Yu Zexiao and Jian Anning successfully registered their marriage, sharing a tender moment filled with joyful endearments. Their families have gathered, and the newlywed couple heads home to celebrate.

Jian Anning was just past three months pregnant, yet her abdomen already resembled that of someone five months along.

Because this child was so difficult to conceive, the entire family showered it with affection. Moreover, Jian Anning’s constitution wasn’t as robust as a typical woman's, and the initial three months of her pregnancy were fraught with anxiety, as nearly everything she consumed triggered severe nausea.

There were times when even a simple bowl of thin porridge would make her feel faint and unwell. Within mere minutes of eating, her stomach would rebel, forcing her to rush to the restroom and endure bouts of vomiting until she felt completely empty.

While pregnancy sickness usually subsides between the first and second months, Jian Anning suffered intensely from the very beginning until the three-month stabilization mark. Her prominent belly wasn’t a result of overeating; quite the contrary, she was practically starved into this state. Her body was markedly thin, with only her belly swelling normally, making it appear disproportionately large.

Yu Zexiao couldn't help but fret each time he observed her frail condition. They had eagerly anticipated this child with immense longing, only to be burdened with a little troublemaker!

That evening, after Jian Anning miraculously managed to finish a bowl of thin porridge without incident, Yu Zexiao instinctively held her close. He caressed her slightly protruding belly with his large hand, speaking with feigned sternness, "You little brat, if you misbehave when you're older, I'll give your backside a good spanking! Acting so picky with food already, let’s see how you manage later!"

"Who threatens their own child like that?" Jian Anning, who had been feeling quite unwell, couldn’t suppress a smile at Yu Zexiao's playful threats.

"Why not? Look at how this little rascal is giving you such a hard time." Yu Zexiao discontentedly stroked her arm. Due to three months of inadequate nourishment, she was so gaunt that her ribs were nearly visible. Her thinness had made her eyes appear larger, and compared to her former healthy appearance, she now possessed a delicate, almost 'sickly beauty'.

"I’ve heard it’s common like this when carrying a boy. The little one is a bit mischievous, but he'll be strong once born." Perhaps all parents harbor numerous aspirations for their unborn child—wishing for success, for this and that. Ultimately, however, the most genuine hope is simply for the child's health and safety.

"Forget it, I just pray this little guy behaves a bit better in the future!"

Yu Zexiao once again playfully shook his small fist towards her stomach. Little did he know that this child would indeed grow up to be precisely as he imagined—rebellious and a constant sparring partner.

Of course, their interactions would mainly consist of arguments.

"After this one, I don't want any more," Yu Zexiao declared, shaking his head in refusal. He had initially thought having a child would simply mean a bit more liveliness, not this utterly exhausting ordeal.

"What are you saying? As long as we can raise them, we can have as many as we wish." Jian Anning, however, felt that a single child would be too lonely. In the future, if they were out fighting, they wouldn’t have the confidence of backup. But if they had a line of siblings, whoever bullied them would have siblings to call upon for assistance!

Unity truly brings strength!

"Really... unsatisfying," Yu Zexiao murmured, gently kissing her cheek. His lips lingered on hers, a hint of reluctance in the embrace.

"Three months already..." he hinted, glancing at her flowing robe. It was generally accepted that between three and six months, some degree of intimacy was moderately permissible. But what if this unruly little one decided to disturb them during their affection?
