The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1636: First Paragon God

"Tell me, Ancestor, do you have a relationship with the Paragon?" Empress Korvaxa asked, seated across from Uncle Monk.
She had arrived tense, anxious, and angry. However, with just a cup of herbal tea, she had calmed down considerably.
"Why do you ask?" Uncle Monk asked, taking a sip of his herbal tea.
"For starters, the Elven Empire and the Paragon don’t have a great relationship. After all, we were part of the race that attacked the Asura Race during the Blood Era, so I want to know whether it would be possible for you to speak with him and see if we can apologize and then come to some agreement that would benefit both parties."
Uncle Monk gave Empress Korvaxa a long, hard look, then he laughed.
"I sometimes forget how innocent you are, Korvaxa. I remember when I found you on that battlefield, you still had hope that those demons would surrender. At heart, you are a good person, and that is what has driven you to keep going for years.
Now, while I would love to scare you like good old times, it appears you are at a crossroads that doesn’t exist."
"What are you trying to say, Ancestor?" Empress Korvaxa asked with a slight frown.
"You ask if I have a relationship with the Paragon. The answer is yes. I was his grand uncle back during the Renegade Era," Uncle Monk revealed, and Empress Korvaxa’s eyes widened.
"He came to us when he was just seven. I, among hundreds of other monks, raised him like one of us. Even though we knew who he was, we made sure he had a good childhood by Monk’s standards.
However, as always, when he came of age, the heavens attacked, and in a bid to save us, he gave up his freedom to send half of us away to a planet many call a myth, but which actually exists.
He sent us to the Ice Planet, and ever since then, we have cultivated so that we can one day aid him in his endeavors. I am not the only Monk with unfathomable power; there are a hundred others equally powerful.
To the rest of the universe, the Paragon is a terrifying existence who wants the universe to fall, but to us, his uncles, he was merely a child who lost everything and needed a place to call home.
This universe is his home, and so doing anything that would harm it or anyone within it is the last thing he would do. So rest assured, he has no plans of coming after you or anyone. In fact, he probably needs your help more than you think."
Uncle Monk took another sip of his tea and added, "That said, you should probably make your stance clear. Klaus has exposed the true face of the Celestial Supreme, but that doesn’t mean the Heavens Court is done for.
You can make everyone aware of where you stand, and regardless of which side you choose, you have my full support. I only ask that you and your warriors fight for the universe, not against the Paragon. Trust me, if he wants you gone, he has a billion and one ways to accomplish that."
"I will do as you say, Ances—" Empress Korvaxa wasn’t done with her sentence when her body suddenly tensed. But she wasn’t the only one who felt it. Even Uncle Monk felt it, and he grew tense too.
"What was that?" Empress Korvaxa asked, staring at Uncle Monk, who was staring deep into the distance, almost as if he were looking at the source of the sudden wave of energy he felt.
All around the universe, powerful warriors, both those in the open and those in seclusion, felt it, and they all asked the same question. However, no answer came, but they knew that whatever it was, if it was against this universe, then they were doomed.
"I will go investigate," Uncle Monk said, and then he vanished into the void, traveling several light-years in an instant. When he appeared again, he hovered over the Devil’s Maw alongside thousands of others, each a powerhouse.
A few seconds after he appeared, the likes of Burning Angel, the Genesis Flame Queen, and other mysterious figures long thought to have faded into history began to appear one after another.
Clearly, some had already been on their way to the Devil’s Maw, while others had sensed that the overwhelming power they had just felt had originated from this place and had come to investigate.
However, despite gathering there, no matter how hard they searched, they couldn’t find anything or anyone that would point to the source of the threat.
But they knew it had something to do with the Devil’s Maw. Naturally, they all remained where they were, waiting as more people arrived on the scene, some carrying overwhelming presences and a variety of motives.
Meanwhile, deep inside the Devil’s Maw, the energy everyone was feeling was merely a few leaks from a pagoda.
This pagoda was connected to the Inheritance Tower, where Klaus and his incarnations stood, watching the Star Gate that carried Rhazor into the God Ascension Trial, now oozing an overwhelming Blood and Fire aura.
Rhazor had been in the trial for quite some time, and now he was finally coming out. However, even before he appeared, the power leaking from the gateway told Klaus and his incarnations that Rhazor wasn’t returning the same.
In fact, he seemed to be emerging with a presence that far surpassed anything the heavens had ever witnessed.
"He is coming," Asura suddenly said, narrowing his gaze at the gateway where the silhouette of a man clad in crimson high-tech armor slowly walked out, his presence radiating both overwhelming power and something far more profound.
He has red hair that falls to his shoulders, framing his well-chiseled cheekbones and crimson eyes. A pair of dragon horns sat on his forehead, giving him that dragon-man look.
Every step he took destabilized the space around him, intensifying his aura. It was as though he possessed a presence so absolute that the natural laws of the universe shattered beneath his feet.
Klaus narrowed his eyes at the sight, and for a fleeting moment, his expression turned pale.
However, he soon lifted his head and unleashed a resounding laugh, the kind that left Hanna and the Calamity Guards wondering why he was laughing at such a moment.
To make matters even stranger, his other incarnations also burst into booming laughter, causing Hanna to facepalm.
However, just as Rhazor closed the distance between them, her eyes widened, for she too had sensed it.
"This..." she muttered, too shocked to finish what she wanted to say.
"Dao..." Klaus said between bursts of laughter. "That is a True Dao. I have awakened my own Dao."
And it wasn’t just any Dao derived from the Heavens. This was his own Dao, one over which he possessed absolute control.
This meant that instead of merely comprehending it like everyone else, his Dao would continue to grow stronger as he himself became stronger.
So while he might only be an Early God at the moment, the instant he stepped into the realm of a True God, his Dao would also evolve alongside him, opening countless new paths that had never existed before.
Even Celestials didn’t possess such an advantage. The Heavenly Dao was infinitely profound and incomparably complex, requiring endless comprehension before one could truly master even a fraction of it.
Rhazor, on the other hand, could choose to comprehend his Dao, allowing him to draw out even greater power from it, or he could completely ignore it and simply focus on increasing his cultivation. Either path would naturally deepen his understanding.
After all, he was the Dao, and the Dao was him. He was both its creator and its sole ruler. He defined its laws, enforced its principles, and decided its future. There were no shackles, no heavenly restrictions, and no limitations placed upon him.
Outside, the gathered powerhouses finally sensed the birth of the newly awakened True Blood and Flame Dao.
The moment they did, every single one of them trembled.
