Brandon reveals he traveled back in time and had children with Amelia, who is also Eira's ancestor. He explains this created a bootstrap paradox, fulfilling history rather than changing it. The present-day women struggle to understand the concept, realizing their existence is tied to Brandon's past actions.

While the present household continued to wrestle with the paradox, the three women from the past drifted slightly toward the side of the room.

Scylla stood with her arms crossed while Camille and Lisette stood close beside her.

Camille glanced toward Brandon and the chaotic circle of present-day women "...So Master is actually from the future."

Lisette nodded slowly "Liz... you should stop calling him that already. You know how he hates you calling him that."

With a helpless shake of her head, Camille muttered "I just... I respect him so much... that I feel like calling him that is the right thing."

Hearing this, Lisette couldn’t help but giggle.

Meanwhile, Scylla let out a soft sigh looking at Brandon "I still can’t believe the part about him being from this time."

"When I first met him, I thought he was just some strange, overly strong bastard who appeared out of nowhere."

Camille’s gaze moved to Rheanne, "Seems like Sister Rheanne knew."

Scylla glanced back at the present household, watching Eira still looking mentally broken on the sofa and Florence sitting in stunned silence.

"...They’re taking it harder than I expected,"

Camille’s voice softened slightly "To them he only disappeared for a week. To us... he was with us for years. Of course the weight feels different."

With a chuckle, Lisette hugged Scylla and Camille "Seems like our family just got bigger."

"We’ve followed him through wars, towers, and many more centuries."

"Adjusting to a few more people who love him the same way we do shouldn’t be impossible."

Scylla crossed her arms again, lightly "As long as none of them try to act superior just because they’re from this time, I don’t really mind."

Her eyes narrowed slightly toward Charlotte and Elize. "Especially those two. They look at him like they’re ready to drag him away the moment we look elsewhere."

Amelia’s eyes stayed on Florence, and she could see how distraught the woman was.

She hesitated for a moment, then she quietly crossed the room.

She stopped in front of Florence and gently extended her hand.

"...Come with me. Let’s step outside for a bit. You look like you need air."

Florence lifted her gaze and stared at the offered hand. Then, slowly, she reached out and took it.

Amelia’s fingers closed around hers with steady warmth.

Brandon only watched in silence as the two women turned and walked toward the door.

The moment they stepped outside, the cool night air washed over them.

The grassland in front of the mansion stretched out under a clear sky.

Soft wind moved through the tall grass, carrying the quiet sounds of the night along with the rustle of the leaves.

Florence let out a long, shaky breath the moment the door closed behind them.

She released Amelia’s hand only to wrap her arms around herself.

Amelia remained beside her and looked out over the dark field, giving Florence time to gather her thoughts.

After a while, Florence muttered "...I don’t know what I’m supposed to feel right now."

"A week ago, he... disappeared. We searched for him. I was telling myself that it is only a matter of time before he returns..."

"And now I find out that while we were breaking down... he was living and suffering in different lifetimes. I...."

She closed her eyes for a moment "I don’t even know where to begin understanding that."

Amelia was silent for a few seconds "I don’t fully understand it either."

"To me, the life I lived with him was simply... my life."

"I didn’t know that while I was living those days, there were people in a future I couldn’t see who were grieving for him."

She turned her head to look at Florence "I didn’t know about you. Or about any of the women inside that house. To me, he was simply Kael and the man who stood beside me through everything."

Florence opened her eyes and stared out at the dark field.

The moonlight caught the faint sheen of unshed tears along her lower lashes "...Did he ever talk about us?"

With a shake of her head, Amelia replied "Not at all... I have heard him whispering something in his sleep sometimes, but that’s it."

"I guess... he didn’t want to burden us with everything... you know him, he is like that."

With a soft chuckle, Florence agreed "That’s so like him."

"Even when he came back... stood in that room and started explaining... I could see it."

"He was trying to make it sound manageable. As if five hundred years was something that could be summarized easily."

"But no one lives that long without being changed by it. And he still tried to stand there and... make it easier for the rest of us."

Amelia’s expression softened "I can understand that... There were times I would find him sitting alone after a battle or a long journey, staring at nothing. If I asked, he would only smile and say it was nothing."

"I always knew there was something in his mind. I just never knew the size of what he was keeping to himself... would be like this.."

Florence’s gaze dropped to the ground for a moment "I’m not angry at you or anything," she muttered, glancing at Amelia.

"I want you to know that. It’s just... a lot to hold at once."

Amelia met her eyes and gave a small nod "I understand your feelings... It should definitely feel strange hearing the man you loved, in a way, is your ancestor."

She looked out across the grassland, letting the wind gently tug at her hair.

"But as he said... he didn’t change the future. He just did what had to be done. If he and I hadn’t given birth to a child... you wouldn’t have existed."

"A perfect closed loop."

Florence let out a quiet sigh "That’s a cruel kind of mercy, isn’t it?"

"I get to stand here and love him. But the only reason any of that is possible is because he lived through centuries away from me."

She closed her eyes briefly "...I keep trying to be rational about it, because at the end of the day... I got my Brandon back."

"Even though he has grown older and there are certain complications... he is alive and well."

Amelia turned toward her with a chuckle "Yeah... If our places were reversed, I don’t know if I would be standing here as calmly as you are."

"And... I can see that you love him. That alone makes it difficult for me to see you as a stranger."

She stepped forward slowly and wrapped her arms around Florence.

Florence froze for a heartbeat before her shoulders relaxed into her warm embrace.

Amelia rested her cheek lightly against her shoulder and murmured "...I’m glad that my bloodline is still here... continued all the way to you and is still flourishing."

Florence’s breath trembled a little.

Then, slowly, she raised her arms and settled them against Amelia’s back, returning the gentle embrace.

"...Yeah,"

Pulling back a little, Amelia looked at her face "Though it’s going to be strange looking at my own face from now on."

With a giggle, Florence replied, "Well, at least now we are certain that Husband has a type. His preferences haven’t changed."

Amelia huffed out a quiet laugh at that as she shook her head slightly. "That much is undeniably true."

"Actually... if we work together, we can tease Husband more."

"You are right! We should do something like that."

"Also, do you remember your grandparents’ name? Anything beyond the immediate family? I want to know every name of my descendants."

Florence shook her head with a thoughtful look "Not... really. I know the recent generations, but beyond that... it’s all recorded in the family registry. I’ve never really gone through it properly."

Amelia nodded "Then we should, I want to know how it continued."

Florence glanced at her. "That got me curious... What was it like back then? The Bleaufort family, I mean."

"Hmm... we were one of the strongest empires in the entire world, the Eurasania Empire."

"And with the help of Kael we even became the strongest empire..."
