Gina boldly withstood the Spirit Queen's fury and secured the Elven Queen's spirit in exchange for the sacred fruit, which the spirit eagerly carried back to its body. Relieved yet frustrated, Gina vented to the Queen about her spirit companion Ulyn's refusal to aid against the Valkan beast. The pair bickered childishly until the Spirit Queen intervened, praising Gina's solo prowess while issuing a dire warning to Ulyn: further defiance meant eternal banishment to the monotonous realm of Harken.

The mere warning from the Spirit Queen struck terror into young Ulyn's heart, leaving Gina stunned as Ulyn abruptly fell silent and withdrew with a face full of fear! For the first time, Ulyn refrained from firing back in anger, and Gina understood that the Spirit Queen’s warning held real gravity! The Spirit Queen fixed her narrowed eyes on Ulyn before speaking.

’If you don’t want me to intervene, then make sure you don’t ruin this partnership as well. You have a lot of potential, Ulyn, but you need to let go of your prejudice against mortals. I understand that you have seen far more than most of your sisters, but all mortals are not the same. Give Gina a chance to prove herself to you before you judge her so harshly. Now, I’m sure both of you have many things to do out there. Please leave.’

With a smile on her face as she uttered those final words, the Spirit Queen clutched the fruits tightly, a clear sign to Gina that the Queen was eager to shoo them away for her own indulgence. A mighty force suddenly propelled Gina and Ulyn outward, and Gina gasped upon awakening outside the cave in her true form. She rose gradually, brushing off the dust, and shot a frown toward the cave! The Spirit Queen could have at least expelled her gently! Was hurling her out like trash truly necessary!?

"Ouch, that must’ve hurt like a bitch."

Suddenly, a voice rang out right next to Gina, and for an instant, she chuckled at the familiar tone. She nearly shot back with sarcasm, promising revenge on the Queen, but froze in shock! Confusion flooded her mind as she scowled! That voice—she recognized it instantly! Yet his presence here defied logic! Dread gripped her at the thought of turning around! Maybe it was just her imagination playing tricks! After obsessing over him for days, hallucinating his voice seemed plausible! Yeah, that explained it—she must have conjured it up! Gina let out a nervous laugh at her own madness, but then the voice sounded again.

"You’re not even gonna look at me, babe?"

Gina’s body jerked as if struck by lightning, and she whipped around with eyes wide in disbelief! There, seated cross-legged beside her with a calm smile, sat Jason Marc. He wore a sleek black shirt and perfectly fitted black trousers. His long hair was pulled into a ponytail at the back, and his grin revealed sharp fangs peeking from his lips. Jason met Gina’s gaze with that intense stare that always sent shivers through her, speaking in a soothing, affectionate tone.

"Hey, babe. I missed you."

A torrent of powerful emotions surged from the depths of Gina’s soul! Overwhelmed by the intensity, she couldn’t pinpoint her feelings, her face twisting in blissful agony as tears streamed down! Like a cascading river, tears flowed freely, and Jason chuckled while opening his arms wide! Gina leaped into his embrace, and the reunited lovers tumbled to the ground amid tangled limbs, sobs, and joyous laughter! She buried her face desperately into Jason’s chest, weeping as she cherished his warmth! Gently stroking her hair, Jason planted a kiss atop her head, letting her pour out every pent-up feeling! Though only seven days had passed since their last meeting, to Jason it felt like eternities, and he couldn’t fathom Gina’s longing! Drawing back from the embrace, Gina cupped Jason’s face tenderly, inspecting him like a treasured relic! Her fingers traced his cheek, nose, brow, and throat! She stroked his ears, ran her hand through his hair, then brushed his lips and fangs! Tears still fell, yet Jason saw her laughing amid them, grinning as Gina whispered:

"It’s really you. I’m not hallucinating, right? You’re here?"

Jason lifted his hand to caress Gina’s cheek softly, then drew her down for a tender kiss. The instant their lips met, electric sparks raced through Gina’s body, drawing a shocked gasp! Moments later, Jason pulled away, gazing into her stunned eyes with a warm smile.

"Of course it’s me. I’m back, Gina."

Another wave of raw emotions erupted within Gina at those words, and she burst into joyful laughter, seizing Jason’s collar to yank him into a passionate kiss! Lost in the bliss, the lovers ignored their surroundings completely! Jason’s arm encircled her waist, drawing her tight, while Gina straddled him, her arms enveloping him as she savored his lips!

Truth be told, Jason had escaped Merivo’s Paradise that very morning. Once their seven days ended, he and Hesbeath departed the dimension, and his first act upon freedom was expressing gratitude to Hesbeath before vanishing via [King’s Substitute] to Arandelle. Upon arrival, he rendezvoused with Stella beyond the Forest of Eternal Wind, stunned by her profound reverence! She dropped to one knee in deep bow, and even after his apology for Aquinas events, Stella refused, staring firmly as she vowed to sacrifice her body for the royal family again without hesitation! Overwhelmed by her loyalty, Jason recognized her as utterly trustworthy, fostering deep respect for her dedication.

Elf soldiers stationed outside the forest buzzed with shocked murmurs and whispers upon seeing Jason, and he sensed tales of his Machina exploits had circulated widely. He cared little for distortions, exaggerations, or spins in those stories—later concerns! Priority was discovering Gina’s purpose in the woods. Mental link aside, after prolonged separation, Jason craved physical reunion and a surprise reveal. Stella briefed him on Gina and Farlow’s mission, piquing Jason’s mild interest as he ventured into the forest! Warnings flew about lurking dangers—spirits invisible to non-Sages or Spirit Arts practitioners—but Jason dismissed them casually. Surviving the Grim Reaper meant mere spirits posed no threat!
