The Dawnbringers launch a coordinated assault on the demonic encampment, driving the enemy forces towards the center. Reinhardt positions himself above the northern gate, awaiting the emergence of Abyss Nests and the arrival of Doctor Victor Voss. Meanwhile, Reinhardt's Divine Summons, Eidolon Seraphi and the Bloomkeeper, bolster the knights' efforts on the battlefield. As Voss appears, leading a group of artificial demons and a colossal underground threat, Reinhardt notices Karina's intense emotional reaction and resolves to let her confront Voss herself.

Her voice was low, but the tone in her voice was determined.

"May I leave your side for a while?"

Reinhardt laughed softly.

"Of course. There is no need to be so anxious. You are free to do what you need to do."

He glanced toward the battlefield below.

"I would like to help you, but I cannot leave this position yet."

Having received his approval, Karina nodded.

"Yes, Master."

The darkness beneath Reinhardt began to gather. Just before she departed, he added, "Remember to fight within the Sanctum. Their goal is probably our camp."

"I understand."

The next instant, Karina disappeared. Reinhardt’s shadow visibly lightened as the presence concealed within it vanished. He watched the shadow flicker through the surroundings stealthily before quickly disappearing out of his sight.

"Perhaps after this, the knot in her heart will finally disappear."

Karina had long possessed the qualifications to enter Level 9. Whether it be her stats, abilities, instincts, or combat experience, all of it had already surpassed the limits of a Level 8.

What’s more, after receiving continuous nourishment from his... ahem... Reinhardt cleared his throat, [Endless Ardor], her physical attributes had risen explosively.

Yet despite that, she could never take that final step. The Altar never acknowledged her.

There was only one explanation. Something remained entangled within her heart. A wound she could not release, or perhaps a fear she had never confronted.

Whatever it was, Victor Voss and the Organization were most likely the source of it.

If she could personally defeat the man responsible for her suffering, that final obstruction might finally disappear. Perhaps today... Karina would finally step into Level 9.

That was also why Reinhardt had allowed her to go alone.

His gaze returned to the two groups slipping away from the northern gate. He still made no attempt to stop them. Although both groups contained troublesome opponents, their destination was obvious.

The human encampment.

Reinhardt’s golden eyes flashed faintly.

If they truly intended to enter the Dawnbringers’ camp... then they should be prepared to leave their lives behind.

Everything was progressing according to plan.

As time passed, the war intensified. The battlefield descended into complete chaos. Explosions bloomed everywhere. The earth cracked, mountains trembled, and even the sky itself seemed to split apart under the countless exchanges of power.

In this chaotic battlefield, these older Demon Generals of Astaroth revealed why they had ruled the battlefields centuries ago.

One Demon General stretched both hands toward the sky and roared.

[Blood Moon Descent].

A crimson moon materialized overhead before raining thousands of razor-sharp crescent blades upon the battlefield. Their power was so great that even Elite knights dared not casually take even a single slash lightly.

Another Demon General slammed both palms together.

[Bone Forest].

Immediately afterward, the ground erupted into countless gigantic ivory spikes, almost swallowing an entire battalion of knights.

Another demon showed a cruel smile. The next second, his figure suddenly multiplied.

[Clone Legion].

Hundreds of identical copies formed out of thin air. Each of these clones possessed nearly half the strength of the original, making it nearly impossible to distinguish the fakes from the original.

With the tides of the battle shifting towards humanity, the demons were forced to get serious. More and more Demon Generals took the field.

A grotesque spider-like Demon General released black silk into the air.

[Fate Strings].

Threads invisible to the eye attached to knights, redirecting their movements. As more and more threads wrapped around them, soon many found, to their shock, their bodies refusing their commands and moving against their will.

Swords and skills that were previously meant to deal with the demons were now being directed towards their own comrades.

Blood spurted, and knights cried out in grief. Chaos and confusion filled one corner of the battlefield.

In another area, a Demon General spread his three pairs of hands, each with eyes and mouths.

[Soul Asgard].

A dark violet mist surged out from the man’s eyes and mouth, instantly covering numerous knights. Those who were touched by this mist suddenly opened their mouths and had their souls sucked out of them. Their bodies fell on the ground, lifeless.

The Demon General extended his multiple hands and ate all the souls with relish, becoming more powerful every second.

Casualties escalated. Everywhere one looked, knights were killed in droves.

Of course, how could humanity leave it be? The Heroes of Dawnbringers answered with equal resolve.

"Crimson Calamity... Vermilion Dragon!"

