The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1635: Divided Court

The Heavens Court is made up of fourteen member states comprising the Human Universe, Beast Universe, Vampire Galaxy, Elven Galaxy, Dragon Galaxy, Phoenix Galaxy, Barbarian Galaxy, Alien Universe, Metal Galaxy, Giant Galaxy, Spirit Universe, Ocean Galaxy, Titan Galaxy, and the Elemental Galaxy.

These fourteen member states had, since the Blood Era, determined the major events that took place throughout the universe. Without them, there wouldn’t have been any rules governing the universe.

However, while these fourteen leaders worked tirelessly, all major decisions were ultimately made by the Celestial Supreme, who was regarded as the universe’s supreme leader.

In the past, the Heavens Court met only to discuss matters of great importance. Of course, before the first sign of the Paragon surfaced, they could go for thousands of years without holding a single meeting.

However, the Paragon’s appearance threatened them, so they now meet every few months to discuss how best to handle his growing threat.

Today, they gathered once again within the Dark Space, every last one of them already aware of everything Klaus had revealed.

Normally, whenever they arrived, it would take some time before the Celestial Supreme joined them. However, today, he was already seated before anyone else arrived.

At once, the entire hall where they were meeting became tense.

Everyone wanted to hear what the Celestial Supreme had to say, so all eyes turned toward him.

After scanning their faces, he spoke.

"I called you here, fully aware that you have all seen what the Paragon revealed. First of all, I would like to say that everything he said is a lie. He used fabricated images and videos, hoping to win everyone’s sympathy.

I see he has succeeded on one front, but he seems to have failed to realize that we at the Heavens Court have stood together for years, so we cannot be divided so easily... right?"

"RIGHT!" everyone replied, making him smile faintly.

"I don’t know where Klaus Hanson got the evidence he claimed proved I had been in cahoots with someone by the name of Axarax, but know this: I swear on my soul that I have no relationship with anyone outside this universe.

The twelve youngsters I invited received inheritances from the Heavenly Dao. Of course, I failed to realize who the Renegade Hunter was, so one of the inheritances fell into his hands.

However, we will reclaim it and give it to someone worthy of wielding a gift from the Heavens.

That said, the Paragon seems to have made his stance clear, and so I have called you all here to discuss how best to deal with this threat. The Foreign Race is currently being held back by our warriors.

However, the Paragon has become a threat that cannot be ignored. We must put him down, just as we have attempted to do in the past... This time, he must go down permanently. So what do you all suggest we do, and how should we go about it?"

The Vampire Emperor raised his hand.

"Before we get into the specifics, I would like to know whether any part of what the Paragon said is remotely true. Just before coming here, a high-ranking member of my clan claimed that two of the children shown in the video are from a small clan within the Vampire Empire."

"Same here. The human among them came from a tribe in the Human Universe," the Human Emperor added, prompting many others to voice their own concerns.

Hearing their words, the Celestial Supreme reassured them.

"They are safe and are currently under the protection of the Three Ancestors. Of course, in order to sell his narrative, the Paragon kidnapped the two vampires and the human. That is precisely why he must be stopped."

The leaders of the fourteen member states nodded, but most of them didn’t seem to take his words to heart this time. But that was fine. After all, he had come prepared with something he believed would be enough to get what he wanted.

Yet again, he failed to realize that, after several eras, Klaus had become so intelligent that he had already seen several steps ahead of him.

Just before he could continue, a video was sent to everyone, both inside and outside the Dark Space, including the Celestial Supreme himself.

The video showed what happened five minutes after Klaus teleported away with the two vampires and the human...

[Five Minutes After Axarax’s Descent]

"What just happened?" the Celestial Supreme asked, his expression dazed. Even after five minutes, he hadn’t recovered from what had just happened.

In fact, he seemed to be in such profound shock that he couldn’t wrap his mind around it.

