The women from the past discuss Brandon's origins, while the present-day women grapple with the revelation. Florence is overwhelmed by the news that Brandon, who disappeared only a week ago for them, has lived through centuries. Amelia offers comfort and perspective, explaining the closed-loop nature of Brandon's life and their shared lineage. They bond over their love for Brandon and decide to delve into the family registry to learn more about their descendants and the history of the Bleaufort family.

Meanwhile, back in the house

Elize sat back on the couch with a deep sigh, contemplating everything.

Charlotte stepped forward slowly, closing the short distance between herself and Brandon.

The others watched in silence as she lifted her hand and gently caressed his cheek, looking at his mature face.

Her thumb brushed lightly across his cheekbone "...You have grown even more handsome, Kael," she murmured.

A faint, almost wistful smile touched her lips. "Just as I imagined."

Brandon’s expression softened in affection.

He lifted his hand, gently took hold of hers, and turned his face just enough to press a quiet kiss against her palm.

Charlotte’s gaze melted at the gesture, "If only I had protected you properly... None of this would have happened"

Brandon slowly shook his head "No. It is what was supposed to happen, Charlotte."

"You were always supposed to lose me in that tower,"

"That moment... the storm, your hand missing mine, it was the hinge the entire loop turned on."

"If you had held on... I would never have reached the past. Rheanne would never have met the second awakener. She wouldn’t be a God. The Bleaufort line as it exists now would never have continued."

He gave her fingers a gentle squeeze.

"I would never have completed the role I was meant to play. And without that..."

His eyes moved briefly across the room, across both families, before returning to her. "This present wouldn’t exist the way it does."

"You, Elize, Ravene, Florence, Eira... all of it is connected to that single failure you keep blaming yourself for."

Charlotte’s lips parted as she finally realized what this ’bootstrap paradox’ meant.

Brandon’s voice remained steady, but there was a quiet tenderness beneath it.

"It was always supposed to happen. So don’t blame yourself for it. You didn’t fail me, Charlotte. You fulfilled the part history needed from you..."

"Haa..." A shuddering breath escaped her lips, and she moved forward, gently hugging him.

Brandon lifted his arms and returned the hug without hesitation. One hand settled between her shoulder blades while the other rested higher along her back.

Her left hand came up, and her fingers slipped into the hair at his nape.

She grasped it lightly, feeling the length of it between her fingers.

"Whenever I held you like this before, my hand would just rest against your neck cleanly..." she murmured against his shoulder.

Her fingers slowly curled deeper into the longer strands, "But now... it feels different."

With a chuckle, he kissed her head "You will get used to it."

Meanwhile, Selene quietly stepped away from her father’s side.

She walked over to Freya, who was watching the exchange between Brandon and Charlotte with a thoughtful expression.

When Selene stopped beside her, Freya glanced down and her gaze automatically softened, the same way she always did with her daughter.

Selene stood close and whispered "...Mama."

Freya hummed in response, already half-turning toward her.

Looking at the women, Selene asked "They all going to be my Aunts?"

With a nod, Freya replied "Seems like it is... everyone seems to love him romantically, and I don’t think any one of them is his sibling or mother."

Selene was silent for a few seconds, then leaned lightly against Freya’s side the way she used to when she was younger.

"...Do you think they’ll accept us?"

Freya’s hand came up and rested gently on her daughter’s head, "They will. It may take time."

"But that man is still the center of both our lives and theirs. Eventually the pieces will have to fit... even if the picture looks strange at first."

Selene watched her father a moment longer, still wrapped in Charlotte’s arms, before giving a small nod.

"I hope so."

Meanwhile, Rheanne sat down beside Elize on the couch, and the cushion shifted slightly under her weight.

Elize turned to look at Rheanne before a smile appeared on her lips "...I am Elizabeth."

With a giggle, Rheanne nodded her head "I am aware, Kael has told a lot about you... Well, he talked about you the most."

Upon hearing that, a faint blush colored Elize’s cheeks.

Smiling, Rheanne spoke "Also, thank you for protecting this world against the Lesser Divinities."

Elize’s eyes flickered with mild surprise.

Rheanne went on "I have some enemies in the God Realm, and they often try sending lesser divinities to this world to shake the beliefs of people here."

"But you are the one who killed them... stopping them from invading the world."

"You are rather famous in the God Realm, you know," Rheanne added with a quiet laugh.

"They say, ’Don’t go to Rheanne’s world. There is a woman there who will absolutely slaughter you.’"

Elize was quite embarrassed to hear that "...That is an exaggeration," she muttered.

"Is it?" Rheanne asked lightly.

"From what Kael described, and from what I have sensed of the state of this world, it does not sound like one."

"You have been carrying a burden that should have belonged to a goddess... and you have been doing it alone for a long time."

Elize’s gaze lowered slightly "...I did what was necessary."

"I also heard a lot about you, Goddess Rheanne... from the Lesser Divinities. Well, I torture them before killing them for information."

"That’s how I even know about your nemesis Azara in the God Realm."

Upon hearing the name, Rheanne nodded slowly "Azara... I heard from Kael that she used his mother’s body as a vessel."

A soft sigh escaped Elize’s lips "I... Yeah, she is in coma now. I hope she wakes up soon."

Rheanne smiled wryly in her heart ’If she wakes up, it’s going to be a total disaster.’

’They were shocked by just having same bloodline even though they are 500 years apart.’

’I can imagine hell falling down when they hear he fucked his own mother...’

Her eyes moved to Brandon, who was currently dealing with another round of Eira’s questions ’But again... if he didn’t have sex his mother, he would not have been born.’

’It’s all predetermined and... we can only blame the fate.’

Rheanne looked at her for a moment and noticed the concern in her expression "Seems like you are worried about her."

Elize did not deny it "She is his mother. And as her best friend... obviously I am."

"But I... I am also kind of scared of what will happen when she wakes up and sees what’s happening in the household and all of his women."

Rheanne gave a small nod "Then I hope she wakes in a time when this house is strong enough to bear whatever comes with her return."

Elize’s eyes flickered toward Brandon across the room, then back to Rheanne.

"...So do I."

---

Across the room, Eira bombarded Brandon with even more questions.

"Also, also, when Selene calls you Papa, and I call you Brandon, and Mom is pregnant with your kid, what is the correct family title situation here?"

"Am I supposed to call Selene ’Big Sister’? Is Mom supposed to call Amelia ’Grandma’? Because I refuse. I absolutely refuse."

Selene, standing quietly near Freya, tilted her head with genuine curiosity.

"...I don’t mind being called Big Sister."

"I mind!" Eira shot back immediately.

She turned to Brandon and gripped her head "So now... I am not just your daughter because you are my mother’s husband."

"But I am also your great-something-nth-grand daughter because you are Husband to my ancestor too."

"I can’t do this. I need a chart and I need someone to draw the family tree so I can see exactly how illegal this bloodline is."

Brandon closed his eyes and exhaled "...We are not drawing a family tree."

"RAAHHHHHHHHHH!"

"Calm down, EIra."

Yverine, Ravene, Dhayun and Jiyeon were sitting together and searching on the internet for what a bootstrap paradox is so they could better understand what happened.

"If this turns out to be some poorly written science-fiction explanation, I’m going to be annoyed."

"Here. ’A bootstrap paradox is a causal loop in which an event, person, or object is its own cause, with no clear origin point outside the loop.’"

"That’s already giving me a headache."

"He went to the past because of the future, and the future exists because he went to the past."
