The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2339 Power of Chaos and Power of Order vs Power of Negation
Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
Cain harbored no illusions about the Ancient One’s threats. He understood with grim certainty that challenging such a titan meant flirting with permanent erasure—the kind of death where even a True Name might vanish forever. Nevertheless, the prospect of becoming a slave was something he could never endure. For a man of his nature, yielding was an utter impossibility.
Observing the frozen determination in the Scarlet King’s gaze, the Ancient One’s killing intent flared violently. His fingers clamped down, shadows thickening around his palm as dozens of eyes manifested within the gloom, twitching with sinister intent. Just as those ocular-lined tendrils prepared to skewer Cain’s skull, a streak of golden light whistled through the air from afar.
The projectile traveled with such incredible velocity and silence that the Ancient One only detected its presence when it was already inches away.
Shock and bewilderment gripped the Leader of the Freedom Path. The object had not only evaded his senses entirely but had effortlessly bypassed the constant field of the Power of Negation that shielded his physical form.
"BOOM!"
The projectile slammed into the Ancient One’s temple and ignited before he could blink. The resulting explosion hurled his body across the landscape, carving a jagged trench into the dirt as he tumbled. With the crushing pressure on his head finally gone, Cain inhaled a ragged breath. Depravita Aura flooded his system, mending his fractured skull as he struggled to his feet. He immediately locked his eyes on the fallen figure in the distance.
Despite the shadows clinging to the enemy, the damage was undeniable.
Half of the Ancient One’s head had been reduced to a bloody pulp.
Cain stood paralyzed by disbelief. Even after hitting the man with two point-blank Ragnarök strikes, he had only inflicted surface wounds. Never had he managed to cause such catastrophic devastation to that monstrous body.
Slowly, he shifted his focus toward the source of the attack.
A young man stood there, looking like a mirror image of Cain. He possessed flowing white hair and crimson eyes that shimmered like distant stars. He gripped two firearms, both overflowing with golden plasma that vibrated with a frequency reminiscent of the birth of the cosmos—a resonance that linked all existence.
"Hello, brother."
The stranger flashed a broad grin at Cain.
There was no room for doubt.
This was the Crimson Exarch—the twin of Cain’s primordial essence.
A whirlwind of conflicting feelings washed over Cain as he stared back. While this man had just saved his life, his previous manipulations during their journey through the Red King’s Sacred Dimension had nearly destroyed Cain’s Neo-Demon Core. Their bond was anything but friendly.
Detecting the hostility in Cain’s expression, the Crimson Exarch let out a soft laugh.
"I am aware of your resentment," he remarked. "However, my actions were driven by the best of intentions."
His smile vanished as he looked toward the distant Ancient One, his features hardening into a sharp mask.
"The past can wait for another time. For now, we must focus entirely on him."
Cain followed his lead, turning his attention back to the battlefield.
The Ancient One was pulling himself up. His life force and soul energy fluctuated wildly—a natural consequence of missing half a skull. Despite his terrifying power and durability, he lacked a truly immortal constitution. Such an injury was devastating.
Yet, his remaining eye burned with frigid fury as his aura surged. The Power of Negation exploded outward with even greater ferocity than before.
Under the heavy stares of the Scarlet King and the Crimson Exarch, the Ancient One’s head began to reconstruct itself.
This was not mere healing.
It was as if the injury was being erased from existence—negated entirely from reality and the flow of time.
The display was chilling, leaving them with the haunting sensation that the Ancient One was truly untouchable.
Still, Cain and the Crimson Exarch noticed a glimmer of hope. The Ancient One’s presence and his Power of Negation felt noticeably diminished. Whatever price he paid for that restoration, it had been heavy.
The Ancient One fixed his gaze on the Crimson Exarch, his lone eye filled with pure loathing.
"You treacherous little vermin."
The Crimson Exarch offered a thin smile.
"To be fair, I only sided with you to study your vibrations and frequencies so I could eventually kill you," he answered smoothly. "I’m not sure 'traitor' is the right term. But if it helps you cope, feel free to use it."
The Ancient One’s fists clenched at the blatant mockery. His energy flared with such violence that the very ground beneath him began to shudder.
The Crimson Exarch took a steadying breath, feeling the oppressive weight radiating from their foe.
"Wings of Order."
As the command left his lips, massive wings of crimson plasma erupted from his shoulders. They vibrated with a divine authority, resonating with the fundamental laws of the universe.
Cain’s eyes widened for a split second. This was the pinnacle of the Power of Order, the absolute mirror to his own Power of Chaos.
But there was no time for reflection.
Cain gripped Sky Devourer tightly, and the Wings of Chaos roared to life behind him, distorting the surrounding space. The Crimson Exarch glanced at Cain, a flicker of surprise crossing his face before he smiled again.
He was clearly impressed that Cain had pushed the Power of Chaos to such heights.
"I have only one Big Crunch Shot left that is tuned to the Ancient One’s frequency," the Crimson Exarch stated, his tone turning grave. "If this miss... we are finished."
Cain gave a short nod.
That one shot—the same one that had shattered the Ancient One’s head—was their only real opening. Failure meant certain death for both of them.
A heavy silence fell over the field.
The three combatants stared each other down, their combined energies reaching a suffocating peak—
—and then the world exploded into motion.
The earth crumbled as all three lunged forward at once, initiating a cataclysmic collision of Chaos, Order, and Negation.
