The pressure in the air suddenly quadrupled as Jason activated his Resonance, and the Kraken looked to the side as it saw Jason floating in the air with his hand pointed towards the Kraken’s head. There was a ball of energy growing on Jason’s hand, and the sheer power flowing off that ball nearly suffocated everyone. For a moment, Jason thought that the Kraken would drop the ship to try and defend itself, but Jason was surprised when the Kraken actually brought the ship forward and used it to block the path between itself and Jason.

’It’s intelligent. Not bad!’

Jason’s lips split into a smile when he saw that the Kraken wasn’t just powerful with no brains. The Kraken knew that this attack was dangerous, so it was trying to prevent Jason from attacking by using Jason’s comrades. But the Kraken had seriously underestimated what Jason was capable of!

ROARRR!

A loud roar echoed from above, and the Kraken looked up to see the large PRIMORDIAL Lightning dragon approaching from a distance. The dragon raised its wings wide and summoned its element. The day darkened, and golden light flashed through the air before the dragon unleashed its attack.

[Rain of Lightning]!

The storm cloud unleashed hundreds of thousands of lightning bolts straight towards the Kraken, and since the Kraken was such a large beast, not a single one of them missed.

ROARRR!

The Kraken let out a loud roar of pain as it was pummelled by the intense lightning bolts, and in its panic, it let go of the ship and allowed it to fall back into the water. The Kraken seemed to realise what it had done only at the last minute, and it turned back to Jason in shock. Jason’s mouth was still split into that nasty grin, and Jason wasted no time as he punished the Kraken for its mistake.

TWOOM!

KA-BOOM!

An unbelievable explosion tore through the sea and blasted the Kraken back through the water. The large pirate ship below began to dance dangerously on the water as it was almost capsized by the intense waves generated by the explosion, and all the pirates had to grab hold of the ship to make sure they weren’t thrown overboard!

Valeria put her hand up and activated a skill!

[Lady of the Lake]!

This was a TITAN Rank skill that allowed Valeria to have complete control of any body of water around her, and Valeria was able to immediately take control of the water and force the ship to begin moving away from the fight so that they wouldn’t be affected by the waves. Ronna would have helped out, but she was a brawler, and she didn’t have any skills that could help with water control like Valeria, so she could only watch while holding on to the ship.

Right now, Valeria was facing away from Ronna while doing her work, and Jason was floating hundreds of meters away from them while fighting the Kraken, and Ronna suddenly felt a mad thought enter her head. What if she just killed Valeria and escaped with the ship?

Since Jason was distracted by the Kraken, there was no way he could get them, so they could get very far away. But a loud roar from above quickly made those thoughts vanish from Ronna’s mind. If Ronna tried to do what was on her mind, then she would be giving Jason enough reason to finally kill all of them. They had a 50-50 chance of surviving against the Kraken with Jason here to protect them, but they had no chance of surviving if Jason decided that he wanted to take their life as well. Ronna decided to just watch and see what happened for now. If it looked like Jason was losing, then they would escape. Ronna turned towards the Kraken, expecting to see it preparing another attack, but Ronna was shocked when she saw the state that the Kraken was in.

The Kraken had recognised the obvious danger it was in from Jason’s attack, and it had immediately brought up a defensive water shield around its body in the last moment, but that had not been enough. The water shield had been eradicated by the Resonance Orb, and a large part of the Kraken’s left side had been burnt and torn to pieces by the explosion. The Kraken was injured!

That final statement was something that Ronna didn’t even believe was possible! It was so outlandish that Ronna thought she must be dreaming! Ronna remembered the intense Battle of Capri that occurred only a few hundred years ago. It had been a massive three-way battle between the three strongest PRIMORDIALS in this world, the Kraken, the dragon, and the Pirate King, and that battle had sent ripples through the entire world before ending in a stalemate because none of the PRIMORDIALS were able to hurt the other seriously.

So how in the world was this man doing this much damage to one of the most dangerous creatures in their world!?

Another intense surge of power tore through the region, and Ronna looked back at Jason to see that he was preparing another attack. The Kraken immediately felt fear surge through its body when it saw this, and it reached into the Ocean with its tentacles and sucked up an insane amount of water before it brought its hands up and unleashed a massive attack on Jason.

BOOM!

Dozens of water jets flew straight towards Jason with enough force to tear through Primordial skin easily. Jason brought his other hand up, and he sent Resonance mana out in a wave of protection. The water jets slammed into the resonance shield, and they split apart towards either side of Jason without causing him any harm. Jason had trained his Resonance so much over the past few weeks that when Jason was in this state, he didn’t have to fear an attack from any mage in the same Rank as him.

The Kraken’s attack continued for more than a full minute, and Jason could feel the Resonance beginning to burn his skin as he held it for too long, but Jason didn’t even care as his Phoenix ability activated and immediately began to heal him. Jason knew that as long as he stayed well below the 40% threshold, he would be fine.

The Kraken continued its attack while moving away from Jason, and it used some of its free tentacles to slap away some of Jason’s Legion monsters that tried to come close and attack it. Once the Kraken was finally running out of steam, it stopped the attack and dropped its hands to see what had happened to Jason, and the Kraken was shocked when it felt the pressure in the region still rising as Jason’s Resonance Orb continued to grow. The Kraken’s attack hadn’t done any damage at all!

The Kraken immediately realised that it was fighting against a beast far more powerful than it, and it gave up on attacking and immediately dived into the water to try and get away from Jason. But Jason didn’t bother chasing after it. Jason simply aimed at the Kraken through the water and unleashed his attack.

TWOON!

A blast of pure energy, like a ray of starlight, shot forward from Jason’s arms and pierced into the water. For a moment, there was no movement at all from anyone, and every single person watching the fight seemed to hold their breath as they waited for something to happen, but then there was a muted impact as a sonic boom echoed from underwater, and the ocean exploded.