Suddenly, he felt eight murderous gazes land on him, causing his body to freeze. He turned and saw that Axarax was staring at him through the eight bodies he had possessed.

"You are a fool, Elorm. When you called me during the Primordial Era, I thought you had some sense in your head. However, I can clearly see you are an idiot."

All eight bodies sneered as Elorm dropped to his knees.

"I beg for your forgiveness, my lord. I never expected the Paragon to fool me and everyone else. I genuinely believed he was the Renegade Hunter and was on my side. If I had known the truth, I wouldn’t have let him live for so long."

His forehead touched the ground.

"He is far more intelligent than everyone I have ever known, so it is only natural that he has outsmarted you. However, now that he has gained a head start, how do you suppose we handle things from here onward?"

Elorm lifted his head and looked at the eight possessed bodies.

"I will make sure nowhere is safe for him to stay by unleashing the entire Heavens Court upon him."

"Very stupid move, Elorm. What makes you think that, after everything he has captured, your little puppet council will take you seriously? Or do you seem to have forgotten that, during the Blood Era, only five of them bought into your lies about the Asura Race?"

Elorm frowned for a moment.

"What do you suggest I do, my lord?"

Axarax thought for a moment before replying,

"Do as you said, and if possible, use the three Primordials and the secret army to make them comply. Of course, they will have their doubts, but that will be enough to keep the Paragon busy.

I will look for more bodies to send the rest of my power into. And since I now have many bodies, I will make sure the Foreign Race intensifies its assaults on the universe while I work to open the Void Gate.

Just keep the Paragon busy for now until I send word. He is the only one who can pose a threat to me, so he must be kept busy for as long as I say so."

After giving his instructions, Axarax waved his hand, sending seven of his bodies into the void. They were still absorbing his power.

"Don’t fail me again, Elorm..."

After saying that, he too vanished into the void.

"Paragon... just wait for me."

The video ended.

At once, the fourteen leaders gathered inside the hall turned toward the Celestial Supreme with furious expressions.

"What is the meaning of this, Celestial Supreme?" the Dragon Emperor demanded, his aura causing the virtual hall to tremble violently.

Elorm opened his mouth, but no words came out.

"I hate it when someone uses me."

The Elven Empress, who had already spoken with her ancestor before coming, stood up and vanished from the hall, returning to the real world.

The Dragon Emperor, Vampire Emperor, Human Emperor, Beast Empress, and several others also left.

In the end, only two leaders remained.

However, just before Elorm could say anything, the Titan Emperor spoke.

"My Titan Race will come for revenge, Celestial Supreme."

"And the Barbarians will stand with them."

Elorm was left alone in the hall, his expression pale both inside the Dark Space and in the real world.

Empress Korvaxa slammed her fist on a table made from one of the most durable woods in the universe, shattering it into splinters. Waves of cold killing intent exploded from her body, causing every last person inside the royal mansion to turn pale.

"BASTARD"

She cursed, then, like she had gone mad, she flew from her room window and sped toward a mountain peak several miles away.

Atop the mountain sat a monk who, despite the entire universe losing its mind, seemed to have found inner peace. He sat composed, even when the presence of one of the most deadly archers in the universe landed in his resting place.

"Ancestor, can I have a word with you," Empress Korvaxa said, trying her best to keep her anger within. However, one could tell she is pissed.

She had just witnessed the biggest betrayal in history, and it came from someone she had trusted deep enough to put the fate of the Elven empire in.

By joining the Heavens Court, she told the rest of the universe that she stood with the Celestial Supreme and what he represents.

She had just seen with her own eyes what the Celestial Supreme was capable of and what he had already done. In fact, she was more pissed off than anyone.

Why, because while she wasn’t at fault, during the Blood Era, the Elves sided with the Heavens Court in killing the Asura Race.

That alone is what pisses her off, and in a way, she is cautious of what the Paragon would do now that he has revealed himself to the rest of the universe.
