Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 971: A Feeling of Absolute Terror

’He wanted this to happen! He plotted all of it! If I see him again, I’ll kill him myself! I knew I shouldn’t have trusted him!’

Calypso’s instincts had always warned her about the man and his strange intentions. The man never asked for a larger share of the money the Jamani brought in after their jobs, even though he had been doing a lot of work for a while now, and he was always so distant from the other Jamani mercenaries, as if he wasn’t interested in mingling with people he wouldn’t stay with for a long time. Calypso ignored those instincts because she thought the man was just antisocial, and she decided to overlook his strangeness since he was so strong! But if Calypso knew he would cause them so many problems, she wouldn’t have abandoned him a long time ago!

PHWOOM!

The sound of a flame bursting to life made Calypso turn to the side sharply, and Calypso had to put her hand up to protect herself as she saw a man charging straight for their group with flames surrounding him!

BOOM!

The man slammed into a large group of mercenaries and unleashed a blast that pushed them all back! Calypso was also thrown back by the attack, but she managed to get her feet under her, and she landed softly before glaring at the person who had appeared. It was a tall man with dark skin and dreadlocks, and he was wearing the same uniform as the other men who came here with the overlord.

Stragga had a frown on his face as he looked at Calypso, and his entire body began to light up in flames as he slowly walked towards her. Stragga was furious! During the patrol earlier, Stragga had seen the man that was stabbed by the Jamani, and he couldn’t help but feel responsible for what happened! Jason had put him in charge of the superhumans, and he allowed one of them to almost be killed by these bastards! Stragga just wanted to hurt something, and from what he could see, he knew that this woman had to be the leader of this group, so he decided that she would be the one to suffer his anger!

Calypso stood calmly, and she allowed her senses to flow towards Stragga to measure how strong he was. And once Calypso sensed Stragga’s power level, Calypso felt a smile blooming on her lips as she realised that he was weaker than her! Stragga was only a TITAN Rank I while Calypso was TITAN Rank II, so there was no way he stood a chance against her!

"I’m in a hurry to leave this place as soon as possible, so I’ll overlook your attack if you turn around and run away right now."

Calypso spoke in a calm tone while looking around urgently, but Stragga ignored her warning, and his body exploded in flames as he charged forward with a shout! Calypso frowned, and she activated a skill that unleashed a cloud of pink gas from her body! The pink gas spread across the courtyard quickly, and once the people around inhaled it, they immediately fell to the ground unconscious! This was one of Calypso’s most effective skills called [Nocturne], and it releases a sleep-inducing gas from her body that affects everyone around her! Calypso didn’t want to use this skill earlier because her men were around her back then, but now that Stragga was trying to waste her time, she couldn’t think about her men anymore. Calypso needed to escape, so she would use her men as a distraction to escape alone!

The gas cleared up, and Calypso saw that Stragga, along with all the other Jamani mercenaries, were unconscious on the floor, and she quickly took off again to reach the airship behind the castle! It took her about three minutes of flying to finally see her air ship in the distance, but Calypso stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the absolute carnage going on back here!

There had already been thousands of Jamani who had the same idea as Calypso! They had all come to the back of the castle to reach the airship, but by gathering together so quickly, they gave the Legion the opportunity to attack all of them at the same time. Right now, there was a massive battle taking place around the airship as the Jamani tried desperately to hold back the Legion! The Legion was being led by Diana of the Bengari and the Sovereign of Radagan, so it was obvious that the Jamani didn’t stand a chance!

’I need to find some other way out of this world!’

Calypso frowned as this thought went through her mind and she watched as a massive attack slammed into the airship and the entire thing blew up in an inferno! The air pressure from the explosion pushed hundreds of fighters off their feet, and even Calypso was pushed back slightly from the blast!

Calypso cursed as she raised her hand to protect her face, and she waited until the blast had subsided before she looked back at her destroyed airship! That thing had cost her millions of gold coins!

Ba-Dump!

Calypso’s heart suddenly skipped a beat as she saw someone standing in front of the burning airship with his hands in his pockets. The man looked far too calm even though he was standing in the midst of a battlefield, and when he turned around, Calypso felt a raw terror spread through her body! It was Jason Marc! Calypso had no idea where Jason had come from, but in the time between when she looked away and looked back, Jason had arrived on the battlefield, and now he was looking at the battle raging around him with a nonchalant expression on his face. Calypso immediately began to fly backwards as she tried to get away from there before Jason would notice her, but Jason suddenly turned and locked eyes with her.

"Teleport!"

Calypso immediately activated one of her skills, and she vanished from the battlefield and appeared at a random location in the castle! Calypso leaned against the wall beside her, and she let out heavy breaths as she tried to calm her heart down! That had been terrifying! Calypso didn’t like using the teleportation spell because it usually teleported her to any random location within a certain radius around her, but she had instinctively used the skill back then because of how terrified she was!

This hallway was quiet, and the sound of fighting and battle was echoing from a far distance away, so Calypso felt like she would be safe here. Calypso slowly walked out from behind a pillar and started moving through an empty hallway. Down the hall, a figure suddenly appeared.

"Teleport!"

Calypso literally didn’t even wait to see who that person was! There was no need for her to do something like that when she knew that there was only one person who could track her so easily! Calypso reappeared in one of the upstairs bedrooms of the castle, and she looked out the window to see that she was right above the courtyard with her airship burning below her.

’Why can’t I leave this place!?’

Calypso growled as she felt frustration rising in her heart! Usually, the Teleport skill would allow you to move to any position within a certain radius, but Calypso hoped that by using it multiple times, she would be teleported out of the castle. But what Calypso didn’t know was that there was a magic shield around the castle that prevented any physical or magical transportation out of this region. So no matter how many times she used the teleport skill, she would always end up inside the castle!

Calypso was about to use the skill again to try and leave the castle, but a voice from behind made her jolt in shock.

"Are you finished running?"
