Supremacy Games Chapter 1957 Me, and You, Against The Universe.

Previously on Supremacy Games...
Empress Emily and the rulers awaited Felix's return, having closely monitored his progress through the trials while many candidates dropped out. Felix had made significant advances alongside Zion, merging their strengths to reclaim his family's legacy and rise to power, ultimately reaching the Supreme Position after defeating formidable adversaries. However, as Felix sought a way to help Zion achieve freedom, their bond was shattered when Zion, driven by vengeance, turned against Felix, devouring his consciousness to seize control. In the end, both faced the harsh irony of betrayal, with Zion's dark ambitions overshadowing their profound connection.

1957 Me, and You, Against The Universe.

The ten SGRulers were left exchanging looks of complicated emotions once the narration ended.

"This surpasses the agony he endured at the hands of the three celestials," the Dwarven Emperor stated, shaking his head. "Recovery from such an ordeal will take an immense amount of time, provided it is even possible."

The remaining rulers signaled their agreement. They understood that the moment Felix awakened and integrated his memories, he would realize that repeating his previous strategy was a near impossibility.

How could he ever summon the courage to fuse his soul with another being again? He had spent several hundred millennia living alongside a soul brother, only to be met with a knife in the back.

It was now painfully evident that these celestials, whether from the old guard or the new, could not be trusted under any circumstances.

"Celestials possess not a shred of loyalty when their personal interests are at stake," the Elder Dragon remarked with a cold tone. "If the human intends to proceed with the trial, he is forced to abandon this specific plan."

"It is a pity... That strategy appeared to have the highest probability of success; he merely needed to refine the concluding stages." The Queen of the Witch Empire sighed, her disappointment clear.

Agreement rippled through the group. They all recognized that Felix had cracked the most difficult segment of the enigma. His only remaining task should have been to maintain the strategy and perfect it through successive failures.

However, he was certainly no fool; he would not willingly walk into a position where he could be betrayed once more.

In the meantime, Empress Emily listened to their dialogue in silence. Her mind raced at maximum capacity, searching for a resolution to this deadlock before Felix's consciousness returned.

She was aware that forcing Felix to start from scratch might shatter his spirit, regardless of the mental fortitude he projected.

"Based on a comprehensive analysis, the solution appears to be finding a partner who is incapable of betrayal," Empress Emily stated in a composed manner.

"Hah, that is far easier to suggest than to execute," the Dwarven Emperor gave a mocking snort. "I suppose you are excused for that thought, as your race lacks the very concepts of betrayal, loyalty, affection, or hatred."

"..."

Empress Emily said nothing, acknowledging the truth in his words without taking offense. If the metal race excelled at anything, it was the relentless pursuit of data. Human emotions were simply data points they struggled to fully grasp.

19:45

"Meeting adjourned."

Empress Emily departed the assembly immediately, heading toward Felix's mansion within the UVR.

Finding him lying there with a serene look on his face, she reached out and gently stroked his cheek with her palm.

"The destiny of our entire universe rests within this delicate lifeform... I have watched him exist, struggle, laugh, perish, and return to struggle again and again... Now he lies here, scarred more deeply than anyone can fathom, yet he bears this pain in isolation," she whispered.

"I wish to feel your agony, your grief, your joy, and your betrayal... I want to live through what you endure to understand why our Supreme entrusted the universe to you. Only then can I truly assist you..."

With those words, Empress Emily shut her eyes and constructed a virtual simulation. In it, she experienced the same events as Felix—not as a mechanical being, but as a human driven by feelings.

After a few moments that felt like an eternity inside her simulation, Empress Emily pulled back. Her eyes flickered rapidly, her systems straining under an absolute data overload.

For the Empress of the Metal Race, this mental feat was the equivalent of physically overpowering a Dragon!

'Incredible. Such primal emotions... how do these small lifeforms manage to exist this way? They live at the mercy of their feelings, and even those who boast of perfect self-control are only deceiving themselves...'

Her thoughts weren't limited to humans, but she recognized they were among the most emotional species in existence, their lives entirely dictated by their cravings and virtues.

"One man lives as a prisoner to his lust, while another treasures his own kindness, searching for nothing but true love."

"One exists like a beast, consuming everything in sight, while another finds that the secret to a joyful life is moderation."

She let out a sigh, adding, "One spends his life consumed by envy, while another finds his greatest joy in the success of those he loves."

"The lives of such beings are decided from the moment of birth; they can do nothing but absorb the emotional atmosphere surrounding them. Whatever dominates their environment shapes them, making change nearly impossible later in life..."