Erza’s rapier descended. Behind her, an image of a colossal crimson dragon roared across the battlefield, devouring everything before erupting into countless scarlet sword waves.

Her target was the Demon General with the blood moon, harvesting lives nonchalantly.

Without slowing down, she chained another strike.

"Crimson Calamity... Azure Dragon."

The rapier vanished, and a longsword appeared in her hand. Blue flames spiraled across the blade. The slash, carrying the image and aura of an Azure Dragon, curved through the battlefield like a heavenly river.

The Demon General hurriedly dodged, but the demons behind him weren’t so fortunate. They were all bisected and devoured by those flames.

In another battlefield, Brutus laughed thunderously.

"Hahahaha... Flame Commandment- Scorching Penance!"

His body ignited like a miniature sun. His armor looked like it was made of molten lava, and with his gladiatorial look, he resembled a heroic demigod who had descended from the heavens to punish the demons.

With each swing of his twin greatswords, the air distorted around him, releasing torrents of extremely scorching flames reaching over 7000°C.

The Bone Forest immediately melted, and even the Demon General was forced to retreat.

During this state, even the Level 9 Flamekeepers from his order dared not approach him lightly.

In another corner, the Hell Marshal advanced silently and engaged the Clone Legion. Dark silver flames wrapped around his spear. Each thrust pierced both flesh and soul, leaving no opportunity for regeneration.

Not far away... the Black Knight moved with his Dark Gryphon, mowing down the clones of demons and trying to determine the real one among them. The Gryphon responded to his command, releasing terrible storms and black lightning.

On another battlefield, Mordred approached the Demon with six hands. Dark violet mist spread around the battlefield, and the Demon General grinned wickedly.

However, no soul popped out from underneath that helm. Only a dark blaze flickered in those eyes that seemed to be filled with nothing but hatred.

Seizing this opportunity when the demon was surprised, Sigurd’s hammer crashed down from behind.

BANG...

The impact created an earthquake that overturned gigantic demonic beasts like children’s toys and created a massive crater.

One Hero manipulated storms. Another commanded glaciers. Another wielded chains of sacred lightning, destroying all the invisible strings.

Across every front... the Heroes pushed forward.

Meanwhile...

"BURMA!"

A gigantic white bear stood atop a hill like an arrogant king surveying his domain. The enormous Divine Beast pointed one massive paw toward an approaching Abomination.

ROOOAAARRR!

"Go!"

The bear bellowed. Its tone was cocky.

Hearing this, Vangeance twitched.

"You’re ordering me around again."

Burma snorted.

HMPH...

The bear slapped Vangeance across the back hard enough to nearly send him flying.

"Move faster, slow human."

"I’m not slow."

"You are. I want to get back to my nap as soon as possible. You disturbed my union with a beautiful white bear in my sleep."

"You damn lazy bum!"

Vangeance shouted in protest, but Burma was already ignoring him, a snot bubble coming out of its nose as if it had already gone to sleep.

Seeing this, he could not help but grit his teeth.

"Why am I even listening to this bear?"

His summoned Divine Beast, although Sacred Tier and Guardian Class, was extremely lazy. Plus, this fellow did not recognize him as its partner at all and was instead ordering him around.

That said, despite his complaints, Vangeance still rushed after him.

The two charged toward the towering Abomination together. One relied on overwhelming brute strength and the absolute freezing power of ice, the other on his reckless swordsmanship.

With everything said and done, their teamwork was excellent.

In the front, Silvia stood calmly upon the head of the gigantic Gorgon Snake. An albino snake with blood-red eyes.

The large serpent glided across the battlefield and constricted the Abomination, stopping it in place. Some demons tried to help the Abomination, but one look from the Gorgon Snake was enough to turn them into stone statues.

"Left," Silvia spoke calmly.

The serpent immediately twisted its massive body, dodging the gigantic claw of the Abomination.

"I sensed it." The Gorgon Snake hissed.

"So did I. The heat sense ability gained in your trial is quite useful."

"Then you better master the other forms. Your talent is something I recognize," the Gorgon Snake spoke with pride.

With that, the woman and beast launched a perfectly synchronized counterattack. Days of fighting together in that trial had forged genuine trust between them.

Nearby...

SPLASH...

A thousand-meter tidal wave appeared out of nowhere, drowning legions of demons. It looked like the ocean itself had appeared upon land.

And riding that ocean was a whale hundreds of meters long. Its majestic body and aura caused many to pause.

Divine Beast- Tide Ruler Oceanus. Sacred Tier, Ruler Class.
