, patting his shoulder. "Let's head over to complete the form first, alright? They won't commence the surgery without your signed consent."

Guang signed the consent form and concluded all necessary procedures. The operation then commenced, lasting for 75 minutes.

Impatiently, everyone waited outside the operating theatre for any news regarding Qiang or the newborns.

Shortly after, the doctor emerged and announced, "Congratulations, it's a girl and a boy."

"Is my wife alright?" Guang inquired.

"Yes, she is perfectly fine. We will be moving her to a room shortly."

A collective sigh of relief swept through the group upon hearing the good news.

Leaning against the wall, Guang shut his eyes. Only he was aware of the immense difficulty he experienced waiting outside the operation theatre, anticipating the doctor's word. The notion of losing Qiang rendered his mind utterly vacant.
