The King’s Enchanting Chapter 1751 - 1765: Marriage (Part 4)

Later, when the reporters discovered Yu Zexiao was in a quiet room nearby, their frustration was so immense it nearly made them choke on their own words. But that, as they say, is a tale for another time.
"What if you were to pull a stunt like this on me in the future?" Jian Anning inquired softly, standing beside him.
Yu Zexiao pondered for a moment before chuckling, "It's simple. I'd designate you as the sole beneficiary of all my assets. If we were to divorce, I'd be so destitute I wouldn't even have pants to wear. Then, divorce would be impossible."
This was, of course, merely a jest. Even if Yu Zexiao were to transfer all his wealth to Jian Anning, given his standing, he could easily reclaim it within a few years. Nevertheless, his words resonated deeply with the onlookers. Nearby women turned to their husbands, exclaiming, "You scoundrel, you didn't even put my name on the house!"
"The house was purchased with my earnings; why should I hand it over to you?"
"But I funded the renovations! I even bought a car! I'm not getting married anymore!"
Amidst the background din of escalating arguments, it was finally Yu Zexiao and Jian Anning's turn to complete their registration. As they presented their identification, the staff members behind the counter's eyes widened, and one nervously inquired, "Mr. Yu Zexiao, are you entering this marriage willingly with her?"
Yu Zexiao responded with a beaming smile, "Absolutely."
The staff then turned to Jian Anning, "Miss Ma Yiyi, are you entering this marriage willingly with him?"
The couple shared a knowing smile before she firmly nodded.
With a decisive "Thump," a vibrant red stamp was pressed onto the marriage certificate. Another stamp followed, and soon two marriage certificates, each bearing two bright red seals, were in their possession, formally declaring them an unshakeable marital union.
"Anning!" Yu Zexiao couldn't contain his elation and instinctively moved to lift her. However, his gaze fell upon her waist, and remembering the child within her belly, he reined in his impulse. But as he held back, she leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on his lips, softly murmuring, "Husband."
"What did you call me?" Yu Zexiao's heart soared; he felt more jubilant than if he had won a grand prize!
While they had addressed each other this way before, they hadn't been officially married. Now, everything was different. This little red book in hand felt like an invisible crimson thread, inextricably binding their hearts together!
"Husband, husband, husband..." she repeated, her words escalating Yu Zexiao's feelings from tender warmth to ecstatic delight and a lingering sense of bliss.
Emotions are a private matter between two individuals. If he were like Jiang Xuanqi, creating grand spectacles for both marriage and divorce, even resorting to public performances to stir controversy—what would be the true value in that?
Beside them, the assembled onlookers erupted in cheers.
As the couple conversed, Yu Zexiao's phone rang. Answering it, he found Shen Lanxiao on the line. "Xingxing, have you and Anning finished? Aunt Qiu's family heard about your wedding plans and are already on their way. Our family awaits your return."
With her, with the infant growing within her, with their shared family life unfolding—what greater happiness could there be!
He smiled and nodded, "Honey, Dad, Mom, Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Qiu's family have all arrived. Let's head home."
He clasped her hand tightly, their fingers entwined.
"Yes, let's go home together."
Outside, the sunlight streamed down brilliantly.
