The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1621: Trip Down Memory Lane

"If you brought me here to apologize, then don’t bother. We knew you weren’t at fault, and even though it was painful at first, we now know the mistake we thought you made had rather saved our lives.
So if anything, we should be the ones apologizing for the pain we put you through," Grand Elder Xylarae said, wearing a smile on her face.
This time, instead of bringing them into a room, Klaus brought them to a garden built inside the Demon Bead.
Just like he had done with General Lythariel, he intended to apologize to the two ladies whose past he had ruined, or at least that was the narrative back then.
Now, it appeared that while taking their innocence under the intoxicating effects of an aphrodisiac was bad, he had saved their lives in return.
They didn’t want him to apologize, but Klaus went ahead and did anyway.
"Still, I am sorry for taking something so precious from you without mutual understanding."
"It is all in the past, Lord Asura. Plus, your queen had already brutally killed that bitch, so there is nothing to regret," Princess Threnody said, and Grand Elder Xylarae nodded.
Seeing this, Klaus smiled too.
Indeed, when the truth came out, Queenie, who saw how severely mistaken she had been for doubting her husband, ventured into the demon universe and committed a massacre, one that the succubus race would never forget.
"Thank you, ladies. I have already met General Lythariel and helped her break the curse the Heavens had put on your bloodlines. I will be doing the same for you, too."
They had no problem with that.
It was because of this curse that Grand Elder Xylarae failed to become a Celestial. Since they had already broken out of the cage the Heavens had made for them during the Blood Era, the heavens wouldn’t let them slip away this time either.
Too bad Klaus had no intention of letting the Heavens win a second time.
He produced two drops of his blood and handed them over. He then explained some of the benefits associated with this blood and even told them what General Lythariel had requested of him.
To his shock, the two ladies smiled and made the same request.
"It is only right for you to take responsibility, Lord Asura."
Klaus just smiled and said nothing. He had nothing to say since he had already accepted their proposal. If, after everything that had happened, they chose to be with him, then he had nothing to complain about.
"You can stay here and cultivate. Once you’re done, you will be able to leave by yourselves."
They chose to stay, and so Klaus left, returning to the garden where his Uncle Monk was seated, waiting for him.
Soon, Klaus was seated across from him.
"You have come a long way, Fruity... or do you prefer I call you Klaus instead?"
"However you want to call me, Uncle Monk."
In the end, Uncle Monk chose to call him Klaus. This was so that, regardless of where they were, he wouldn’t accidentally call him by a different name.
He understood that Klaus intended to keep his Paragon nature separate from now on, so he wouldn’t be the one to draw attention to that side of his life.
Soon, they started diving back into the past, reminiscing about what had happened to them after they parted ways.
Klaus learned that 570 of his Uncle Monks had made it out alive, meaning 430 had died during the attack on the monastery. That battle was one of his greatest defeats.
It pained him deeply, leading him to annihilate the Ice Empire and a few Empires. However, he knew the dead Uncle Monks had reincarnated.
He had already reunited with one of them back on Earth, so his pain had been somewhat eased. Of course, the day he would find all of his reincarnated Uncle Monks, he would be extremely happy.
But those who had survived had thrived and made names for themselves.
According to his Uncle Monk, only one of them had yet to become a god—the one they had left in the ice world to convey the message from the Asura Race to Klaus and his wives.
But the remaining 569 had already become powerful warriors. They had all become Celestials before the end of the Shadow Era.
However, according to him, they met the Paragon of Shadows (Klaus’s fifth incarnation), who told them not to interfere in any of his lives unless he personally came to them.
They hated the idea but trusted his judgment, and so, in the middle of the Paragon of Death’s era, they ventured out to explore the outer layers of the Universe Ocean (Primordial/Primal Chaos).
By the time they returned, the Paragon of Death was no more, and the next Paragon hadn’t returned yet. He had already become the guardian of the Elves since he had awakened an Elven Bloodline.
So after they got back from the Universe Ocean, he returned to being a guardian and has remained there ever since.
As for the rest of the Uncle Monks, most had ventured into ancient ruins, some were exploring the universe, while the rest were on the Ancient Battlefield, making sure the universe remained protected.
"So how strong are you right now?" Klaus asked, his eyes sparkling since even Icon had informed him she could not gauge his Uncle Monk’s strength.
Uncle Monk smiled and replied, "Wouldn’t you want to know?"
Klaus laughed. "I do. After all, there is a chance that in the coming days, the universe will be put in danger by the Celestial Supreme and his ambitions. Knowing your strength would help me know how far I can go in provoking him."
Uncle Monk shook his head, knowing the Renegade Monk before him was surely a bag of trouble.
"Is the issue with the Celestial Supreme something I should be worried about?" Instead of answering Klaus’s question, he asked one of his own.
Klaus shook his head and answered, "No, at least not yet. However, I believe the one responsible for the Heavens going against me will try to descend into this universe, and the Celestial Supreme wants me to become one of his vessels."
"That sounds like danger to me," Uncle Monk said, but Klaus just smiled.
"It is indeed dangerous, but I won’t be the one in danger. I have prepared for this moment for several eras, so rest assured, I will be fine. However, when the day comes, try your best to convince the Elven Empress to see reason.
I have proof that this person’s arrival will be accompanied by three catastrophic events that can only be avoided if we band together. At the very least, even if they won’t support me, they shouldn’t support the Celestial Supreme either.
I will do my best to convince more people. But for now, know that the universe is in danger, and the spark that will light the flames is only days away."
"I trust you, Klaus, so rest assured, I will do my best to help you. However, you should be careful yourself. I have traveled the Universe Ocean and have seen things that made the threats within this universe seem like child’s play.
So be careful, and don’t worry. The Empress already has her doubts about the Celestial Supreme, so she wouldn’t blindly side with him. With me here, she wouldn’t fear even a Primordial."
Klaus nodded, and then a smile formed on his face. "So you have already become a Primordial, huh?"
Uncle Monk just smiled and said nothing. But Klaus knew that was the case, something that made him wonder if his other Uncle Monks had also become Primordials.
