Apollo apologizes to Rickon for his rudeness. Apollo then explains his unusual upbringing to Elaine and Hailey, who confess her love for him. Dickon causes a scene before Apollo is called away by a Praetorian named Thespius. Thespius informs Apollo that his armor, left in a nearby room, unexpectedly activated its minigun. Phoebe then arrived and delayed others, followed by Rhapso and Nerissa, who threatened violence to protect Apollo's armor. Thespius, concerned by his sisters' unusual behavior, questions Apollo about coercing them. Apollo's reaction reassures Thespius that his sisters are simply fond of him, and he asks Apollo to look after them when he goes to the Coalition.
