Thank you readers!
“The Williams residence isn’t a place where anyone can behave atrociously! We have an esteemed guest today. Punk, you’d better scram!”
The Williams guards clenched their jaws tightly, not budging even an inch.
Moments ago, orders had come from their helmsman forbidding anyone from storming the Williams residence and upsetting the honored guest.
Lucas's eyes narrowed sharply. Unwilling to argue with mere watchdogs, he launched into action without delay.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
Amid a barrage of heavy thuds, Lucas sent every Williams guard sprawling across the ground within mere seconds. They writhed there, gripping their wounds and groaning in pain.
Lucas simply strode over the fallen guards and marched directly toward the Williams’ primary villa.
Guards kept surging from all corners to intercept Lucas as he moved forward. But without exception,
A bird's-eye view from high above the Williams’ estate would reveal waves of guards charging at him relentlessly. Yet none could lay a finger on Lucas before being hurled away, crashing into nearby blooms, trees, and decorations.
Lucas pressed on steadily toward the central villa of the Williams’ manor, his steps unhurried and casual, like a relaxed saunter in a park. He appeared utterly at ease.
Inside the main villa, Rayson shared the sofa with Bradley. He prepared rare tea and placed it respectfully before Bradley on the table.
Bradley sat rigidly on the sofa, his face icy, without so much as a glance at the offering.
All of a sudden, the Williams’ butler burst in, sweat beading on his brow. He gasped, “Mr. Williams, Lucas Gray… He’s forced his way in and is heading straight here. Our entire guard force failed to hold him back!
“Lucas Gray will arrive any moment. Mr. Williams, perhaps you and your distinguished guest should seek cover briefly?”
Rayson's hand shook violently, causing the blue-and-white teacup lid to clink sharply against the cup.
“You… you couldn’t hold him off for even a few minutes?” Rayson muttered dazedly.
“Hmph!” Bradley sneered with disdain. “What a bunch of incompetents. One of DC's eight premier families can't handle a single youth! Rayson Williams, are your guards truly this pathetic?”
Rayson quickly responded, “Mr. Hills, you… you can’t pin this on me! Lucas Gray is an absolute freak. His martial arts prowess is insane, and few in DC can stand against him!”
“Oh, really?” Bradley mocked. “That just proves everyone in DC is worthless trash! I refuse to accept that a twenty-something kid can rival veterans who've honed their skills for decades. Even if he trained from the womb, that's barely two decades of practice.
“I figured the powerhouses of DC's eight top families were close to the Hills’ elites, but clearly, your lot is nothing but trash! Utterly pathetic!
“Rayson Williams, if the Williams didn’t have some cash to aid my bid for Hills’ helmsman, your dismal showing means you wouldn’t even merit my notice. Got it?”
Bradley humiliated the Williams relentlessly, offering no mercy.
Even Rayson’s thick skin couldn’t shield him from the surge of fury and resentment he felt right then.
Bradley’s words were pure rubbish. If the Williams could handle Lucas, would Rayson dread his vengeance so much that he handed over all assets to the Hills and pledged vassalage?
Had he not feared Bradley’s rebuke, Rayson wouldn’t have dispatched anyone to bar Lucas. It was futile anyway—they’d only rush to their own beatings.
Still, Rayson dared not retort to Bradley. He bowed low and fawned, “Yes, Mr. Hills, you’re absolutely correct. The Williams are worthless indeed. So I must ask your man to take care of Lucas Gray. Please assist in crushing him.
Ideally, slay him outright to end all threats!”
“Hmph, as if I need your instructions?” Bradley huffed with haughty contempt.
He then commanded the towering, muscular expert shadowing him. “Merkin, as my top fighter with combat power among the Hills family’s top five, when that Lucas Gray punk shows up, crush him decisively. Show these DC eight top family fools what real Hills power looks like!”
“Yes, Mr. Bradley!” the expert Merkin behind Bradley responded softly. He advanced two steps to position himself before Bradley, adopting a battle-ready stance at any moment.
One must admit, Merkin truly ranked as a premier powerhouse among the Hills. Simply by standing there, an overwhelming and grand aura radiated from his whole form, causing others to shiver instinctively and dare not entertain any notion of clashing with him.
Rayson involuntarily retreated two steps. His complexion drained of color as he struggled to contain the crushing pressure and terror from this formidable aura.
Merkin was truly among the top five powerhouses of the royal Hills!
Realizing such a powerhouse now backed him and was set to confront Lucas specifically, Rayson eyed Merkin with fervent intensity.
Surely a powerhouse like this could take down Lucas Gray?
Boom!
After a resounding crash, a body burst through the main villa door of the Williams. It slammed onto the ground, spewing blood.
Right then, Lucas’s tall and lean silhouette emerged before Rayson and Bradley.
Spotting Lucas instantly terrified Rayson, making his legs quake, urging him to flee on impulse. This was his automatic response upon encountering Lucas.
Yet seeing Bradley seated calmly nearby and Merkin guarding in front, Rayson gathered some boldness. He scowled and bellowed, “Lucas Gray, this is Williams property. You’ve trespassed without leave and harmed numerous people. What do you intend?”
Lucas swept his gaze over Rayson, then Bradley and Merkin. His face remained unchanged as he strolled inside casually. He claimed a spot on the opposite sofa, settled in, and remarked casually, “Mr. Williams, you’re not suffering from Alzheimer’s already, are you? You still owe me six billion dollars. Planning to withhold it?”
eption, he sent them flying.
