After leaving a room filled with rock creatures, the protagonist enters a new area resembling an alien world with floating islands in the sky. The air composition is unusual, containing elements unknown to him. He explores an island, observing gas-filled creatures that seem to migrate between islands. Finding no signs of intelligence, he searches the island for any hidden passages but finds none, turning his attention to the other islands in the sky.

"Is there really nothing but these strange creatures and plants?"

I had already gone to four different islands and the only things that I had been able to find were these simple creatures and plans. It was as if this was the only thing that was in this world with how it was the only thing that I was able to find.

However, that was also the strange thing about this place.

"Why would there be so many of the same things on four different islands? I’d understand if it was just one or two, but it’s strange that the four islands all have the same layout."

When things were like this, it really felt like there was some kind of external force that was controlling these islands to make things appear like this.

But to control the islands to this extent, it really felt like it was a bit too much.

"If they’re capable of all of this, then they might as well be the creator of the world."

In the end, there was a part of me that was a bit disappointed to find that this wasn’t the case.

When I arrived on the fifth island, I found that there was something different.

"There’s only a few different things here, but there are at least a few new things that are in this place as well. Only why are they bigger than the other creatures that live in this place?"

As I observed these new creatures, I wasn’t able to figure out why this was the case.

The only thing that I was able to find out about these creatures was that they had more gas inside of them.

As for what that gas was for, I had no idea at all.

Other than that, I found that there were also a few plants that were bigger than the other plants that I had seen previously. Though that was because they were grown versions of the plants that I had encountered previously.

I didn’t know what it was about this place that made them grow bigger, especially since the environment was the same as before. However, it did seem like there was something that made these plants grow bigger.

"If I go further in, will there be even bigger things?"

It really felt strange that this was how development was measured.

If something was bigger, then it meant that it was more developed than the other things.

So how big would they get if they were to fully develop?

It really was hard to imagine how big these things would become in the end.

But I was right about it being an indication of their growth as they became bigger and bigger with each island that I passed. It seemed that whatever those first few islands had, it just wasn’t enough to let these things grow.

Only when I reached the very inner parts of this room were there enough of the nutrients that were needed by these plants and animals to truly reach their full size.

It was just that there didn’t seem to be anything special about them.

They still moved the same way as the ones that I had seen previously.

None of them really changed up their patterns at all, it even seemed like they were following some kind of strict rule with how they moved.

I tried following the animals as they moved to see if it was possible to find what they were after, but there wasn’t anything that was there. It didn’t seem like they ate anything special or even breathed in special air that allowed them to grow more.

The only thing that seemed possible was, "Are they absorbing some kind of special energy?"

It was like how humans in my past life couldn’t feel things like mana.

Perhaps there was a kind of energy that was unique to this world that outsiders couldn’t sense at all and that was the thing that was allowing these plants and animals to grow.

As I racked my brain trying to find anything that would give me an idea of what this world was.

But it turned out that I had been going about this wrong.

It was a special form of energy that I couldn’t sense, but it wasn’t something that I had expected to see.

When I focused on the giant animals in front of me, I found that there was something strange about them. At first I had thought that this movement inside of them was just their natural body processes at work.

But then I realized that this wasn’t the case.

It was only after I looked closely at these things that I found that there was some kind of creature that was moving inside of them. The way that they moved was almost as if they were parasites living inside of these animals.

Only they didn’t move the way that parasites might.

"They’re moving with purpose, they’re moving with thought. It’s almost as if they’re being controlled by something...or that they’re in control of themselves."

It really was a shock seeing this, but I was slowly figuring something out by seeing these things moving inside of these animals.

"This is just how they survive. I don’t know how this world has developed, but this is just how they survive. Though it is strange that they have to parasite off other creatures like this just to survive."

I wasn’t looking down at the things that were acting as parasites inside of these animals.

In fact, I was amazed by how they had developed.

That was because they didn’t just parasite the animals alone.

There was a reason why the plants had gotten bigger as well and it was the same reason as the animals. It was all because there were the same parasites inside of the plants as well.

There was a different type of movement that came from the plants because the structure was different, but there was no doubt that there were parasites in them as well.
