The fake Flame is defeated and revealed to Gu Qingheng. After a tense exchange and the presentation of a token, the fake Flame signals for backup and leads Gu Qingheng and Ming Guang down a hidden path to the Flame Sect's headquarters. Gu Qingheng meets the real Flame, who seems to recognize him and offers a tour.

Flame promptly stood, stating, "Then, please proceed."

However, Moxie and Chi She, standing beside Flame, appeared utterly shocked but remained silent.

Gu Qingheng took a step forward, only to realize with a start that Silver was nowhere in sight; however, there was no time now to search for the little companion.

Ming Guang, with no other interests, stayed closely by Gu Qingheng's side.

Flame offered no obstruction to their movement.

They exited through the rear of the hall, descended approximately ten meters of stairs, and arrived at a chamber of indeterminate function. Circling this room, a cliff face came into view, offering a clear perspective of the expanse below. Beneath lay a vast training area, encircled by tunnels, through which individuals occasionally traversed.

Gu Qingheng suddenly comprehended the immense scale of the interior, deducing that the entire mountain had been hollowed out for its construction, even incorporating wooden walkways along the cliff's precipice. The sheer magnitude of this undertaking was staggering.

"The construction alone spanned eight years," Flame remarked, seemingly sensing Gu Qingheng's astonishment as they continued their descent, "and the cost exceeded one million pieces of silver."

"Billionaire," Gu Qingheng mused, recalling a phrase frequently employed by Yang Ruxin.

Flame blinked in surprise for a moment before chuckling, "I shall take that as a compliment."

Gu Qingheng's brow lifted slightly. "Indeed, it is a compliment."

"This base is designed to accommodate one hundred thousand individuals for simultaneous training and habitation," Flame explained, guiding Gu Qingheng along the cliffside walkway. "Its extreme seclusion ensures that even the indigenous Miao people are unaware of its existence. Naturally, those who have entered have never departed."

Gu Qingheng remained silent, his mind racing. Upon entering this hidden establishment, he finally grasped the profound naivete of his prior perceptions of the Flame Sect.

"That area over there is the training ground, and the barracks lie beyond it," Flame indicated below, then gestured towards a smaller mountain to the left. "A tunnel runs beneath it, providing direct passage."

Leaning against the railing of the walkway, Gu Qingheng surveyed the numerous black-clad cult members below, a tempest brewing within his eyes.

"Of course, I surmise your greatest interest lies with those Medicinal Soldiers, does it not? They possess their own dedicated camp," Flame gestured towards the small mountain on the right. "It is situated directly within that mountain."

Following Flame along the walkway, Gu Qingheng continued downwards until they reached a bifurcation. One path led further into the depths, while the other curved towards the rear.

Flame guided Gu Qingheng along the rearward path, navigating two turns before the walkway terminated at the entrance of a cave.

Torches illuminated the cave's interior, ensuring adequate light even after entry.

Within the cave, after descending two more turns along a staircase, the corridor abruptly opened ahead, revealing the sky once more. Below this opening, however, lay another training ground populated by rows of Herbalists, the air thick with an indefinable aroma.

"These are the Medicinal Soldiers, prepared for deployment, and that is where the Alchemists craft the Herbalists," Flame pointed to the left. "Should you wish, I can escort you for a viewing." It was clarified that Medicinal Soldiers are trained Herbalists capable of following deployment orders, differentiating them from the latter.

"Certainly," Gu Qingheng agreed, his heart growing heavier, though his expression betrayed nothing of his inner turmoil, his voice remaining perfectly steady.

Flame let out a soft chuckle and then led Gu Qingheng along the walkway to the lowest level, proceeding through the tunnel passage into the mountain's core.
