The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] Chapter 1274: Model Students

Now, with two down and one to go, anyone would’ve thought that they were well on their way to a swift conflict resolution.
Unfortunately, unlike those young royals, convincing one particular little Queen proved considerably more difficult.
"Bzzzz!"
Little Isabelle flew around her parents in what could only be described as a tiny sulking storm.
Since the Queen Bee still couldn’t speak, she was forced to communicate her extreme displeasure entirely through dramatic expressions, frantic buzzing, indignant squeaks, and increasingly aggressive little gestures with her clawed paws.
And when her parents finally gave her a firm no?
The little Queen looked absolutely mortified!
Because Isabelle had apparently been under the impression that all those warnings only applied to those two babies.
Sure, she was also a baby, but you know—
The fragile ones!
In fact, she’d completely agreed with the adults!
Only moments earlier, she’d been standing proudly atop her Papa’s shoulder with both clawed paws planted against her hips, nodding her tiny head with solemn approval as though to say that yes, obviously babies shouldn’t be allowed to wander into dangerous places by themselves.
She was clearly very mature and responsible for understanding this.
Then she discovered the rule apparently included her.
"?!"
The absolute horror!
Immediately, Isabelle’s wings began buzzing even harder as she gestured frantically between herself and the gate.
How could they possibly compare her to the real babies?!
The others hurriedly tried to calm her down, explaining that it wasn’t as though she could never enter another simulation.
That wasn’t the problem at all!
Rather, there was one particularly important issue nobody seemed to know how to solve.
How exactly was Isabelle supposed to read the interface?
Killian could’ve torn something with how quickly his head whipped toward the redhead who’d voiced what he considered perfectly logical reasoning in such a matter-of-fact tone.
Jax looked back at him with an expression of complete innocence.
"What?"
The Chief of Staff stared.
"Really? the problem?!"
"Well, she’s probably stronger than I am!" Jax immediately argued. "So if I say she can’t go because of skill, then how many of us aren’t going to be allowed in there?!"
Killian opened his mouth.
Then closed it.
Jax pointed toward the still-indignant Queen Bee.
"But she can’t read yet, so that’s a real problem!"
"..."
Unfortunately, Luca found himself agreeing.
Right!
Reading was a problem!
The golden-eyed cadet’s expression immediately brightened as a wonderful solution occurred to him, and his hand had already started rising.
"I can—"
An arm wrapped firmly around his waist.
"Eh?"
Luca blinked.
He looked down at the arm.
Then he looked up at his husband.
Xavier remained perfectly composed.
Because unlike his innocent little wife, the Imperial Crown Prince possessed enough foresight to recognize exactly what kind of chaotic disaster could result from Luca personally teaching Isabelle how to read.
Especially when the student in question already possessed certain...
No.
Absolutely not.
With Luca as her teacher, they might somehow end up with far more than just a fully literate Queen Bee. At this rate, she might even be capable of organizing an actual coup sometime in the near future.
"?"
Those long lashes simply kept fluttering as the almost-volunteer tutor remained completely unaware of why he was suddenly being restrained.
Fortunately, the Imperial Prince managed to resist the brief impulse to simply give in and tightened the arm around his waist instead.
It was strictly for the best.
Though perhaps regrettably for everyone with grievances left to air, before anyone could lodge any further complaints regarding dungeon schedules, age restrictions, literacy requirements, or Queen Bee discrimination, their attention was abruptly pulled elsewhere.
See, Theo had stepped away from the group several moments earlier to answer an incoming call on his terminal and was only now making his way back.
And judging by his expression, whatever he’d heard had left him more curious than anything, almost as though he wasn’t entirely sure why he’d been the one to receive the call in the first place.
"Uh, guys..."
The ongoing arguments gradually quieted.
Theo glanced around at everyone, looking unusually confused.
"Sorry, but I was told to make sure you all take a look at your terminals...?"
"Huh?"
Still firmly trapped by Xavier’s arm around his waist, Luca tilted his head.
What was that about?
But before Theo could explain any further, every cadet’s terminal suddenly went off at the exact same time.
"?!"
__
Luca read the notice again just to make sure he hadn’t somehow misunderstood it.
Unfortunately, the words remained exactly the same.
[OFFICIAL NOTICE: ALL SPECIAL-EXEMPTION STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE UPCOMING ORIENTATION.]
And right underneath were the detailed instructions regarding their mandatory attendance, stating that the orientation would be held at the Main Auditorium at eight in the morning, three days from today.
"?!"
For a moment, Luca felt strangely nervous.
After all, it wasn’t often that someone like him actually received a formal summons to come to school!
And despite everything the golden-eyed cadet had already gone through, apparently, he wasn’t completely immune to that familiar sense of panic practically every Tesseris student experienced whenever some terrifyingly official notice suddenly echoed through the school speakers.
Had he done something wrong?
Was he in trouble?!
Just to be safe, Luca immediately peeked over at his husband to check whether Xavier had received the same notification or whether he was somehow the only one being specifically summoned
Thankfully, Xavier’s terminal displayed the exact same notice.
Luca visibly relaxed.
Right.
If his husband, who was somehow still considered a model student despite barely going to school himself, had received the same thing, then surely they weren’t in trouble!
And as someone who genuinely didn’t want to become some horrible school delinquent and disappoint his extremely kind parents, that realization was considerably more reassuring than it probably should’ve been.
Princess Kira, however, had a different concern.
"Why did they call you?"
Her suspicious gaze immediately landed on Theo.
More specifically, she wanted to know whether he had any additional information and why, out of everyone present, he’d apparently been the only one to receive an actual call.
Off to the side, Rahil, who wasn’t even enrolled at the Royal Military Academy, could already make a fairly reasonable guess.
Because really, among all the people gathered there, only an idiot could look at that particular roster and decide it would be a wonderful idea to personally call the Orcish Princess or any of the currently in-demand geniuses of the century!
More importantly, if the Academy actually wanted a normal answer instead of somehow getting dragged into whatever chaos these people were currently involved in, their chances would probably be considerably higher if they simply asked Theo Belgrave to play messenger.
And judging by Theo’s expression, he seemed to have reached roughly the same conclusion despite Rahil keeping every single one of those thoughts to himself, save for the subtle way his eyes darted from one person to another.
"I think I have the highest attendance out of all of us, so they’re probably just more comfortable calling me," Theo admitted. "They were worried some of us might miss the notification, so they wanted to make sure everyone actually saw it."
That sounded reasonable enough and was, honest to goodness, the exact reason Theo’s Pharmacy Instructor had ended up getting cornered by the other instructors and entrusted with such an important task.
"Ah, as for additional information, well, they also gave me a heads-up and told me to ask everyone to clear an entire week starting two days after the orientation. Apparently, we have to be present for an activity."
"!!!"
