The Long-awaited Mr Han Chapter 3580 Untitled

Gratitude welled up in Jiang Huaizhou's heart for Mrs. Dong's efforts in moving his relationship forward.
He quickly proposed, "How about you just call me Huaizhou?"
A blush crept onto Dong Yujie's cheeks as she cast a sideways glance at Mrs. Dong.
She felt too shy to address him by his given name in Mrs. Dong's presence.
Mrs. Dong offered a warm smile and encouraged, "Just give it a try. You'll need to get accustomed to it eventually. Referring to him as 'brother' could lead to misunderstandings."
With Mrs. Dong's endorsement, Dong Yujie felt she had no alternative but to attempt it.
She drew a deep breath, but the words seemed to stick to the tip of her tongue, hesitating to be formed. Despite her best efforts, she couldn't bring herself to say "Huaizhou."
Nevertheless, Jiang Huaizhou's steady gaze offered Dong Yujie no room for hesitation or delay.
Avoiding his eyes, Dong Yujie confessed, "Huai... Huaizhou..."
Her heart began to pound like a drum, sending her senses into a whirlwind.
This was despite her having already called him by his name that morning.
At that time, she had only done so after hearing Qu Mengyu address him by his name.
Dong Yujie's intention then was to playfully tease Qu Mengyu, not to be serious.
Her preceding utterance had been laced with sarcasm.
Evidently, the current instance of her saying his name felt entirely different.
Hearing Dong Yujie finally utter his name, Jiang Huaizhou felt as if he could conquer any hunger and eat three whole bowls of rice.
"That's wonderful!" Mrs. Dong exclaimed with delight. "That's exactly how a couple should speak to each other."
"Mom's right," Jiang Huaizhou chimed in agreement.
A chuckle escaped Dong Yujie's lips.
"Speaking of which," Mrs. Dong continued, "you two were discussing buying a home. Have you made a decision yet?"
"Mhm," Dong Yujie responded, returning to the topic at hand. "Huaizhou mentioned that living in a rented place won't feel secure once we're married. So, he's planning to take out a loan to purchase a house."
"Why go through all that trouble? We could simply swap residences," Mrs. Dong suggested. "This house is quite spacious. It seems a waste for me to occupy it alone. You two could move in here, and I'll take the smaller house."
"Does Huaizhou's current rental have two bedrooms?" Mrs. Dong inquired.
"Mhmm," Jiang Huaizhou confirmed with a nod.
"That sounds like a good arrangement. If Huaizhou's current lease hasn't expired by the time you two tie the knot, I'll move into his place, and you can both stay here," Mrs. Dong proposed.
"How could I possibly agree to that?" Jiang Huaizhou immediately countered. "I can't let you live in a rented apartment!"
"Why not? Besides, your company is navigating a critical phase right now. I already felt concerned when you mentioned buying two properties at once," Mrs. Dong explained.
"Why not acquire a smaller apartment, perhaps a one or two-bedroom unit? Mom could live there independently. This way, you wouldn't deplete your finances excessively. Your company is still in its growth phase and hasn't fully stabilized yet. Don't let the burden of purchasing a house weigh you down," Dong Yujie advised. "Mom is right; your company is in an ascending period and hasn't stabilized. Don't let the pressure of buying a house overwhelm you."
Indeed, the current residence was a bit too grand for Mrs. Dong to occupy by herself.
With Mrs. Dong living alone, two of the rooms would remain unoccupied.
Should Dong Yujie and Jiang Huaizhou move into this house, it would align perfectly with Jiang Huaizhou's initial aspirations.
Moreover, if he were to purchase a one or two-bedroom apartment, the financial strain on him would be significantly reduced.
"Excellent. My rental lease concludes in six months. I'll visit the real estate agency to survey available properties. If I find a suitable option, I'll proceed with the purchase," Jiang Huaizhou stated. After all, securing a spot in a new housing development within City B's central area presented a significant challenge these days.
Available land was scarce.
Anyone aspiring to reside in the city would need to consider purchasing a pre-owned dwelling.
Even then, the prices for second-hand homes were astronomically high.
"If I were to buy this house, it would require renovations, a process that would take at least half a year," Jiang Huaizhou began outlining his plans.
