The invaders breach Alec’s outer defenses, leading to clashes between high-ranking heroes and Paladin generals. Meanwhile, David and the Holy Grail academy lords advance toward the city’s heart, admiring the architecture. David wants to destroy the city, but the others refuse. Suddenly, the Hive Queen appears, revealing she is one of Alec’s golems and intent on stalling them. She incapacitates most of the lords with webbing, but Julian manages to break free and engage her. While they fight, David, realizing Alec is nearing a breakthrough, uses his spatial magic to break free of the webs. Just as David prepares to attack, Alec’s voice booms from the throne hall, signaling he has completed his breakthrough and is ready to face them.

A colossal purple aura erupted in the center of the sky as Alec spoke, instantly causing the surrounding gravitational force to intensify exponentially.

The lords of the Holy Grail Academy struggled severely against the crushing pressure that had descended against them.

Had Julian not shielded them from the front, the immense force would have been strong enough to hurl them straight out of the sky and slamming them into the ground below.

Shock washed over their faces as they gaped at the terrifying spectacle before them. Before their eyes, the purple aura congealed and took the shape of a massive hand. At its center swirled a vortex that appeared to suppress all spatial activity within its reach, completely shutting down the portal David had opened.

No matter how many times David attempted to traverse the space gate, he was repeatedly pulled back to his exact starting point, although he knew Jake was not employing the time reversal spell on him, however he believed that the phenomenon happening operated on a similar principle, and the realization terrified him.

It took a while for him to calm down and when he did, David began experimenting with his hand until he seemed to uncover something that brought a sudden laugh to his lips.

On the sidelines, the Holy Grail Academy city lords stood utterly bewildered, David Tudor, whom they had completely dismissed as an unimportant person, had suddenly unleashed a staggering Tier 8 mage aura.

They had written him off as merely a fallen Tudor clansman who had lost his city, assuming he was weak simply because Liam was the one who introduced him to them that he would be going in his place when they attacked, and because they didn’t think much about him they didn’t bother asking him his realm and they have remained entirely ignorant of his true cultivation realm.

However, now seeing someone possessing such a vast gap in power to them frantically trying to flee forced a grim realization upon them, that the threat posed by Alec was far beyond anything they were equipped to handle, even if he had just entered the same realm as them .

“Julian, nothing has gone our way since we arrived here. I say we scatter and escape,” Michael urged, but Julian only offered a wry smile in response.

“I’ve been trying to activate the space stone in my possession since that hand appeared, but that giant hand in the sky appears to be imposing a spatial restriction on us too, our only chance of escape is to get beyond its range. Still, there’s another issue at hand, if a Tier 8 spatial mage like David can’t break free from its constraints and flee, it’s obvious we can’t simply walk away from here,” Julian explained, laying out their grim reality.

Hearing they were trapped in a state of imprisonment, the already crestfallen expressions of the group sank even further.

“What’s so funny?” Alec’s voice echoed once more addressing David who was laughing wildly. Though he still remained out of sight, however,David and the lords of the Holy Grail Academy heard him as distinctly as if he were standing directly beside them.

Only David kept his gaze locked straight ahead at the palace complex, whose low stone-like walls were embellished with strange, exotic minerals.

As standing prominently in the front center was a statue of Alec, and directly behind it stood statues of his primary golems; though one seems to remain in the midst of being reforged, its obscured facial features made exact identification difficult, yet the outline of its form clearly suggested it was the Hive Queen that had intercepted them.

“I’m laughing because I’ve finally found a loophole in your gravity pull,” David said, his expression twisting into a wildly maniacal grin.

“While it locks down space and prevents anyone inside from escaping as long as it remains active, it also means people from the outside can enter.”

“And?” Alec’s voice echoed.

“It means I can summon anyone I want straight to this location to kill you, since you’re also locked inside this space with us” David explained.

“You may have gained a boost from your breakthrough, but the truth of the matter is that you’re still weak, and I’m certain that’s the real reason you refuse to show your face.”

“You’re hiding because you don’t want us to witness your pathetic state, but if you believe stalling will save you, think again, because the moment I end your life, the hold of this Gravity Hand will vanish along with you.” David declared, throwing a hand over half his face as manic laughter burst from his throat.

“You’ve talked at length about my magic, yet one simple question remains unanswered: how exactly do you intend to kill me?” Alec responded evenly.

CLANGGG!!!!

The heavy palace doors swung wide as the words ended this time, revealing Alec as he stepped into plain sight.

His hair fell considerably longer now. Intertwined with the familiar crimson tones and the dark brown accents near the ends, a striking new hue caught the light among his hair that seems to have been tangled into locks by the lightning .

A vibrant blue strand stood out sharply against his hair, and since he hadn’t bound it back this time, the locks fell freely over his forehead, partially veiling the upper half of his face.

"How can a man possess such handsomeness?" The thought crossed Julian’s mind, only for Gabriel to blurt out those exact words aloud.

"I’m waiting, show me how exactly you plan to kill me," Alec demanded, staring down at the stunned David.

David on the other hand was struggling to comprehend how Alec appeared so pristine and formidable; from everything he knew, a high-rank breakthrough was supposed to leave a mage significantly weakened.

#A few moments before the final tribulation struck...

As the last lightning bolt shattered his barrier and closed in, Alec abandoned all hope of remaining intact once the strike concluded.

Yet, something miraculous occurred, just as the lightning made contact and his consciousness wavered on the brink of blacking out, an entity manifested within his spiritual realm and began absorbing the electrical force.

That unexpected object was none other than something that had accompanied him for perhaps the longest time—his Blood Changdao.

It established a three-way drawing array alongside the lightning mark—which symbolized Alec’s newly acquired lightning affinity—and his Devourer Bloodline.

Together, all three drained a portion of the incoming lightning. As a result, Alec not only avoided losing consciousness, but he was also able to channel part of that lightning energy directly toward his innate spell fusion.

However, he temporarily paused the merging process to harness the lightning energy for forging innate spell runes for his new lightning element, carefully forming them one by one across Tiers one through six.

As he intended to fully synchronize this new element with his existing two before completing the final merge, that way they would be compatible with each other.
