The Invincible Full-Moon System Chapter 1810: Monstrous Awareness in Anarchy

Previously on The Invincible Full-Moon System...
Rex confronted the White Mask within the Black Rift, offering the Crown Embryo in exchange for aid in destroying an empire. The monarch agreed, granting Rex temporary Voidal Prince powers through his Sable Physique, transforming his Matter of Monarch into the Monarch of Savage Darkness and enhancing his abilities without altering his nature. Riding a massive serpent summoned by the White Mask, Rex ascended skyward to provoke a clash between the empire and the Skillian Divine Court, unleashing chaos as Black Rain fell and Emperor Dominar mobilized in desperate pursuit. Amid the collapsing palace, Althea freed herself and aided her allies, while Princess Davina witnessed the cataclysmic ascent from afar.

The upper barrier of the royal bubble obstructed their path.

Following the White Mask's orders, the serpent lifted its head, flipping Rex inverted.

A dense orb of power built up in its jaws before it fired ahead.

Boom—!

That single strike ripped open a breach in the royal bubble. It wasn't huge, yet sufficient for the serpent to slip through. The tear began mending, but the serpent had already escaped into the open. Immediately after, twin surges of voidal energy blasted out.

A thick cluster of white mist formed to intercept the rays.

However, empowered by the Crown Embryo, the White Mask's voidal force overwhelmed the barrier.

Boom—!

A deafening blast echoed.

With that, the Black Rain descended.

<Notice: the user is under the effect of the Black Rain’s blessing!>

<All stats are increased moderately, and regeneration effects are significantly amplified!>

<Notice: the user’s berserk stat has reached 90%!>

<92%...!>

<98%...!>

<100%!>

<Notice: the user is overwhelmed with bloodlust.>

Rex burst into wild laughter.

Never before had he experienced such exhilaration.

The Blood Moon's blessing nourished each cell throughout his frame. The Black Rain awakened a hidden urge within him. Surging rage heated his form comfortably, compelling him to release it via manic chuckles.

This rush surpassed any sensation he'd known.

Beyond the clouds, twelve cannon barrels etched with arcane symbols appeared.

Warning alarms blared from Rex's every sense.

"Halt this now!!" Emperor Dominar's stifled cry came from below. "We can negotiate!" His voice strained from yelling so fiercely—but the sight of those weapons filled him with dread. "Those are Sky Watchers! Their full salvo might cripple a Voidal Monarch! You won't make it out alive!"

"The defeated always love to negotiate," Rex bellowed with rough amusement. He flipped off the emperor, "Try to grab me if you're able, bastard!" His eyes shifted to the cannons and the Sky People. A few caught the disturbance and approached to investigate.

Differing from ordinary Spirits, these towered larger with elemental sparks dancing over their bodies.

Some sparked with bolts of lightning. Others oozed molten rock. A few shone brightly like solar flares.

"I am Rex Silverstar, knight of the Haeltara Empire!" Rex declared with boundless joy. With their focus captured, he could ignite the empire's downfall. "I've come to reclaim a vital figure from the empire, stolen by you wretched folk!"

"Return him now!" His shout boomed while bolts of lightning crackled.

Emperor Dominar's eyes widened in shock at the words.

He was stunned by Rex's audacity in defaming the empire so boldly.

Moments later, the skies retaliated.

Not via thunderbolts, but a collective, ground-shaking snap. Resembling a fusion of twelve lightning crashes. From the heavenly fleet—blasts of devastating azure raced out. The sheer force made the atmosphere quiver.

For one brief, halted instant, the whole heavens blazed in merciless blue radiance.

Within that harsh, unshadowed glow, Rex and the serpent's outlines aligned exactly in the beams' trajectory. A dark mask appeared on Rex's face as he clutched the serpent tighter, prepared to seize control.

Rex invoked the Minor Law of Foresight.

With Nivellen safe, he wasted no time deploying this ability.

His gaze ignited with a jet-black spark.

From every approaching beam's front, a streak of flawless dark shadow extended forward, mapping its destined route across the sky like a scripted fate of doom. Rex perceived them fully—the ominous web of his destruction, sketched in darkness prior to the light's arrival.

He grinned. How thrilling.

Using his lightning-quick reactions, he twisted the serpent into a smooth, fierce maneuver.

The serpent veered leftward, then rightward, dodging in a rapid zigzag.

The rays howled by.

So near that their scorching heat brushed his flesh and the sharp ozone bit his breath.

Yet none of that lethal glow grazed them.

In that way, the initial barrage was dodged.

"That's your best shot?!" Rex extended an arm outward, mocking the heavens. "I'm just warming up!!"

"RAARGH!!"

A roar erupted from beneath.

Rex looked back—and spotted Emperor Dominar's body shuddering in green light. Below, the city crumbled while he called forth a field of enchanted, eternal-green flora. This was the true weapon cache of the Spirit Emperor.

Building-sized flora whipped forward. Scores of spiked tendrils surged like ebony timber limbs.

Sunflowers unfurled and unleashed pulses of vital force.

After handling the Sky Watchers' assault, Rex lacked moments to respond.

This dual assault might surpass even his extraordinarily swift responses.

Roar—!

A feral bellow ripped from the White Mask's core.

Its strength swelled, gathering around the massive serpent to create a shielding orb of glossy, see-through darkness. Next, from that void's exterior, countless—perhaps thousands—Voidal Pawns and Knights burst free. Instead of charging, they stacked atop each other, interlocking their shapes into a thick, animated extra barrier safeguarding their rear.

A barrier of meat and nothingness took shape.

Rays pounded the barriers while the serpent concentrated on bolstering itself to withstand.

Rex's red eyes glanced upward at the cannons.

Each was reloading for a fresh onslaught, certain to obliterate them.