"I used to wonder how these creatures survived for so long, persisting like indestructible cockroaches across every universe... but I understand now."

"It isn't their ability to adapt, their survival instincts, or their racial pride," she said, smiling as she looked at Felix. "It is love."

Love.

A simple four-letter word representing a feeling craved by all living things, particularly humans, who were composed of a chaotic blend of emotions.

"What is it that ties one soul to another so tightly," she whispered, "that betrayal becomes an impossibility?"

"Is it trust? No, trust is too brittle; it can be shattered, and loyalty can falter."

"Is it fear? No, fear is unstable. It creates resentment rather than true devotion."

"The answer to this equation is true love," she murmured, her voice laced with amazement. "It is the sole force powerful enough to bind, to mend, and to survive every hardship."

A faint smile appeared on her lips, though it carried a trace of sadness.

"However, love..." she said to herself, "is also the most delicate thing. If it fails to protect against treachery, the heart is left completely destroyed."

Having lived Felix's life and felt the sting of Zion's betrayal herself, she realized that Felix's heart was currently in ruins.

He had surrendered his heart to someone he viewed as a brother and family—the only person he trusted fully after his grandfather died. This was why the agony of the betrayal felt a hundred times worse than any other.

"His plan didn't fail due to a lack of preparation or his own nature," Empress Emily smiled sadly. "He simply gave his heart to the wrong individual, which means... there is still hope."

Empress Emily turned to leave, whispering, "I hope you can forgive me for my next actions, but this is the only path to saving the universe."

In her view, Felix was the only viable candidate for the succession; Emilia's personality would never allow her to achieve oneness. It required more than being a psychopath to ascend as the new Supreme.

One month later...

Felix opened his eyes slowly, his vision blurred as he saw his wife’s face resting on his chest. He squinted and sat up, scanning the room with a confused expression.

"Why am I in the bedroom of my mansion?" Felix whispered, noting that he was in his physical home.

Asna woke up at his movement. She looked exhausted, as if she hadn't stepped foot out of the room for weeks.

"Felix... Felix, you're finally awake!" She sat up instantly, seeing his soft smile.

"I'm sorry for the scare, but what am I doing—"

Asna cut him off by throwing herself into his embrace, sobbing uncontrollably. He stopped his questioning and held her gently, understanding how much she must have suffered in his absence.

As he held her, Asna kept crying out, "I'm so sorry, I didn't know, I'm so sorry..."

Felix's face darkened immediately as he realized Asna had discovered his secret.

'How? How could she know? Was I talking in my sleep? Why do I only have fragmented memories of the last universe?' Questions raced through Felix's mind, and he immediately tried to contact Queen Ai for answers.

Before Queen Ai could respond, however, a hologram of Empress Emily appeared before the couple.

"Pardon my intrusion," she said with politeness.

Asna quickly wiped her eyes and greeted her with a warm smile. "Please, you are welcome."

Observing the friendly interaction between the two, the truth suddenly clicked for Felix.

Felix felt the urge to scream at her in rage, but he forced his feelings down—a skill he was slowly perfecting through his many trials.

He simply looked at her with a cold, flat expression and asked, "Why?"

He knew a being of her intellect wouldn't reveal their mission without a very significant reason.

After all, she had violated the privacy of his family, the one thing he refused to let anyone touch.

"My apologies, but this was necessary... It was the only way to progress."

Empress Emily’s apology was sincere, and Felix noticed her face was far more animated than usual.

"Does this involve my forgotten memories?" Felix asked calmly.

"It does."

"I don't know what your game is, but I truly hope your goal in telling my wife wasn't to drag her into this trial."

Felix’s eyes turned cold, and he released a wave of murderous intent so potent it caused Asna to freeze. He repeated, "I truly, truly hope not..."

Asna tried to speak, but the words wouldn't come; Felix's aura was so terrifying that she was paralyzed, even though the intent wasn't aimed at her.

The Empress, however, felt nothing. In this specific universe, Felix was merely a normal human without any Cultivation system.

"I believe you are ready to receive your memories now."

Empress Emily didn't give a direct answer, wanting him to see her reasoning for himself. Felix withdrew his aura, allowing Asna to breathe again.

"Felix..."

"Asna, please."

Felix gave her a gentle smile and a brief kiss before logging into the UVR. He had no desire to review his past lives in front of her, certain that the content was grim given the Empress's interference.

