The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1737: Power of the Elemental Dao
Previously on The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse...
Nobody knew Pickle Berry had her own Dao.
In fact, nobody expected her to possess a Dao of her own or even to go as far as reaching the Dao Manifestation stage. However, here she was, her Dao manifested as a six-armed lady, each arm wielding a weapon.
Thokk, who was taken aback by the sudden reveal, had little to no time before he was besieged by Pickle Berry’s attack. One of the arms, wielding a spear, summoned flames imbued with the power of the Dao.
As their weapons met, waves of Dao essence exploded, shattering the surrounding space like glass.
Thokk was pushed back, his expression turning pale.
"What was that?" he almost screamed.
The force behind the attack was so great that he felt like a planet had fallen on him.
Pickle Berry smiled and replied, "That was the power of a 15% manifested Dao. I inherited it from big brother, who can use 25% of it. Now, allow me to enlighten you a little of why the Dao is teh ultimate power."
The space around her turned cold, then at once, it froze, causing the very air to freeze. A bow made from the Ice Dao manifested behind Pickle Berry, and with a simple gesture, thousands of arrows fired out, each filled with the Dao of Ice.
"Damn it." Thokk, who was heralded as one of the greatest warriors in all of Dunsil City and perhaps the other cities, felt like he had met someone he could not underestimate.
And he indeed could not underestimate Pickle Berry, especially now that she had awakened the power of Dao, thanks to Kaden finally passing the Trial of Ascension and having awakened the True Forbidden Elemental Dao.
Thokk created a barrier of ice between himself and the arrows. However, it soon became clear to him that, despite possessing an extreme affinity for the ice element, he was still not strong enough against one imbued with the power of the Elemental Dao.
But he hadn’t reached the realm of Pseudo-Primordial by being weak.
He had faced many opponents, with his recent one being a Primordial, and won simply by being the smartest one on the battlefield.
He formed a hand seal, and at once, the space around him turned hot. He tapped into his flame element, and just when his barrier was on its last leg, a wave of incinerating force came from his body, clashing with the barrier.
"Ice and Flame Merge..." He formed complex hand seals, causing the ice and flame elements to merge into something much stronger.
The arrows were blocked, each slowing down compared to when they attacked the ice barrier alone. This gave him a moment to rest and think about his next move.
Just before Pickle Berry could activate the next attack, Thokk used a movement technique to move, arriving before Pickle Berry in an instant...
"Checkmate, Little Sister,"
His hand moves forward, aiming to grab her by the shoulder.
However, if he had appeared before her, he would have seen a smile appear on Pickle Berry’s face. The smile grew wider just as his hand was mere inches from her shoulder.
Pickle Berry turned her head to the side and winked at Thokk, who sensed danger and tried to move his hand back.
But he was too slow, or perhaps Pickle Berry was too fast.
Just as he pulled back, an invisible rope formed from the wind element latched onto his arm and legs.
"WHAT"
Thokk was struck dumb, and before he could wiggle his way out of the wind ropes, a deadly scythe was pressed against his neck...
"Checkmate, Big Brother,"
Pickle Berry’s voice entered his ear, causing Thokk to sigh in his heart.
If this were a life-and-death battle, his head would have been on the ground by now. That alone, and the fact that a mere Universal God was the one who had defeated him, he just couldn’t believe himself.
But the truth of the matter was that he had been defeated, and that alone was enough to show he had finally met someone who doesn’t walk the path of common sense.
"How," Queen Harxix asked, appearing beside her daughter Pickle Berry,
Having watched the entire battle, she could tell Pickle Berry hadn’t even used everything, yet she won against her big brother.
"As I said before, when it comes to big brother Kaden, nothing makes sense," she smiled, turning in Kaden’s direction to see if he had watched the battle too.
Seeing Kaden smile and nod toward her, she widened her smile.
"If you are all wondering how come I can harness the power of the Dao, the answer is simple, Big brother gave it to me,"
"Huh," everyone turns and looks at Kaden.
Perhaps seeing he had become a topic, he took Namariona’s hand, and they teleported, appearing before everyone...
"Pickle Berry is indeed right to say I have bestowed the power of the elemental dao on him. While that is true, I can only do that to her and my elemental spirits since the bond we share is rather special.
Well, I can do the same for Namariona since she is literally my heart. The connection between us is rather strong if you ask me.
To the rest of you, I can only bestow 5% on you, and that is if you have my blood flown through your body. I can’t just manifest anyone’s dao just because I could for a selected ground of people. Some conditions must first be met for that to happen."
"That is..."
"Insanity," Maneli commented, walking toward Kaden, "I have never met any in my billions of years alive who can manifest the Dao of another person."
Kaden smiles and turns toward the city, meeting the gaze of his triplets, "Sweethearts, kindly come over, let’s me clear the doubt in the air."
Nova, Stella, and Aria appeared beside Kaden the next second.
"Aria, Stella and Aria both have my blood in their bodies. Now, while they are merely Supremes with no connection to the Dao at the moment, I will first awaken their respective daos and then manifest them.
As to whether or not you doubt me afterwards, that will depend on what you wish to believe and what you wish to doubt,"
Kaden smiles and turns to Namariona, "Be a sweetheart and activate the Star Dao Key Diagram"
