"BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!"
Violent detonations shook the heart of Origin Island as three powerful entities collided at blinding speeds, every strike radiating catastrophic force. One figure blazed with scarlet fire, another shimmered in crimson light, while the third was enveloped in absolute darkness. Their collective aura caused the world to tremble, the very fabric of space groaning under the immense pressure of their power.
Fury seethed within the Ancient One’s soul, yet his gaze remained sharp and calculating. As Sky Devourer swung down toward him, he lifted his palm to intercept the edge. Despite his weakened state, his Power of Negation drained the sword’s momentum, allowing the Ancient One to catch the blade with his bare hand.
Before he could launch a counterattack against Cain, a rapid succession of projectiles streaked toward him. Forced into a defensive maneuver, the Ancient One unleashed a repulsive shockwave that hurled the Scarlet King away, twisting his frame mid-air to dodge the incoming volley.
The Scarlet King’s strikes were formidable, and his Chaos Arts were undeniably lethal. However, the Ancient One did not truly fear them, as they lacked the power to kill him in a single hit. The same could not be said for the projectiles fired by the Crimson Exarch.
He calculated that the devastating shot which had previously obliterated half his head could only be utilized once more. The dilemma was his inability to distinguish a standard attack from the one capable of erasing his existence. Consequently, he was forced to treat every single shot as a fatal threat.
While weaving through the barrage, the Ancient One suddenly lunged forward, closing the gap between him and the Crimson Exarch. Dark shadows writhed around his fingers as dozens of eyes manifested within them, their gazes fixed intently on their target.
The Crimson Exarch’s eyes narrowed. He attempted to back away while maintaining a steady stream of fire, but his efforts were futile. No matter how he shifted his position, the Ancient One drew closer with every passing heartbeat.
Finally, the Ancient One bridged the distance entirely and pounced with startling velocity.
In a flash, the Wings of Order expanded, creating a protective shield around the Crimson Exarch. Yet, the moment the Ancient One’s palm struck the wings, an overwhelming sealing energy surged through every atom of the Crimson Exarch’s form. His body seized up, his power instantly suppressed.
But before the Ancient One could exploit this vulnerability, Sky Devourer intervened.
The Scarlet King’s blade whistled toward his throat, forcing the Ancient One to pull back his hand and raise his forearm to shield himself.
"BOOM!"
Scarlet infernos erupted upon impact. The sheer physical might of the blow sent the Ancient One reeling backward, his balance shattered. Before he could recover his stance, the Crimson Exarch merged his twin pistols into a singular, massive rifle.
A torrent of radiant golden light surged from the barrel, traveling faster than any conventional bullet.
The beam struck the Ancient One at point-blank range, sending him tumbling across the terrain and carving a massive trench into the ground.
"ARGHH!"
With a roar of pure rage, the Ancient One emitted a colossal shockwave from his body, shattering the beam of light as he dug his heels into the earth.
There was no respite for him, however.
Sky Devourer chopped down once more, the raw physical strength behind the swing reaching terrifying proportions. The Ancient One hoisted his arm above his head to parry the strike; the ground beneath him disintegrated as scarlet flames geysered upward.
The heat seared the flesh beneath his shadowy shroud, but the Ancient One ignored the pain. His remaining eye locked onto the Crimson Exarch as another shot was fired, the bullet whistling straight for his neck.
It might have been a standard shot—agonizing, but survivable. Or it could have been the final Big Crunch Shot.
Unable to take the risk, the Ancient One had to treat the projectile as lethal.
He lurched to the side, allowing Sky Devourer to tear through the flesh of his left arm in exchange for narrowly evading the bullet. Immediately, he pivoted his body and delivered a brutal kick directly into Cain’s chest.
The force shattered ribs, and blood sprayed from Cain’s mouth as he was catapulted backward. However, the Scarlet King reacted with instinctive speed, plunging Sky Devourer into the earth to anchor himself. Enduring the agony, he regained his footing and hoisted his blade once more.
He slammed the weapon into the ground.
A massive cone of scarlet fire surged forward, racing toward the Ancient One like a volcanic tidal wave.
The Ancient One thrust his hand out, halting the flames before they could reach him. In that very instant, his eye widened in alarm.
Two silhouettes burst through the wall of fire.
From above, the Scarlet King descended with his hands raised high, his weapon wreathed in roaring flames. From below, the Crimson Exarch emerged from the inferno, a single gun aimed directly at the base of the Ancient One’s skull—a silent, deadly shot designed to take his head off.
There was only enough time to counter one threat.
Naturally, the Ancient One prioritized the Crimson Exarch.
His left hand emitted a pulse of power that paralyzed the Crimson Exarch, sealing his movements and stopping the gun's ascent. Simultaneously, the Ancient One raised his right arm to defend against the descending sword.
But as the Scarlet King’s hands emerged from the fire, a look of pure shock crossed the Ancient One’s face.
The object held in those hands was not a sword.
It was a gun.
In that split second, the truth became clear.
The Crimson Exarch had only been using one of his weapons.
The other had been in Cain’s possession the entire time.
The wall of flames had been a mere ruse—a calculated distraction to create a single opening.
And the gambit had succeeded.
The Scarlet King leveled the barrel directly at the Ancient One’s face. Despite the blood staining his teeth, a grin spread across his lips.
He pulled the trigger.
The Big Crunch Shot was unleashed.