His primal senses warned he must halt one threat.

Boom—!

Boom—!

The lower rays struck first, battering the meaty shield.

Dozens of Voidal Pawns—and Knights perished per hit, yet fresh ones emerged from the shadows, filling the gaps of the slain. Sacrificing his offspring's forms was a cruel tactic—from the White Mask—but incredibly potent.

Still, it couldn't endure indefinitely.

Emperor Dominar recognized this and unleashed beam after beam.

Meanwhile, the ebony timber tendrils chased fiercely, drawing nearer.

Although he sensed Rex couldn't maintain this endlessly, the unyielding push baffled him. The harm was inflicted—he'd effectively pitted the Sky People versus the empire, a divide words could scarcely mend.

Rex ought to have launched a final blow and fled to security.

Yet he continued ascending.

'Could he truly have means to contact the Sky People...?' Emperor Dominar swallowed hard. 'Impossible. No chance.'

Swoosh—!

Emperor Dominar blinked, sharpening his focus as Rex rocketed from the meaty barrier.

On reflex, he directed the ebony timber tendrils to seize Rex.

Right then, Rex thrust his palms out, birthing a enormous red orb from them.

It resembled a duplicate blood moon.

His Blood Moon Echo pulsed with vital power to conjure this red orb. The White Mask poured voidal force into it, charging it with absurd levels of might. Space around the orb's borders even fractured.

Beyond the orb lay what appeared as a bloody ocean.

"Blood Moon Genesis: Ravenous Maw of Magna!!"

ROAR—!

A colossal wolf beast's skull burst from the red ocean, jaws stretched wide. Its scale blotted the sky—from Emperor Dominar's view. Flames of voidal force licked its hide, exerting force even on the emperor.

All was tinted in blends of red, violet, and green.

Time stretched, prolonging that instant into endless duration.

Emperor Dominar's frame tensed like hammered steel. His elegant features twisted in frenzy as the Soul Artifact encircling his digits quivered fiercely. Not from weakness, but exertion, while he channeled floods of vital power into his strikes.

Unrefined might scorched his Spiritual Veins akin to molten bolts.

An overwhelming force pressed upon him, an unbearable burden from Rex's Echo Genesis.

He outclassed Rex by far. He could squash Rex effortlessly. This defied reason.

This direct clash would end in the emperor's victory.

"USURPER!!"

BOOM!

The world trembled as the ebony timber tendrils smashed into Magna.

Light erupted first, a voracious, multicolored blast engulfing the skies. It submerged all in dazzling torrents of hues. Followed by a pause in one hanging beat before the noise hit. It slammed like the grandest thunderclap rattling the planet's core.

A blast wave tore outward in a flawless, widening circle of raw ruin.

The soil fragmented like brittle panes. Distant mountain chains pulverized, summits evaporated completely, bases torn asunder. The terrain split in a network of chasms delving into the depths.

Life faced no mercy either.

Whether voidal beasts or humans. Whether escaping or resisting. Everything vanished.

Across miles everywhere, only powdery dust lingered, carried by a raging gale of sheer might, with remnants washed away by the Black Rain. Emperor Dominar's gaze stayed locked skyward.

Despite the searing brightness, he held firm and alert.

A streak of vapor shot from the haze like a streak.

It outpaced the velocity at which Emperor Dominar whipped his head.

Rex burst forth with a wicked smirk—his form twisting in flight. He appeared unscathed. Or rather, any injuries from the clash had mended instantly. This sudden dash arose from his Voidal Moonflow Acceleration.

The Red Dawn of Kaiser vibrated with energy.

With an upward punch motion, Rex's eyes flared in crimson, dazzling brilliance.

Emperor Dominar prepared for Rex's follow-up strike. Though he'd never witnessed Rex in combat, his vast eras of warfare intuition signaled the threat. He lifted his limbs into a solid defense. But instead arrived the searing white flash that burned away his sight.

His thoughts pulsed with agony.

Foreign fury surged within him like a bursting caldera.

During that instant of sightlessness, reality faded.

When vision restored, response came too late.

A scarlet curve had struck—a devastating blow to his left flank that twisted his body aside amid snaps of plating and bone-crunch. He heard Rex's frenzied cackles as he rotated and dropped.

"How long has it been, Dominar?!"

Emperor Dominar caught Rex's echoing taunt amid his whirling view.

He plummeted, propelled by inertia.

"How long since you've sensed demise and ruin so near?! Even after endless ages, so what? You've wasted them ruling. All that reigning... It's dulled you!"

Bang—!

Spit sprayed from Emperor Dominar's lips as a golden ring bashed his side.

It hit squarely on his kidney, making his form buckle.

In that instant, Emperor Dominar realized: Rex's perception was utterly savage.

Within one seamless, crushing moment, Rex unleashed a three-tiered barrage.

To begin, he utilized the Voidal Moonflow Acceleration to erupt from the vapor shroud. He also hurled the Aegis of Moon Sentinel at the final moment while capturing the emperor's attention. Before Emperor Dominar could adjust, the psychic hit connected.

He deployed the Weaver of Madness.

A technique dependent on the gap between his mental attribute and the foe's.

In the Spirit Realm, the measure used spiritual values.

Typically, it would fail. Yet aided by the White Mask, his spiritual values expanded—approaching the emperor's level. This allowed the surge of mental turmoil to flood Dominar's psyche, disrupting his concentration for a vital moment.

That moment sufficed for Inevitable Death.

A curve of packed power formed and slashed, sinking profoundly.

To cap it, the tossed Aegis of Moon Sentinel collided with the emperor.

Four actions. Dual directions. Single heartbeat.

'What endless fights honed such sharpness?! Against whom does he battle?!' Emperor Dominar stared at Rex in total astonishment. 'What existence has he endured until now?!'
