Evan concludes his intimate session with Emma, earning him 'Good Boy' points and a 'Big-Hearted' reputation. Later, he finds Nala working late to combat negative online sentiment against her company, relying on Carrie and her followers for damage control. The next morning, Evan wakes up to find Nala and Jasmine still groggy from their late night.

I propped myself up on my elbows and watched her go. Damn, she was beautiful even like this, messy morning hair, soft pink panties, and a loose t-shirt that had slipped off one shoulder, leaving it bare. There was something especially attractive about the way she looked right after waking up: a little sleepy, a little disheveled, and completely natural. Man... waking up next to a woman like that every morning. Lucky guy, huh?

She disappeared into the bathroom and shut the door. I let myself fall back onto the bed, then turned my head toward Nala. She was still trying to sleep, lying on her side with her ass toward me. She was wearing tight black hotpants and a simple tank top with no bra, I could clearly see the outline of her nipples through the thin fabric. Her dark skin looked smooth and warm in the soft morning light, the curve of her hip and the soft swell of her thighs making her look especially inviting.

With a small smile, I got closer and hugged her from behind. She let out a sleepy little groan and instinctively pushed her ass back against my crotch.

"You get more beautiful every morning I wake up, CEO," I whispered, kissing her ear.

She chuckled softly. "It’s that gym app. I’m telling you, Evan. It helps a lot."

"Or you’re just a beautiful girl, Nala. Take a compliment, sheesh."

"Or that, sure," she said with a small smile. "What time is it?"

"Seven-thirty," I answered. "Gotta be at work in an hour."

"Okay..." She opened her eyes and yawned once more. "Like she said. Work doesn’t wait, Mr. Assistant. Work doesn’t wait."

"Yes, Ma’am."

We both got up from the bed, practically dragging ourselves upright. Once we were standing, I walked over to the curtains and pulled them open. Snow. When I’d gone to bed it had only been lightly raining, but now the streets were covered in white, and the wind was gusting harder than it had all week.

"Snow," Nala said, coming up beside me. "Finally. It’s like this city can’t decide if it’s still summer or New Year’s Eve."

"Yeah," I replied. "It’s part of her charm, though."

"Charm? Having indecisive weather isn’t a charm, Evan. Not at all."

"Eh... you’re right. I was trying to look at things positively." I glanced at her. "What a sad little creature you are, Ms. CEO."

"Yeah. Me. I’m the sad little creature," she chuckled, pulling her tank top off over her head. "Says the guy who used to work at a gas station and listen to old drunk men blabber while they tried to find their wallets to pay for their beer."

"That... was strangely specific," I said. "And it used to happen all the time. Are you a psychic, Nala?"

"No. Just a sad CEO." She stretched. "God, I need a shower... and my back... ouch."

"Come here."

Nala stepped forward, pausing just in front of me, her back turned toward me. My hands slid past her waist, smoothing up her sides before settling onto her bare shoulders. The warmth of her skin under my palms was an immediate anchor, pulling me completely into the moment.

"You feel tense," I murmured, my thumbs digging into the tight knots at the base of her neck.

She tilted her head forward with a soft sigh, letting her weight melt back against my chest. "It’s been a long week," she whispered, her voice dropping an octave as my hands drifted lower, tracing the firm line of her spine and pressing into the muscles of her lower back.

Without a bra, every shift of her body brought her soft weight flush against me. I leaned in, trailing my lips down the curve of her neck to the sensitive spot where her shoulder met her collarbone. A quiet breath caught in her throat, and she arched slightly into the touch, inviting me closer.

"Like it?" I asked against her skin, my hands wrapping around her ribs to cup the full weight of her breasts.

Nala’s hands gripped my wrists, fingers digging in as my thumbs brushed heavily across her hardened nipples. She let out a low, trembling moan, her hips shifting restlessly against the hard press of my erection resting right against her. I kneaded her breasts slowly, feeling her pulse spike against my palms as her breathing turned shallow and ragged.

Just as my lips pressed a hot, lingering kiss into the crook of her shoulder, a jarring chime shattered the quiet.

My phone rang on the nightstand. With a soft groan I dropped back onto the bed, reached for it, then sat up again. The name on the screen was Melvin. Of course he’d call this early without checking the time.

I cleared my throat and answered. "Melvin? Do you know what time it is, man?"

"Today! It’s happening today. She shared it on her social media," he chirped. "After work. Six o’clock. You have to come with me. Have to, Evan."

"Happening what?"

"The thing I told you about! The party?" he said. "At Stingy Ladies. You’ll come, right?"

"I dunno, man. I’ve got some work to do."

"Please!"

I exhaled and walked back over to the window, watching the snow fall. "Sure. Okay, fine."

"Alright, thank you! Thank you!" he said happily. "We can go there after work in your car."

"Right... bye, Melvin."

"I love you, man. I love you!"

I hung up and let out another breath. When I turned around, Nala had already put on a pencil skirt and a white blouse. She was standing in front of the mirror, putting on her earrings while checking her reflection. Once she realized I’d finished the call, she met my eyes through the mirror and smiled.

"Melvin, right?" she asked. "What did he want?"

"He wants me to go to a party with him," I said, walking over to her. "There’s this girl who works at Stingy Ladies. Isabella. He’s crazy about her, and they’re pretty much complete opposites."

"Oh yeah, you told me about that," she said. "Poor guy. Do you think he has zero chances?"

"Zero? No, no. Melvin’s a good guy," I replied. "If he wanted to, I’m sure he could find someone else. He’s just... really focused on Isabella right now."

"Love is in the air, Mr. Assistant," she said with a smile.

I stepped up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist, resting my chin on her shoulder while she put on her second earring.

"Yeah," I muttered. "Love is in the air."
