Supreme Lord: I can extract everything! Chapter 1119: Supreme Lord I

The chaos of battle began to subside as the Goblin Shamans unleashed powerful lightning bolts, stunning enemies and providing cover for the Silverfang Archers to strike down their foes. Meanwhile, the Shadowbane Spiders terrorized maritime creatures along the ocean's edge, contributing to widespread mayhem. As the fight reached its climax, the arrival of Tiara and her forces devastated the remaining sea monsters, but a dramatic turn awaited as the injured Caesus crash-landed before her, gravely wounded yet triumphant from his confrontation with the Ocean Dragon. As he lay bloodied in the sand, his faint smile conveyed pride in his defense of their people and the dawn of a new era.

"What are you doing there?" Alice asked as she approached Michael, wrapping her arms around him from behind. She rested her weight against his back while he remained focused on his task. A wide grin spread across his face, his golden eyes shimmering with intensity as the scenes before him shifted rapidly.

"I'm keeping an eye on our friends. Actually, to be more precise, I'm watching... everyone," he murmured. Using his Essence, he manipulated a basin filled with water. The container reshaped itself into the frame of a mirror, and the liquid within rippled until it took on the appearance of molten glass. To Alice, it looked like a window into another world as a multitude of images began to flash by.

"Is that Sun Demos?" she questioned, causing the visual feed to decelerate. The images briefly displayed Frederik Kolbenheim and Jacqueline Orlando relaxing at their residence within the Tritan Alliance before shifting back to Sun Demos, who was overseeing his small domain in the Untamed Jungle.

While Sun Demos remained one of Michael’s tamed monsters, Michael rarely issued commands to the Monkey King. He allowed the creature to live as he pleased, provided he did not act against Michael or his allies.

Over the past few decades, Sun Demos had undergone several stages of evolution and mutation. He had ascended to become a Blazing Sun Monkey King, a Mythical Existence of the 7th Tier. The former prankster had transformed into a true Divine Beast!

Michael hadn't spent much time with Sun Demos in recent years. He was conscious of his negligence toward the Monkey King, yet Sun Demos harbored no resentment. In fact, the Monkey King seemed to prefer the lack of supervision. He had never viewed himself as Michael's subordinate; to him, their history of fighting side by side felt like a pact between two sovereigns rather than an Emperor ruling over a lowly subject.

This was the quality Sun Demos admired most in Michael. After working together for a few years, they had simply moved toward their own separate destinies.

Now significantly more powerful, the Monkey King had established his own territory. He resided there with his offspring and the other Blood Oath Demon Monkeys, including those born through various mutations and evolutionary paths.

Nevertheless, the Blazing Sun Monkey King was the undisputed monarch. He was the sovereign of the Monkey Kingdom.

"Are you monitoring everyone this way? How did you even build such a scrying bowl—or is it a mirror? I can understand seeing what happens within the Origin Expanse, but how are you stalking Jac and Frederik? They aren't in the Origin Expanse right now, are they?" Alice asked.

Her tone wasn't condescending, but her choice of words stung him slightly.

"Stalking? I’m just looking in on my friends..." Michael replied, his voice trailing off with a hint of dejection.

Alice ran her fingers through his long, silky hair, a playful smirk on her face. "Of course you are. You’re just being a little overprotective. Yes, that’s exactly what it is."

Michael chuckled inwardly, though he knew better than to argue the point out loud.

"What about Zeroa? I haven't seen her in a long time. She hasn't been at the Elemental Empire either. I visited two weeks ago, and they said she hasn't been seen for years. I meant to ask you about it, but it slipped my mind," Alice said, her voice tinged with concern once more.

"Zeroa is perfectly fine," Michael assured her with a smile. He shifted the image to show the Elemental Empress and the Red Dragon relaxing on a small island. "Before you ask... Yes, that volcano is active. Yes, the eruption is entirely their fault... and yes, they are still within the Origin Expanse."

Alice’s brow arched, her worry shifting into a mix of bewilderment and curiosity.

"Where are they located? Is that the..."

"The Azure Ocean? Indeed. I’m not sure what their goal is, but I hope they don't completely wreck the Azure Ocean’s ecosystem. Caesus has already caused enough trouble there. We really don’t need PyroWyrms appearing in the middle of the Azure Ocean. That would be a total disaster."

"How would they even..." Alice started to ask, but she cut herself off. She decided it was better not to pursue that line of questioning. She was naturally curious, and her hormones had been making her more inquisitive than usual lately.

"Please, don't ask me how they produce Wyrms. No one should be subjected to the details of that... process," Michael said with a shudder. He turned to his wife, playfully pinching her cheeks before planting a kiss on her forehead.

"Anyway," Alice said, clearing her throat to change the subject as she leaned in, "what exactly did Caesus do?"

Michael laughed and turned back to the scrying mirror, pulling up the footage of Caesus’s confrontation with the Ocean Dragon.

"The Ocean Dragon was supposed to remain in hibernation until it ascended to godhood. That was the original intent. Unfortunately, things didn't go according to plan. Caesus set up his settlement less than two kilometers from where the dragon was sleeping and decided to use the nearby bay as a port to harvest fish that were eating its... waste."

Alice erupted into laughter, unable to stop for several minutes. She only realized Michael wasn't joking when she saw him staring at her with a deadpan expression, his lips pressed together.

"Wait! You're serious? No, that's impossible. You can't be serious."

"It is a very serious matter. He was making a fortune off those fish, which were evolving because of the Ocean Dragon’s excrement. Sadly, the noise from his operations woke the dragon. Waking a dragon from an eternal slumber is actually quite a feat," Michael sighed heavily.

"But they’re okay, right? Caesus... nothing bad happened to him?"

"He's fine. He came close to death, but he pushed past his boundaries and broke through his limits several times—it was quite a performance. He eventually forced the Ocean Dragon to retreat. The dragon expended so much energy that its path to godhood will likely be delayed significantly. Its centuries of sleep were wasted because it ended up in a life-or-death struggle with Caesus," Michael noted, a hint of pride in his voice. "Caesus is fully recovered and stronger than ever. He actually needs to be careful, or he might accidentally trigger an Authority or Law and ascend to godhood if he keeps this up."

"You sound like a proud father," Alice teased. Michael simply shrugged in response.

"I am proud of Caesus. And Tiara, for that matter." He showed Alice the progress the Silverfang siblings had made. Their development plans were moving far ahead of schedule. Though they claimed they were taking things slow and didn't want to rush, the siblings were secretly very competitive. If they had the chance to grow into a first-rate race rapidly, why wouldn't they take it?

Michael could only agree with that mindset.

Why hold back when you have the resources to succeed?

'Perhaps spending so much time with me in the Untamed Jungle had an effect on them. I might have been a bad influence,' Michael thought to himself, though the satisfied smirk remained on his face.
