The Golem Mage Chapter 1237: New Entree To The Battle [3].
Previously on The Golem Mage...
The entire throne hall shook violently as Kaelus’s army general, who is cladded in armor reminiscent of an ancient Japanese samurai, stepped inside, however even he was unable to advance any further when he saw the level of the attack being displayed, the general immediately thrust out his hand, as he was commanding the soldiers behind him to scatter before the devastating shockwaves of the battle crushed them.
Bang!
The two mages’ attacks finally collided against each other, unleashing another wave of destruction through the hall.
Though Lucas had unleashed his slashing Qi after Kaelus had already launched his cleave attack, however; when the two forces met head-on Kaelus’s attack was only able to hold out for merely a few seconds before shattering completely, allowing the residual energy of Lucas’s strike to continue surging forward toward Kaelus.
Desperate to neutralize the incoming energy of a single slash from Lucas, Kaelus swiftly unleashed three additional waves of sword Qi only until then was he finally to dissipate the force of Lucas sword, instantly he plunged his blade into the ground, leaning on it as he panted heavily.
Seeing his attack deflected so effortlessly came as a shock to Kaelus,as he came to a realization that Lucas was actually stronger than him, a revelation he had never anticipated, despite all the battles he, Aeron, and Lucas had fought side-by-side, he had never been aware that Lucas had such strength.
And he started to believe that had it not been for this conflict, he might never have discovered the true extent of Lucas’s hidden power.
A chill of fear ran through Kaelus at the thought of Lucas keeping such formidable martial prowess concealed. Ever since advancing to the Origin realm, Kaelus had experienced a surge in his cultivation speed.
Backed by the group of lords he had aligned with, he believed he had surpassed even Aeron and stood unmatched among the clansmen of his era—until this clash with Lucas who he hadn’t even placed in his eyes proved him otherwise.
“This is a fight you don’t want, believe me, I won’t just defeat you—I’ll ensure the elders hear of this. Let’s see if they still consider you worthy of being the Blade Prince after hearing that you lost again.” Lucas said, any trace of his former naive glow completely gone.
Gazing at Kaelus like a seasoned warrior, Lucas radiated an unmistakable, chilling indifference that Kaelus could feel to his core.
Without uttering another word, Lucas turned on his heel to leave, not even Kaelus’s general dared to block his path, while the surrounding mage soldiers parted quickly to let him pass.
A rare flicker of anguish crossed Lucas’s face as he departed, he had never wished to be forced into choosing between his clan and Alec, but Kaelus had pushed him too far.
Now that he had reacted, he knew there was no turning back.
He could only pray that his choice would not bring harm to his friend. In truth, Lucas had chosen Alec because he felt a genuine bond of family with him and the group, a warmth he had never experienced among his own clansmen, who were constantly locked in ruthless competition with one another.
“Aeron, he just betrayed the clan! You can’t stay neutral any longer, you have to pick a side!” shouted Kaelus, after he finally shook off the fear instilled by Lucas’s previous words. Turning to Aeron, who seemed lost in thought, he pressed on a new agenda,
“You have no right to give me orders only the elders and patriarch do and until the energy shield protecting the Five Kingdoms region collapses, they can’t order me around” Aeron declared, standing up to take his leave from Kaelus domain.
“And before you run off to spin your version of events to the elders and the Patriarch, remember that I witnessed everything that happened so do not even entertain the thought of twisting the truth about what transpired here today. Thank you so much for costing us yet another clansman on this mission we set out to accomplish.”
As Aeron walked away, Kaelus’s furious shouts and the sound of him thrashing his throne room echoed behind him, as he could clearly feel Kaelus was still reeling from the shock of losing his contest of strength against Lucas.

Meanwhile, the force assembled by Julian Soul and his faction comprised fifteen thousand mage warriors, all belonging to the Holy class.
Paladins and Templar-type warriors spearheaded the frontline, and positioned directly behind them were the Battle Priests who, despite possessing light affinity and strong self-healing capabilities, lacked the extensive group-healing powers of the Priests and Clerics who are stationed in the rear.
With such a balanced formation of Light class mages, Julian and the Lightbringer twins felt utterly confident in their ability to crush Alec’s domain.
They had initially hoped to catch his forces off guard while they were still recovering from their recent battle, as they had been expecting to inflict heavy casualties on them while they were still clearing the battlefield.
However it came as a surprise to them that Alec’s mage unit has been able to swiftly regroup.
Even so, facing an army anchored in defensive positions failed to still unsettle them.
Their conviction in securing an absolute victory over Alec’s forces remained unshakeable.
This certainty arose because Julian had verified that Alec’s two top golems were absent while he was undergoing his breakthrough.
Furthermore, despite lacking intelligence on the military unit that had been deployed atop the city walls, Julian remained confident that these warriors lacked the veteran prowess of the barbarian warriors, which are renowned as the vanguard unit that always executed Alec’s orders and watched over the domain as is police, or the deadly Amazon archers, who served as his personal assassins.
“I’ve repositioned my warriors atop the city walls for the time being, as I believe placing Unbreakable’s soldiers in such a static, elevated position would only diminish their effectiveness.” Leon explained, as Unbreakable nodded beside him.
“We’re all aware that his unit excels when maneuvering on the march; if they are kept stationary, they won’t be able to unleash their full momentum. My infantry, on the other hand, can still operate with great efficiency within the defensive perimeter.” Leon continued explaining, detailing the tactical shift to a frowning Connor.
In addition to the three commanders, Sophia and Knight were also present, although they both longed they had a strategy that could lift the main city of Alec’s Domain out of its dire predicament, yet neither of them possessed sufficient tactical expertise in this area.
Thus, they could only stand by as Alec’s three general-like subordinates worked out a resolution.
