Jason and Gina return to Earth after Jason's ascension as Overlord. Their arrival sends a powerful shockwave across the globe, making all other superhumans feel insignificant. Back home, Jason checks in with his subordinate Alpha, learning that his family is safe and his friends are pursuing their own paths. Meanwhile, Gaia agents surround a restaurant where Jason plans to meet Cercei, seemingly anticipating his arrival.

Fredrica could only emit a weary sigh as she recalled her prior encounter with Mira. She fervently hoped that her actions hadn't cast her in a poor light before Mira. The existing friction between Jason and Gaia was already a significant concern, and it would be utterly disastrous if they also managed to antagonize the mother of the world's most formidable individual!

Fredrica continued her vigil, awaiting Jason's arrival on Earth. Suddenly, a surge of power emanated from a distant location, causing Fredrica to look up in astonishment, a bead of sweat trickling down her temple. This pulse of power was the unmistakable signal that Jason and Gina had indeed landed on Earth. However, the sensation Fredrica was experiencing at that moment was utterly inexplicable! She observed that every other superhuman in her vicinity was registering the same phenomenon. They could all discern that the strength of the two newly arrived individuals far surpassed their comprehension. Taking deep breaths to steady herself, Fredrica was about to instruct the soldiers to prepare for movement to intercept Jason when, before she could utter the command, she felt her eyes widen as Jason's power materialized directly before them!

BOOM!

"!"

Fredrica felt a jolt course through her being, causing her to stagger backward in sheer shock. Every soldier present with Fredrica also took several paces back, some even collapsing to their knees under the impact of the tremor. Fredrica watched, stunned, as two figures gradually ascended from the encroaching shadows. Gina Fey wore a smile as she gazed towards the Marc restaurant ahead, while Jason Marc's expression was stern as he surveyed the military personnel surrounding his mother's establishment. Jason's gaze shifted to Fredrica, and she felt her entire body freeze with terror as she met his eyes. Fredrica was paralyzed! She couldn't even draw breath! It felt as though she were drowning in a vast ocean, with no amount of struggle offering any hope of escape. Jason took a step closer, and Fredrica nearly lost consciousness!

"Jason Marc. It is an honor to welcome you back to Earth. I observe that your journey through the Primordial Expanse has yielded substantial rewards. However, I would be most appreciative if you could exercise greater restraint with your power output. At this rate, you risk harming someone."

Jason couldn't help but let out an amused scoff upon hearing the familiar voice from behind him. He turned to find Cercei standing there, hands clasped behind his back. Cercei maintained a composed demeanor, seemingly unaffected by Jason's overwhelming mana. Yet, Jason suspected Cercei was employing a magical artifact or rune to nullify the oppressive aura. Given that Cercei was merely a regular human, it was inconceivable he could withstand Jason's mana through sheer personal fortitude. Jason calmly assessed Cercei, then frowned in irritation before speaking.

"You're still in one piece. I had rather hoped you would be deceased by now."

Cercei responded to this grim pronouncement with only a serene smile. He nodded and replied in a gentle tone.

"Death remains distant for me, Jason. I have taken steps to ensure it. Now, I presume you would be amenable to a brief examination to ascertain the potential danger your mana poses to the general populace for - Jason, wait!"

Cercei's words were abruptly cut off as Jason whirled around and began to walk away, disregarding Cercei's ongoing statement entirely. Cercei extended a hand in an attempt to halt Jason, but Jason merely waved dismissively over his shoulder.

"I shall attend to all of that shortly. For the present, one of my subordinates will escort you elsewhere. Await my return there, as I need to speak with all of you."

Cercei blinked in surprise, pondering Jason's cryptic message. Inside, he could only curse his fate as a shadowy figure emerged from behind him, seized his shoulder, and forcibly pulled him to the ground before escorting him away. The Gaia agents could only watch helplessly as their leader was unceremoniously dragged off. Overwhelmed by sheer terror of Jason in that moment, none of them could intervene. As Jason and Gina approached the restaurant entrance, both began to suppress their respective magical energies even further, reducing their output to a mere one percent of their full capacity. A complete suppression of their mana was impossible, leaving them with only the option to minimize their release to approximately one percent. Despite this drastically reduced output, the agent stationed by the restaurant's doorway felt an involuntary shiver run through his body, prompting him to swiftly move aside and create an opening for Jason and Gina to enter.

Ring~!

The bell above the entrance chimed as Jason entered the establishment, and he paused, taking in the dramatic transformation the restaurant had undergone during his absence. It had not only expanded in size but was now adorned with opulent decorations, all upgraded to accommodate a larger clientele. Off to the side, Juliet sat with Francis and Janet, their faces etched with expressions of utter disbelief as they gazed at Jason. However, Jason's gaze was wholly fixated on the woman standing before him, her eyes wide with emotion. Mira, clad in a stained apron with slightly disheveled hair, stood opposite him, yet Jason paid no mind to her appearance.

With a slight tilt of his head and a playful smirk, Jason inquired, "Table for two?"

A sob escaped Mira as tears instantly began to cascade down her face like a flowing river. She surged forward, enveloping Jason in the most intense hug he had ever experienced! Burying her face into his shoulder, Mira wept uncontrollably, like a child. Jason gently wrapped one arm around his mother's slender waist, holding her close, while his other hand rested on the back of her head, drawing her nearer to his chest. In a voice imbued with calmness and peace, Jason spoke, "I'm back, Mom. Sorry it took so long."

Mira let out another soft sniffle, then pulled back, a tearful smile gracing her lips as she happily ran her hand over Jason's face. She drew him down, leaning in to plant a kiss on his forehead. Jason closed his eyes, savoring this tranquil moment with his mother.

"I missed you terribly, my baby. I prayed for your safe return every single day. Thank you for coming back to me," Mira's voice was a low, tear-choked whisper, audible only to Jason. He offered a calm nod to his mother. Jason surveyed his mother's appearance; despite her efforts to conceal it, he could discern the dark circles beneath her eyes and the worry lines etched onto her face, clear testaments to the immense stress she endured over him. Jason had never wished to put his mother through such hardship, knowing all too well the pain of his father's disappearance. Now, he was simply relieved to have survived and returned to her. Jason dared not contemplate what might have befallen Mira had he perished; it became his solemn vow to ensure such a tragedy would never strike again!

Mira patted Jason's chest a few times, her smile broadening further. Jason returned her smile as Mira finally turned, her gaze falling upon Gina, who waited patiently for their reunion to conclude. Mira's face lit up like a beacon upon seeing Gina, who responded with a radiant smile. Mira walked over and embraced Gina in a heartfelt hug as well!

"Welcome back, sweetie! You look absolutely glowing!" Mira exclaimed, her voice filled with warmth. She lovingly stroked Gina's cheek, eliciting a blush from the latter.
