Jason navigated through the forest, tracing the destructive trail left by Gina and Farlow to pursue them. A handful of spirits ventured near Jason, yet the instant they detected the vast power surging within him along with his Vympiric abilities, sheer terror overtook their forms, prompting them to scatter and steer clear! Jason sensed prying eyes upon him, and merely activating one special eye allowed him to spot the spirits fleeing to dodge any confrontation. With a casual shrug, Jason forged ahead! Eventually, he arrived at the spot where Gina and Farlow had battled the Valkan, whistling softly in astonishment! Total ruin dominated the landscape, leaving Jason in awe of the colossal force the three must have unleashed! He saw that the forest had been meticulously restored, with felled trees properly interred after the fight, and Jason knew instinctively it was Farlow's handiwork. Being forest beings, Elves like Farlow undoubtedly carried guilt over the widespread tree devastation from their clash.

Jason glanced leftward, mildly startled to behold a tree striding across the woods on root-formed legs. It resembled a bizarre cartoonish entity, shadowed tendrils encircling it to shield from sunlight. As it crossed his path, the tree shot Jason a look, and he simply watched it pass with an entertained expression. A perambulating tree? Far from the oddest spectacle Jason had witnessed!

Soon after, Jason entered the clearing and discovered Farlow seated before the vast lake. His gaze shifted across the water, eyes narrowing at Gina's prone form near a cave mouth. Approaching to stand by Farlow, Jason voiced his question.

"Is there a reason my girlfriend is currently unconscious in front of a dark cave?"

Farlow's face lit up with a smile upon hearing Jason's voice, having sensed his approach beforehand and thus unsurprised. Turning to Jason, Farlow gestured for him to sit nearby. Once settled, Farlow recounted the events. Their discussion proved lengthy and captivating, and by its end, Jason marveled at Gina's remarkable progress during their brief separation. He was thrilled she'd embraced her training with such dedication! Before they wrapped up, a blue orb burst from the cave, prompting Farlow to leap up as it zipped toward him! It circled him briefly before streaking back to Arandelle, eliciting Farlow's broadest grin Jason had ever seen on the Elven King as he exclaimed.

"That’s my wife’s spirit. Gina actually did it. Haha, I can’t believe this."

Jason had never witnessed the haughty king display such raw emotion, realizing then that nothing mattered more to Farlow than his wife. Urging Farlow to go, Jason noted his reluctance, as Farlow wished to thank Gina in person. But Jason shook his head firmly.

"She’s my partner, so I’ll be here to welcome her back. It’s only right that you’re there to welcome your partner when she wakes up."

Farlow exhaled deeply, nodding in agreement, then stunned Jason with a sudden embrace and heartfelt thanks for all he'd done before soaring skyward after the blue orb! Thus, Jason ended up stationed outside the cave, awaiting Gina's awakening.

Gina murmured softly upon pulling away from Jason moments later, and he nodded while gently tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. She teetered on the verge of fresh tears, so Jason grinned, pressing kisses to her eye, nose, and lips. He had sorely missed his little crybaby. Words formed on his tongue, but surprise halted him as he spotted something hovering near Gina. His eyes shifted blue, engaging [Qi Sense], revealing the figure by her shoulder. Spirits, beings of pure lifeforce, evaded mortal sight without assuming physical form. Yet Jason's Qi, rooted in lifeforce, let him perceive them via its essence. This synergy enabled many Qi practitioners in the Primordial Expanse to harness Spirit Energy, despite not being Spirit Arts specialists! Though weaker than true Spirit Arts wielders' version, it still outmatched standard mages!

Once the entity beside Gina's shoulder sharpened into view, Jason hummed curiously! Is that a fairy?

Posing the query to Gina, she settled onto his lap with a slight frown, confirming it was. Glancing at her spirit companion Ulyn, she made introductions.

"Jason, this is Ulyn, my spirit partner, and Ulyn, this is Jason, my fiancé."

Jason hummed while absorbing the info, then faced Ulyn fully. She'd been fixated on him, seemingly awaiting his greeting. Yet examining her features surprised him, prompting a raised brow toward Gina.
