Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 824: Meeting The Mother-In-Law

Outside the Marc restaurant, Gaia agents rapidly cleared a path for an opulent royal carriage, drawn by four magnificent horses! Crafted from deep mahogany red wood, its golden trims and decorations unmistakably signaled the presence of high society. A royal crest, the head of a golden lion, emblazoned on the carriage's side, identified it as belonging to the Minori Royal Family! Upon recognizing this symbol, Fredrica's eyes widened in shock! As a senior executive of Gaia, she possessed extensive knowledge of the Primordial Expanse and the Council of Nine and One that governed the Primordial Domains! Fredrica knew that such a symbol could only be borne by one individual: the Prideful Queen and sovereign of the Seventh Domain, Queen Hesabeth!
’Isn’t she the one capable of obliterating a world with a mere thought!? What on earth brings her to Earth!?’
Fredrica was at a loss, as no protocol existed for such an unprecedented event! Typically, a domain leader would never venture into another's territory without explicit prior notice, making Hesabeth's presence entirely unexpected. Yet, despite most humans present being unaware of the Minori's significance, they were overwhelmed by a palpable wave of reverence and adoration emanating from the carriage upon Queen Hesabeth's appearance. Every bystander instinctively bowed their heads as the carriage glided past, with some even falling to their knees in deep respect and awe!
The carriage halted directly before the grand entrance of the Marc restaurant, and the soldier acting as its driver alighted to open the door. Three additional carriages followed the first, from which multiple soldiers disembarked. While Hesabeth usually traveled with a far larger contingent, she had intentionally reduced her escort for this personal visit.
Riyala emerged first from the carriage, a look of contentment gracing her features, reflecting the highly successful business transaction between Radagan and the Minori. She moved to the side, awaiting patiently. A collective gasp of awe rippled through the onlookers as Hesabeth finally made her grand appearance. Her long, scarlet hair cascaded behind her like a crimson veil, and her golden eyes surveyed the crowd with detached impassivity. Hesabeth's gown, fashioned from the most exquisite red silk, was adorned with black and gold trims, bestowing upon it an aura of sophisticated regality! Drawing open her fan, she concealed her lower face before allowing her gaze to sweep over the commoners before her! Not a single soul dared to meet her eyes, for Hesabeth's inherent 'Bias' had enveloped their minds with overwhelming love and reverence for her, compelling them to bow their heads in utter deference!
A soft, satisfied hum escaped Hesabeth as she turned from the crowd, her attention finally focusing on the restaurant! Through the glass facade, she could discern Jason and Gina standing within, accompanied by several other individuals, awaiting her arrival. Hesabeth drew a deep, steadying breath, a flicker of nervousness betraying her composure as she prepared to enter. She recalled experiencing such an unfamiliar sensation only once before in her life – during her conversation with Gina about joining their relationship. This feeling was profoundly strange and new to Hesabeth; however, she would have been far more surprised had she felt no apprehension at all! After all, what woman wouldn't feel a measure of nervousness when about to meet the mother of the man she loved!?
Nevertheless, Hesabeth reassured herself. She was Hesabeth, after all. It was an immutable truth, woven into the very fabric of existence since time immemorial, that everyone would inevitably come to love and adore her.
"You appear nervous."
Riyala approached Hesabeth, her voice a low murmur. Hesabeth glanced at her companion, catching the knowing glint in Riyala's eyes. A faint blush tinged Hesabeth's cheeks, but she quickly suppressed it before replying with affected haughtiness.
"Absurd. I am never nervous. I feel perfectly calm."
"Is that so...?"
Hesabeth hummed, taking another deep, shaky breath before admitting softly.
"Do you believe she will like me?"
A wave of shock coursed through Riyala upon hearing Hesabeth’s question, and for the very first time, a trace of nervousness seeped into Hesabeth’s tone. Indeed, Jason Ahdbene was correct; Hesabeth harbored a hidden agenda in speaking with Riyala earlier. The trade route discussions concluded with surprising swiftness, leaving Hesabeth ample time to interrogate Riyala extensively about Mira. Not only was Hesabeth eager to glean every detail about Jason’s mother, but she also sought advice on the optimal approach to securing Mira’s acceptance into the family. Customarily, Hesabeth paid no mind to others' opinions of her. She considered herself flawless, believing any dislike directed her way stemmed solely from the other person's inadequacy! Yet, Hesabeth understood that such a philosophy was inapplicable to the mother of the man she loved. On Minori, a husband's mother wielded significant influence over a couple's marital happiness; a mother-in-law's disapproval could render a home far from peaceful! At this moment, Hesabeth felt a greater apprehension than she had when meeting Gina!
"There's no need for your worry, Hesabeth. She will adore you," Riyala finally responded to Hesabeth’s inquiry. Hesabeth turned to find Riyala offering a gentle smile. Riyala sensed Hesabeth's unease and wished to reassure her that all would proceed smoothly. Hesabeth exhaled a final, steadying breath before stepping forward and advancing toward the restaurant.
Inside the establishment, Jason observed Hesabeth's approach with a composed demeanor. He noted the evident bewilderment on the faces of those unfamiliar with Hesabeth. Francis and Janet appeared utterly bewildered, and even Juliet was clueless as to what was unfolding.
Hesabeth glided past the Gaia agents stationed outside, eliciting a soft chuckle from Jason as he witnessed them bowing to her, despite their lack of recognition. Hesbeth’s Bias was truly remarkable.
Ring~!
The bell above the door chimed as a soldier opened it for Hesabeth. She entered the restaurant, her gaze calmly surveying the interior. A smile was directed first at Jason and Gina before her eyes finally rested upon Mira Marc. Hesabeth immediately perceived the familial resemblance to Jason and quickly deduced that this was his mother. She dialed back the intensity of her Bias to avoid influencing Mira and gestured to the soldier beside her. The soldier promptly produced a whisper stone, holding it with reverence, and Hesabeth first looked toward Jason with an interrogative expression. Jason offered a supportive nod, and Hesabeth snapped her fan shut before finally turning her attention to Mira.
