Azrael, the Sovereign, and some of the Machina generals in Jason’s legion had all been fighting nonstop for the past few months, and there were many Rook Rank subordinates who had also faced hundreds of enemies in that time. These subordinates had all gotten up to a hundred percent in this hierarchy level, and Jason began to allocate the upgrade points to them.

’There are one thousand one hundred and fifty Rook Rank I, three hundred and twenty-one Rook Rank II, and five hundred and three Rook Rank III. I’ve really been putting the Rooks through hell recently using their [Great Wall] to block enemy attacks. No wonder they’ve been growing so quickly. The bishops are fewer than the rooks. Only about five hundred Bishop Rank I and a hundred Bishop Rank II. I think Gina is the only Bishop Rank III that has enough hierarchy points to rank up. The others haven’t been in enough fights. Jason smiled as he felt the subordinates in his Alternate Dimension growing stronger, and Jason could also feel Gina’s aura growing more powerful. Inside the room, Gina was surprised when she sensed her power growing, and she looked towards the balcony and smiled when she noticed that Jason was the reason for it.

Gina sent a quick ’thank you’ through their mental link, and Jason hummed with a smile as he turned back to the system again to see how much he had gained from the upgrades. Jason’s mana had risen by more than a hundred million points again, but Jason scowled when he saw that his stats hadn’t moved much at all. Since Jason was a Primordial, upgrading so many weak subordinates wasn’t going to give him any benefit! The only subordinate that gave Jason more than a 2% boost was Gina, and Jason decided that he had to put his Knights into more fights if he wanted to grow faster.

Jason’s Primordial Essence Rank and Purity were still the same as they were after Jason’s fight against the Primordial Lightning Dragon, and Jason turned away from his stats and looked at another section of his system.

There was an entire world out there for Jason to explore, and Jason wasn’t going to stop until he got to the very top of that world! But Jason glanced to the side again as he saw a notification tab opening on his system, and Jason hummed as he realised that it was the fifth page of the [Book of the Apocalypse] that he had gotten as a reward after killing the Primordial!

Hello, Jason.

At this point, it’s been close to eight years since I’ve been away from home. I feel the desire to see you and the rest of the family growing more and more as each day passes. I don’t know how much longer I can continue to hold back the Primordials before they break through the Primordial Veil, but I will do my best to ensure they do not have an easy time!

How are you and the rest of the family? I hope you’ve been taking care of them properly. I left them in your care because I knew you were strong enough to carry the weight of their responsibility from a young age, and I still believe I made the right choice.

Somewhere at the edge of the Primordial Expanse, close to the Primordial Veil, there is a prison that has existed for multiple millennia. The prison holds a Celestial behind bars, and no one has ever been mad enough to unseal the monstrosity that hides behind those bars. But recently, a world known as Gerai was invaded by mysterious forces, and an attack was carried out on the Temple of the Abyss Gods. The attacker did not steal any of the ornaments or gold in the temple. Instead, they took only one artefact from within the Eternal Abyss.

The Unsealing Key.

This artefact is the only key capable of opening the prison and releasing that monster upon the Primordial Expanse, and although it is only a rumor, I cannot ignore the possibility of it being true. There are a limited number of people in the world who know the whereabouts and purpose of this artefact, and your brother Gregory happens to be one of them. I believe he was responsible for the attack on the Temple of Abyss Gods, and he is now in possession of the Key.

I won’t ask you to find your brother and take the key from him. It is far too early for that, and I do not believe you are powerful enough to face him yet. Instead, I need you to discover a way to stop whatever beast he is about to unleash upon the world from destroying everything that we’ve worked hard to protect.

You cannot underestimate this monster, Jason! If it is allowed to roam freely, then the Primordial Expanse will not last more than a year before it is completely eradicated! I don’t know how long you have, but if this letter reaches you before the disaster does, then you can expect it to appear any moment from now.