His current lease was set to expire around that timeframe.
Mrs. Dong nodded in agreement. "That shall be our course of action then."
Following dinner, Jiang Huaizhou and Dong Yujie insisted on helping Mrs. Dong clear the table, refusing to let her lift a finger.
"Mom, you've already put in so much effort preparing the meal. Please let us handle the rest," Jiang Huaizhou said kindly.
Fortunately, the house was equipped with a dishwasher.
Therefore, manual dishwashing was unnecessary.
However, wiping down the table still needed to be done.
Once all the cleaning was completed, Jiang Huaizhou seemed to linger, showing no inclination to depart.
Mrs. Dong observed this and inquired with a gentle smile, "Huaizhou, would you like to stay the night here?"
Jiang Huaizhou turned his gaze over, his face alight with joy. Mrs. Dong then remarked, "Your room is prepared. I make it a habit to clean your room daily. However, since you haven't been residing here, I was concerned the pillows might gather dust if left out, so I stored them away."
"If you wish to stay, I can bring them out for you. They are perfectly clean," Mrs. Dong offered.
Jiang Huaizhou's desire to stay was evident. "In that case, I shall stay."
He decided without a moment's hesitation.
A smile graced Mrs. Dong's lips as she replied, "Certainly. I'll go tidy up your room for you."
Dong Yujie understood that her relationship with Jiang Huaizhou possessed a unique dynamic, distinct from that of typical couples.
After all, they had grown up together, making the idea of sharing space quite familiar.
Even with the shift in their relationship, Jiang Huaizhou choosing to stay the night did not evoke any discomfort in Dong Yujie.
Jiang Huaizhou had, in fact, left a considerable amount of his belongings, including clothing, at this residence.
His sleepwear was also among the items left behind.
Consequently, it presented a great deal of convenience for Jiang Huaizhou to remain here.
After a moment's consideration, Jiang Huaizhou voiced, "Perhaps I should just move back here permanently?"
Mrs. Dong, who had just finished preparing the room, returned and overheard his suggestion.
She responded, "That would certainly be lively if you lived here, but your father would be left living all alone, and he might feel quite lonely. Would your dad be happy to discover you've decided to live with us?"
"If I were in your father's shoes, I would feel rather saddened. It would be akin to a family reunion from which I was excluded and left behind. Would that truly be appropriate?" Mrs. Dong inquired gently.
Jiang Huaizhou pondered her words and admitted, "I hadn't considered that."
"You are welcome to stay here from time to time, but a permanent stay might not be ideal," Mrs. Dong advised, adding, "This is not due to a lack of welcome."
"I understand," Jiang Huaizhou replied with a smile.
Mrs. Dong's reasoning was quite sensible.
If the three of them were enjoying themselves together under one roof, while Mr. Jiang remained at home by himself…
No matter how one viewed it, such a scenario was inherently melancholic.
This very reason had prompted Jiang Huaizhou to initially move out and establish his own independent living space.
The primary consideration was the enhanced convenience for his work when living alone.
The secondary, yet equally important, reason was to avoid causing feelings of loneliness for one party when accompanying the other.
Therefore, his decision had been to maintain his own residence.
He had planned to alternate his visits, spending one week at each household, ensuring a sense of fairness.
Suddenly, Jiang Huaizhou spoke with a serious tone, "Mom, and Yujie, I have something important to tell you both."
"Go ahead and say it," Mrs. Dong encouraged, her gaze fixed on Jiang Huaizhou with a smile, curious about his sudden shift to a more serious demeanor.
Dong Yujie looked at Jiang Huaizhou with a puzzled expression.
Why the sudden onset of such gravity?
Jiang Huaizhou cleared his throat before continuing, "Mom, I wish to marry Yujie."
Mrs. Dong remained still, momentarily stunned.
Before Mrs. Dong could fully process her surprise, Jiang Huaizhou turned to Dong Yujie and asked, "Yujie, will you do me the honor of marrying me?"
Dong Yujie, too, was taken aback, frozen in place.
They had only begun their relationship today, and now the prospect of marriage was unexpectedly on the table?
Mrs. Dong then inquired, her voice laced with surprise, "I am certainly not opposed to the idea. I am merely taken aback. I had assumed you two had only just started dating today?"
