Shock transformed the expressions of Zhan Lichuan and Du Yanzheng.

“No need. With Sanctuary under your command—even the Hess family relies on it—and AO2 backing your finances, they can’t possibly overcome you two. Triumph is just a matter of time. I’ve got no concerns left here. My investigation revealed Hawkins orchestrated those near-fatal accidents targeting you both, and Jiali knew everything, endorsing his every scheme. I trust you’ll handle them appropriately.”

“That covers all the vital details. Your parents’ gravesite is noted here too. I have just one request: bury me beside your mother, and please don’t alter it. But if it displeases you both, I won’t object.”

Noticing the profound solitude in his gaze, Zhan Lichuan assured him quickly, “Rest easy. We won’t move your resting place.”

Satisfied with Zhan Lichuan’s promise, El smiled serenely.

From his desk drawer, he retrieved a pistol and loaded it with ammunition, all while Zhan Lichuan and Du Yanzheng observed.

Pressing the barrel to his temple, he terminated the call, and a deafening ‘bang’ echoed for all three to hear!

Jinqian softly patted his back while consoling him, “The two of you are just like his children. As long as the two of you live a happy life, he would be delighted.”

Watching the pair console one another, Du Yanzheng felt a sense of emptiness.