Once inside the UVR, Asna looked at Empress Emily with tear-filled eyes. "Will he be okay? The things you showed me... the betrayal by that bastard... I know my husband. He prizes loyalty above everything. This will hurt him deeply."

"I should be with him."

"Do not worry, I have found a way to minimize the psychological trauma."

Empress Emily had the power to fully edit a person's memories once they were connected to the UVR.

It was one of her most dangerous capabilities, but she only utilized it when the situation was dire.

Meanwhile, Felix was being fed his memories in a fragmented, non-linear fashion, beginning with Zion's treachery. Without the full context, the backstabbing initially only caused him curiosity.

But as the rest of the life flooded back into his mind—even out of order—his chest tightened with a sharp pain.

When the process finished, Felix sat in total silence for several minutes, digesting the influx of information.

The life he had lived, the friendship, the journey, the wars, and the ultimate failure... there was so much to process that silence was his only option.

He realized that if Empress Emily hadn't scrambled the sequence of the memories, the emotional impact would have hit him with ten times the force, as if the betrayal were happening in real-time.

He felt a flicker of gratitude for the act, though he still hadn't forgiven her for involving his family—especially now that he understood her plan was to involve Asna in the mission.

"You would go this far? Dragging an innocent person into this nightmare? After witnessing what happened to me? After seeing Zion's fate?" Felix smiled with bitterness. "I knew you were cold, but I thought there were lines you wouldn't cross."

Empress Emily appeared before him, her expression difficult to read.

"I do have limits, but when the survival of the universe is at stake, those limits vanish," she said evenly. "I am not doing this just because Supreme Azzorus ordered it... I truly want our universe to endure."

"If that requires involving your wife, I will apologize, but I will do it every time."

As Felix prepared to retort, she smiled softly and added, "You seem to have forgotten who you once were... Weren't you also just an innocent businessman with a quiet family? Yet you were chosen as the universe's consciousness. Look at what you have become."

"Do not hide behind the excuse of innocence. You have no idea what your wife is capable of if given the opportunity," she finished calmly. "She might even outshine you."

Felix considered her words, knowing she was right. He hadn't fallen for Asna just because of her beauty or grace.

He fell for her because she could not ignore injustice, because of her fierce protectiveness over what she loved, and her courage to own her mistakes.

She was a woman of immense dignity, someone who would stay by his side whether he was a king or a beggar.

That was his wife, his soulmate, and the mother of his child. Because of those very qualities, Felix shook his head in refusal.

"I would rather die than let my wife join me in this brutal mission," he said firmly.

"If that is your stance, tell it to her," Empress Emily replied. "She knows everything now. I am not the one you need to convince."

Just as Felix's temper began to flare, Asna's voice filled with conviction came from behind him.

"Love, you said you'd rather die than let me help, but you don't understand..." She stepped forward, taking his hand with a cold, determined gaze. "I will beat you myself if you think you're doing this without me."

"Dear..."

"Don't 'dear' me. Don't think I didn't see what you were up to with those girls in the other lives." Asna locked eyes with him, her hand suddenly gripping his crotch firmly. "If I didn't know you had no memory of me or this life, you'd already be on the floor."

"If you are continuing these trials, I am going with you by merging our souls. Even without our memories, I know we will find each other and push each other to the end."

"So, are we doing this together or not?"

As she spoke, she tightened her grip until Felix’s face began to turn blue.

"But... Niko... argh."

She squeezed harder, leaning in close so he could see her unwavering resolve.

"Niko will stay with my father and be raised by Lelia. Empress Emily promised she can wipe the worst memories from the other universes, so nothing I experience will hurt me here. I can care for him between our attempts."

"Argh... It's not that I don't want you... but I doubt the seven celestial hearts will permit it..." Felix managed to choke out, realizing his physical well-being was no longer in his control.

"Hmph, I know you know the Empress already cleared it with them before talking to me. Stop making excuses." Asna tightened her hold even more, her hidden, fierce personality surfacing.

"I... can't... breathe..."

"Agree to it."

"I... can't... breathe..."

"Agree to it."

"Okay... fine, fine... just let go..."

Realizing his wife was as stubborn as a mule and that Empress Emily had taken steps to protect her, Felix finally relented.

The moment he gave in, Asna’s coldness vanished, and she released her grip on his "jewels."

She hugged him with a joyful grin, whispering into his ear, "Me and you against the world, remember darling... Me and you."

"I remember... I just don't want you to suffer, my love." Felix sighed in defeat.

"A life without you is the only true suffering," she replied.
